I remember as a kid watching Entertainment Tonight just to get BTS info on movies and actors. I was always intrigued by the stunts, special effects, or special training an actor had to do for a movie.
I want to get "Klaus" on physical media because I love that freaking movie and I want to watch the bonus features. But Netflix is stupid and won't sell it.

Like every death during Covid was attributed to Covid and the media was hellbent on making it seem like unvaccinated people were the most at risk when that’s not true and we all know it. The “vaccine” was experimental and untested and didn’t do shit. Covid had a nearly 100% recovery rate without the vaccine so you are seriously behind the times if you believe a single word you wrote.
Florida was one of the best performing states during Covid and they didn’t bother with the stupid mask or vaccine mandates that you still hilariously believe saved any lives.

Not only is having worldbuilding threads that are mentioned once and never picked up again not a flaw in fantasy media, I'd go so far as to say that a lack of such threads is a flaw. If everything ties up in one neat little package, you're missing the point of fantasy worldbuilding. Like, don't do it on every page, or your setting is going to be an overstuffed mess, but every so often you are not only allowed but obligated to casually drop some utterly batshit worldbuilding detail and then just never follow up on it. Maybe some rocks are sentient. You don't owe your reader an explanation. Just fucking go for it.

Checkovs gun, as I prefer to interpret it, means the thing must serve a purpose. It can't just be there for no reason.
Sentient rocks are mentioned. What purpose do they serve? World building. Does it feel like it should be relevant later? Perhaps, but it still serves it's purpose.
I read a book that mentioned there were literally reptilian creatures that populated the world with the humans. The main character escapes from one early on in the book. Basically never mentioned again. Just world building.
Now, a main or supporting character displays a potentially powerful ability in a relatively mundane way? Yeah... That should come into play later.
Not gonna spoil it, but I was basically yelling at my TV while watching Outlander for this exact reason.
