You lived on this planet for decades, you know what you like, there are hundreds of websites where you can type into any search engine " things to do in [area]" and have at least a hundred different options.

"Oh I only use it so I can figure out what to make during the week with what I have"

The most popular website as you type in "recipes" into google have sections where you click dinner- quick and easy and those usually rely on staples + 1 or 2 items. I found 30 recipes on chicken alone.

"I had a writing idea, so I typed a few sentences into Chat GPT and I was able to write 20 pages with it."

For anyone who doesn’t know, we grew up living off of Brian Jacque’s Redwall series, which we remember most prominently for 1) its depictions of hope in impossible circumstances, and 2) its vivid and enviable descriptions of the food served at feasts. Well, today, 10-15 years after consuming this entire saga, guess what I found at the library.

It has recipes for everything I ever wanted. Strawberry fizz, Blackberry and Apple Cake, classic Redwall scones. And as if that’s not enough, a note from the author himself:

This reminds me about the point someone made that everyone tries to copy Tolkein's epic fantasy, but the real reason Tolkein's works endure and shine is because HE WROTE ABOUT WHAT HE LOVED. He loved workdbuilding and languages and ridiculously intricate lore.

Brian Jacques loved painting word pictures of food, and by goodness, he wrote what he loved. Could be one of the many reasons why his epic fantasy series feels so original - because he was more focused on what he wanted to write than trying to mimic the "cool" parts of what had come before ^^
