I wonder how each of the clan members would react if Eiden died. So here's my hcs:
(In this scenario Eiden sacrifices himself or smth and it's like a snowwhite situation, and will eventually wake up.)
Aster: I think he would isolate himself from everything and everyone for a long time.
Morvey: opposite of aster, he'd try to forget it by never being alone.
Yakumo: I think surprisingly he'd be the most put together, he'd try to be as strong as possible to support the others. But he'd breakdown with the smallest of cracks, no matter how much time passes.
Edmond: He tries to drown himself in work but his life has stopped, he will get better, but that place will always remain hollow. His biggest regret that he could do nothing about.
Olivine: he'd turn self-destructive, he struggles to find a reason to be happy, out of everyone I think he'd heal the best in the long run and Eiden would be a sweet memory that fuels him to live his life the fullest.
Quincy: he will be more irritable, more like his younger self, but he has gone through this before so he tries to help at first but ultimately will return to his home after visiting Eidenβs body one last time; becoming the hermit of the forest yet again.
Kuya: lowkey he'd go insane. He knew it was bound to happen but he was just not ready. He knows he can't revive him yet he is trying and doesn't want anyone to know or see his franting grasping at straws. He is more hateful and aggressive than ever. Will pick a fight with anyone that takes the bait, in a more intense way that he was at the beginning of the main story.
KaruGaru: I'm not doing this. Of course we know how sad and heartbroken they'd be. But I think they are better at coping than Kuya and Dante but it matures them significantly.
Blade: I think he struggles to get it. Once he accepts that darling will never come back he has to deal with grief this major for the first time and his shine will never be the same, he can't get as excited about things when he can't share it with Eiden.
Dante: this is a conformation for him to never , ever love somone again. I don't think he'd let it get into what he does as a ruler, but he'd be an infinitely colder person. afterwards he can't help but still visit and to look at everything he has left of Eiden even though he refuses to carry anything with him.
Rei: on the outside, it's like nothing has happened, he'd try to push it down as much as possible, this is his life, having nothing is his life, this is return to his normal if nothing else, he always knew this was ephemeral. Despite this, he finds his research going more more towards essence of souls. Out of everyone, he is the one that can't lash out.(He thought he would be the first to go in what they had).
