Vlad Rodriguez is an Artist & Illustrator focusing primarily on Pop Culture, Film and Music. They say that the human hand is the hardest thing to draw. While it may very well be true, it's the eyes that draw my attention the most. Ukrainian artist Pavel Guzenko manages to capture the glimmering gaze of the human eye with his impressionist technique. Each shimmering orb depicts a remarkable reflective surface, truly capturing the sparkle in one's eye. Guzenko, who lives and works in Kiev, began his artistic career as a designer but has pursued his professional path in painting since 2006. The oil painter has a rich color palette that is evident in the body of his work that goes beyond the confines of the human eye. He says that it all started from when he wondered “I could bring the atmosphere or dynamism of my paintings with a more different way if I place sculptures in front of paintings”. Many viewers tend to assume that there is a light source set into his work itself because of the strong expression of lights in his sculpture. His further steps have been noticed as he has been featured by lots of media from overseas, including a cultural magazine from the USA that featured him on their front cover and a long interview.
