I feel like Witches are kinda boring and underutilised compared to their Villager and Illager cousins, so I want to suggest some changes that would, in my opinion, make Witches more interesting.

1. Change the Witch name to something that fits the naming convention of the Villager and Illager mobs (that is that their names end with the letter r or -er). My suggestions for the new name are either Witchers (I'm only half joking on this), Spellagers, Cursagers, or Hexagers. For the sake of simplicity, I will still use Witch going forward in this post instead of any of the above.

2. Make Witches live together in communities like Illagers and Villagers. This community would then live on a village-like place called a Coven Camp, a group of Witch Huts of various sizes, placed in a way that they form a sort-of circle. In the middle of this Coven Camps is their Great Cauldron, a new "block" that is basically a Cauldron but the size of a 3x3 structure, and is placed on top of a bunch of lit campfires.

3. Change their spawning. Witches, and by extension Coven Camps, now spawn not only in Swamps or Mangrove Swamps, but also in all Wetland Biomes, Lush Caves, and Mushroom Fields.

Witch variants. The current Witch would be renamed as Head-Brewers, the leaders of the Coven. Alongside their original abilities, Head-Brewers can also summon a Living Cauldron, an animated Cauldron that can fire balls of magic at the Head-Brewers' enemies (think of the corrupted cauldron from Dungeons, but smaller and weaker)

The first variants are called the Gardeners, Witches who are second-in-command to the Head-Brewers and can summon a long vine to attack players from a distance, as well as pulling the player towards them. They also have the ability to throw bottles of poison.

The second variants are called the Gunkers, the most common of the Witch variants who can summon Slime mobs of various sizes to attack the player. They also have the ability to throw Potions of Oozing.

The third and last variants are simply called Fireworkers, and they are the lowest ranked of the Witch Covens, mainly since they use crossbows to shoot 4-star, firework rockets instead of anything much more "magical". They can also throw and drink potions of fire resistance. Fireworkers can also spawn in Villages, and will help the Village fight back against a Raid.

All of these Witch variants would be differentiated by their clothings, like how Head-Brewers wear larger hats and have a purple necklace, Fireworkers have the smallest hats and have gunpowder marks, Gunkers have some slime on their body, etc.

5. Giving them a "monster" mob. This monster mob would function similar to Iron Golems and Ravagers in that they are big mobs that give extra power to Villagers and Illagers respectively. This mob would be called Fungeants, and they would be large mushroom-like mobs with four legs and two arms, and they would have the ability to stun their targets every few seconds.

6. Changing their behavior. Witches are no longer Hostile, but are Neutral to the players, as a conteast to the Peaceful Villagers and the Hostile Illagers. You can't trade with Witches, but if you fill up their Great Cauldron and make a potion in it, they will throw either brewing items or ore items at your way.
