Honestly, if thereās one chapter that speaks loud and clear about how far Saiki and Teruhashi have come in regards to each other,Ā itās this one.
I mean, Teruhashi is still extremely troublesome; probably the most troublesome out of all the people in his life, in fact. But Saiki likes troublesome things despite himself, and the proud, fond smile he has on his face as he thinks Teruhashi is invincible says it all. Itās miles away from the expression he wore the first time he thought she was invincible back in Chapter 87, and it shows just how far his opinion and care for Teruhashi have come.
Chapter 242 vs Chapter 87
But of course, thatās not the first time he has shown just how much he has come to respect and care for her. One of my favorite instances is when he instinctively glares daggers at Kusuke when he dares to insult Teruhashi. And in Chapter 242, he glares coldly at all the guys Teruhashi was wasting her efforts on.
Chapter 242 vs Chapter 178Ā Ā
Saiki chides them because none of them cared enough about her to realize just how far Teruhashi was pushing herself. The ironic (and wholesome) thing here is that, there isĀ someone who cared enough to notice how tired Teruhashi was.
And that was Saiki himself.
Chapter 242
So ironically, just by that alone, Saiki proved one thing: if thereās someone in there who deserves Teruhashiās honest efforts and attention, thatās him. Because heās actually capable of reciprocating them, in his own way, without an ulterior motive. Like the time he picked the perfect outfit for her so she wouldnāt have to expose herself in the revealing clothes Nendou had chosen, or when he made sure she would get a birthday present she could like even though that wouldnāt affect him in any way.
And thatās because he has grown to care for her a great deal. Not for her looks (which he couldnāt even see at that point), but for herself. The whole package, inner thoughts and all. And that is just what someone like Teruhashi needs.
But the thing is that, since this is a gag manga, whenever Saiki shows that side of him and does nice things for her, Teruhashi is none the wiser. So I really liked that this time, for once, Teruhashi does get to find out.
And that takes me to another thing that says a whole lot about how much Saiki cares for her now. Mr. I-hate-drawing-attention-to-myselfĀ was willing to go out of his way to catch her, Mrs. Iām-the-girl-who-stands-out-the-most-in-the-entire-world, in front of the gazes of the entire school.
Chapter 242 vs Chapter 161.5Ā
If thereās something that would draw attention to himself, thatās pretty much at the top of the list. And yet he still goes and does it without a second thought, because heās grown to care for her thatĀ much.
And the most wholesome thing of all is his feelings are not the only ones that have developed this much. Teruhashiās have as well, and this chapter just needed two panels to show it perfectly.
Chapter 242
Teruhashi, who was put in the spot because sheās so competitive and so dedicated to being perfect that she outright refused to fall short of their expectations of her, finallyĀ gives that up. And she does it not for herself, but for Saiki. To go and thank him for his help.
So, by this point, Teruhashiās love for Saiki has come so far that, in the spur of the moment, sheās willing to give up on her ideal of a perfect beautiful girl just to go to Saiki. That is huge!!
And likewise, Saiki is willing to attract a whole lot of attention to himself, without a second thought, just to be there for her when push comes to shove. And that, too, is huge!
And thatās why, to me, this Chapter is pretty much a perfect summary of everything that makes this ship so great.

The title is self explanatory. But Iām using both my personal experiences and some generalized knowledge as a reference. So it might be all over the place.āāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāā
Saiki kinda doesnāt care?? I mean he understands that it can be debilitating at times, but he doesnāt feel the need to try and baby you about your condition since you either have medication for it or found your own way with dealing with the symptoms. You function relatively well so heās not going to help you with something you donāt really need help on.
That doesnāt mean he doesnāt look after you like he does with the rest of his friend group. Maybe a little bit more since youāre his s/o, but that just comes naturally.
Heās not gonna lie, he did find your thoughts annoying since they were like 5 open YouTube tabs playing a different video at the same time. But when he realized that itās just the way your brain is set up then he doesnāt fault you or get angry about it since heās aware itās something you canāt change or control.
He does a bit more research about it to understand ADHD in more detail, and with him being a psychic that knows all about you, he can make the connections with what symptoms you display and keep him in mindā since itās not the same for everyone.
Your current and past fixations are so interesting to him because he doesnāt understand how you even got there. But theyāve now peaked his interest, so please tell him all about the history of concrete and the value of different organs in the black market, you have his full undivided attention.
Kusuo loves how you know the most obscure facts in the world either ranging from random and efficient to dark and educational. His s/o is so smart! Heās still working on having you properly memorize your address or new email thoā but thatās ok youāre getting there!
