Deadly Six x Reader Headcanons
(Jealousy + realization + falling in love)
Zavok
Zavok does not notice when he begins favoring you. At first he simply assigns you closer to him during missions because you are “efficient.”
Eventually the others notice you are the only one allowed to question him without punishment. Zavok calls it “useful feedback.”
Zavok realizes something is different the first time you are injured in battle and he reacts before thinking, destroying the enemy far more violently than necessary.
He denies any emotional attachment. In his mind you are simply a valuable asset to protect.
However, if another member of the Deadly Six mocks you or tries to command you, Zavok shuts it down immediately. Only he decides your place.
If someone outside the group shows interest in you, Zavok becomes terrifyingly quiet. He will stand slightly closer to you and stare until the other person leaves.
Zavok never says “I love you.” Instead his version sounds like:
“You belong beside me. That is not a suggestion.”
When Zavok fully accepts his feelings, he begins consulting you on decisions that affect the entire Deadly Six.
To him, sharing power means absolute trust.
You become the only person he willingly lowers his guard around.
Zazz
Zazz realizes he likes you because you’re the only person who can keep up with his chaos.
At first he just thinks you're fun to drag into trouble.
The moment he realizes he actually cares is when you get hurt during one of his reckless stunts and he panics for half a second before covering it with laughter.
If someone flirts with you, Zazz immediately escalates things into a challenge or competition.
He’ll suddenly try to show off in ridiculous ways: smashing robots faster, jumping higher, doing dangerous tricks.
The others quickly notice that Zazz never lets anyone insult you.
Zazz falls in love loudly. He’s constantly around you, dragging you places and trying to make you laugh.
If you show affection back, he becomes a little stunned every time like he can’t believe someone actually likes him.
When he finally admits it, it comes out like:
“Don’t get weird about it or anything… but you're my favorite person to cause chaos with.”
Zeena
Zeena initially treats you like a mildly interesting distraction.
She doesn’t realize she likes you until she catches herself actually listening when you talk instead of tuning out.
If someone else gets your attention for too long, Zeena becomes visibly annoyed and interrupts with sarcastic remarks.
She claims she’s only hanging out with you because everyone else is boring.
When she starts falling for you, she begins pulling you into her personal space more often—leaning against you, sitting close, stealing your things.
If someone flirts with you she acts dismissive, but later she’ll complain about that person for hours.
Zeena expresses affection through attention. If she likes you, she always wants you nearby even if she pretends she doesn’t care.
Eventually she starts letting her guard down around you, showing moments where she’s less sarcastic and more honest.
Her closest thing to a confession would sound like:
“Ugh… don’t make this a big deal. I just prefer you over everyone else."
Zomom
Zomom likes you almost immediately because you're nice to him.
At first he thinks you're just a good friend who enjoys food with him.
He realizes he has feelings when someone insults you and he becomes genuinely angry instead of confused.
Zomom shows affection by constantly bringing you snacks he thinks you’ll like.
If someone else offers you food, he gets quietly competitive and tries to bring something better next time.
When you praise his cooking or share meals with him, he lights up like you’ve given him the greatest compliment in the world.
Zomom falling in love is very simple and sincere. He just wants you around while he eats, talks, or relaxes.
He becomes extremely protective if you’re in danger.
His confession is probably the most straightforward:
“I like eating with you. I like everything more when you're there."
Zik
Zik recognizes your potential almost immediately and begins mentoring you in small ways.
At first he believes his interest is purely intellectual.
He realizes his feelings when he finds himself worrying about your wellbeing during missions.
If someone dismisses you or underestimates you, Zik calmly corrects them with unsettling precision.
He enjoys quiet time with you more than anything else—training, discussing philosophy, or simply observing the world.
Jealousy shows in subtle ways. If someone monopolizes your attention, he may quietly interrupt with a question or lesson.
Zik falls in love slowly and thoughtfully.
To him, love means respect and shared growth.
When he finally acknowledges it, he says something like:
“Your presence improves my mind. That is… rare.”
Zor
Zor insists he doesn’t care about you.
He just happens to sit near you. Constantly.
He realizes he likes you when you disappear for a while and he notices the world feels even more miserable than usual.
If someone flirts with you, Zor becomes bitter and sarcastic toward that person immediately.
He denies jealousy, claiming everyone is equally annoying.
However, if you’re upset or hurt emotionally, he becomes noticeably darker and more hostile toward whoever caused it.
Zor falling in love is quiet and reluctant.
He never makes a big confession, but he slowly starts letting you see the rare moments when he isn’t hiding behind sarcasm.
The closest thing he gets to admitting it would be:
