I like the idea of Ponyboy sneaking out to Charlies Bar without his gang knowing it exists. I know in cannon they know of his bar but an au where they didn’t?

It’s after the events in the Outsiders, so hear me out on this storyline.

Ponyboy sneaks out a lot during the night and it’s sadly incredibly easy for him to do. Mainly because he snuck out a time or two to see Dallas when he was alive and Dallas was a great teacher.

Ponyboy around two in the morning honestly just leaves through the front door, he has analyzed his brother’s sleep schedules, he knows when they sleep and when they are likely to wake at night.

The one time he was nearly caught because he heard Sodapop coming down the hallway he grabbed a book and pretended to be asleep on the couch to make it look like he snuck out of bed to read. Sodapop fell for it.

Johnny:you could glue an open jar of rats to his face and then blowtorch the other end so the rats have to eat their way out!

Dallas: “I mean I guess”

"oh yeah, Johnny tries to kill himself like once a month but it's whatever"

"On occasion Dally goes crazy and runs out of the house for a couple days/weeks Or he just stays in his bed for weeks. he's just Dally."

"Sometimes Pony has these episodes where he stares at nothing for days at a time and he also gets these strange things when he gets scared where he's breathing too quickly and he's sweating and crying"

"Soda can't sit still. Ever. And he screams if sand sticks to him."

"Steve will cry if you try to make him eat some foods and he has to flap his hands around for a while and name things about cars. He also makes weird noises and movements a bunch of times." (can be interpreted as stimming or tourettes for last thing, yes i'm aware tourettes is not a mental illness but they still have no idea what it is)