He loves listening to your ramblings and info dumping because not only do your eyes light up and you genuinely happy that he asked but he loves listening to you stumble and skip over words because your mind is moving faster than your mouthā but he knows what youāre trying to say since he can read your mind.
Even in a normal setting if you stumble over words or sound like youāre having a stroke at some point, heāll just translate the sentence to others if youāre with a group of people. If youāre just with him he tells you to just keep going since it doesnāt matter to him. He knows what youāre trying to saying.
Sometimes you tend to space out a bit too hard and just completely forget about your surroundings so Kusuo likes to hold your hand in public just incase you space out too hard and arenāt vey aware of your surroundings, that way he can keep track of you while also making sure youāre safe (and also because he just likes to hold your hand) If it happens at his house then heāll wait it out and maybe watch you a little bit. Until you come back to reality, to where heāll say something like āWhereād you go, y/n?ā Or āThere you are, Iāve missed you.ā and it has such a sweet tone to it that you canāt help but get a bit warm inside. Itās one of the rare moments where Kusuo smiles If itās in public then heāll try to get your attention back to him by starting a conversation with you.
There are days when itās damn near impossible for you to focus and get any work done, which can obviously cause you to become distressed and it might even lead to you thinking less of yourself at times. But thatās ok because Kusuoās gonna be there the minute he realizes your brain just isnāt cooperating on that day and will use his powers to get the work done for you. Heāll also be there to comfort you (in his own kusuo way) so that you donāt spiral into your pessimistic thoughts.
He loves how vivid your imagination is too, itās like a little show going on in your head. Which means youāre also pretty creative and he isnāt surprised that you excel the most in either writing or art. He wants to see you be happy as express yourself so heāll support you and provide critique if you ask for it.
If you tell him about any mistreatment or bullying you went through in the past because of your ADHD, heāll actually get angry and try to hunt down the people who punished or ostracized you over something you have no control over. Especially if you start becoming visually upset the more you continue to talk about it. He understands if you want to talk about something else, after you calm down and go home for the day heās hunting them down and putting a curse on them. Past or present no one hurts his partner and gets away with it without facing the consequences.
Sometimes he likes to hand you random objects just to watch you fidget with them as you talk to him. He knows it helps you focus better having something in your hands that you can fidget or mess with. Sometimes heāll just let you play with his hands, he never realized how small they are compared to his. Itās very interesting, maybe he should let you play with his hands more often. Youāre also very warm.

Youāre a very tired gal, but saiki doesnāt seem to mind too much. āāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāā
Originally Saiki didnāt mind that you liked to sleep, until he got into a relationship with you then he realized how excessive and broken your sleeping habits are.
He uhā¦ he likes to watch you sleep sometimesā and by sometimes I mean all the time. Heāll literally be inches away from your face when he knows youāre 100% asleep and just stares at you. You just look soā¦.normalā donāt get him wrong heās your excessive need to sleep is anything but normal but for now heāll just watch you sleep.
If you fall asleep on him and you guys are in his room, again heāll just watch you while occasionally giving you kisses, cuddles and just about any form of affection Kusuo can think of without it waking you up. Itās easy to give your sleeping girlfriend affection when sheās unconscious, after all (umā¦š³š). That sounds creepy and wrong but you get his point. Itās not weird leave him alone.
If you wake up while heās in the middle of staring at you it can either go two ways, you wake up slowly and you arenāt completely aware of your surroundings yet so kusuo plays dumb and says you dreamed or imagined it if you ask him about it or you suddenly jolt awake and nearly head butt your boyfriend with the way you sat up, which leads you asking him why he was THAT close to your face in the first place. Next thing you know heās gone cuz he doesnāt want to answer. He loves you but he would rather die than admit he likes to admire you while you sleep.
There are times where you guys have conversations via telepathy and you just straight up die on him, itās like you left him on read but with telepathy. The first couple of times it happened heās teleported into your room just to make sure you didnāt actually die. You stopped answering him so suddenly so he just wants to make sure youāre ok. He most likely went to sleep next to you as well.
He actually really enjoys napping with you, especially when heās wearing his ring. When heās wearing his ring it makes him nervous tho cuz heās not sure if someoneās gonna walk in on your guys so he tends to lock the door (very sus) in order to actually go to sleep with you. Just think about it, peace and quiet, holding and cuddling your girlfriend, her not being aware of the affection youāre giving her cuz sheās not even awake- (bro?š¤Ø)
A side note but Kusuo doesnāt like it when you sleep outside of his room because of the fact that Kusuke has cameras in the house. Obviously Kusuke knows who you are and has seen Kusuo teleport you away from the living room when you accidentally go to sleep on the couch, so not only are your sleeping habits interesting to him but youāre also his little brotherās girlfriend. So needless to say youāve peaked his interest. But back on track.
Kusuoās not sure how to feel about the fact that you can go to sleep on pretty much anything. Itās justā¦the way your neck is bent when you go to sleep against the school wall doesnāt look normal or comfortable. If it werenāt for the fact that youāre still breathing he wouldāve assumed your broke your neck and died.
He takes it upon himself to wake you up to either get you in a more comfortable position (his lap) or to tell you that class it starting soon. Heāll sometimes let you use his school bag as a pillow, he even hypnotizes the class into thinking youāre awake if you canāt even lift your head up or keep your eyes open on some days. He doesnāt want you getting in trouble after all.
Obviously heās pretty protective of you, especially if Toritsuka is around. Cant have people like him trying to mess with his sleeping girlfriend. He makes sure that youāre near him during school hours so that no one tries to do anything weird if you manage to go to sleep.
Teruhashi took notice that Kusuo is always around you and when you fell asleep on him and he just let you be and even moved you down to his lap instead of his shoulder she was losing her mind. Of course Kusuo knew she was nearby which is why he moved youā I mean he wouldāve done that anyways but her spying on both of you made him move you to his lap sooner than usual. He even ran his fingers through your hair for good measure too. In her head she thinks you declared war on her for saikiās affection and faked sleep to rub it in her face, when in reality you closed your eyes for a bit and accidentally went to sleep on him.
So she tried to act like she was tired around saiki by yawning, stretching, saying sheās a little sleepy. You know that sort of thing and when it didnāt work she decided to make it āauthenticā by actually depriving herself of sleep that night and was miserable the next day. Her fan club took care of her though so itās ok.
Saiki tries to help you get a proper sleeping schedule if yours is nonexistent. Heāll try going at it naturally by giving you warm milk or tea, maybe giving you melatonin if you have insomnia and sleep disturbances. If those donāt work heāll try going to sleep with you since you tend to sleep fine when heās around, but he didnāt factor in that heās only taken maybe 3 or 4 hour naps with you instead of a full night sleep, so he learned that youāre constantly waking up during the night the hard wayā which in term wakes him up because of your squirming and shifting. So him being half asleep just used his powers to make you go back to sleep and it seemed to work for the most part. Until the next day where you STILL woke up tired. So he decided to just use his powers on you and see if that works next time.
He couldnāt help but notice that your energy levels suddenly spike up at ungodly hours of the night. So youāre usually wide awake during the night because of it, so for obvious reasons Kusuo made it his personal mission to try and coax you to go back to sleep with him during the night.
You guys tend to bicker about your sleeping habits too, itās nothing serious though. Itās mainly him saying things like āyou said you were going to take a nap not go into a fucking coma.ā When you go to sleep during the day and wake up at like 11pm, so you would mock him by repeating what he said to you because youāre petty like that. Which leads to him calling you childish brat and leads to more playful banter between the two of you. Depending on how far it goes, someoneās gonna end up with a couple of love bites and itās not gonna be him.
Because of your sleeping habits you donāt really do muchā mostly because you just donāt have the energy to, and Kusuoās pretty ok with that for the most part. But he does try to get you to do stuff with him so that youāre not spending most of the day sleeping. If heās going out to run errands youāre coming with him, if heās dragged to do something with his friends youāre coming with him and so on. You just make things more tolerable for him even if youāre constantly tired.
Absolutely love how every self-respecting latino despises with all their souls the word āLatinxā, to the point even our progressives do so too since it completely undermined their efforts for a true gender-neutral language in the form of the -e suffix, as everyone feels itās something Americans forced upon us without never asking, which is actually what happened.
Seriously, fuck Latinx, all my panas and parceros hate Latinx, do not support that denomination rooted in racism and imperialism!

Tommy would try to get you to avoid the other two, although it never worked. So he just ended up constantly trying to have your attention on him.
Ranboo had books FILLED with little facts about you. Anything from your favourite weather, the exact time you were born, to your favourite flowers, any allergies, the exact paths you take from your home.
Tubbo always found himself giving you headbaps, like headbutts but much much more gentle. (Unless you're a Ram hybrid. If you are, mans iS CHARGING for an affectionate head bonk)
But then Dream started flirting with you.
They became fiercely protective of you, and many bad things had wound up happening to Dream at once.
His house got robbed.
He kept some how kept getting tripped while nothing was there.
They just bullied him relentlessly.
But you, being the sweet person you were, always kept trying to help him up, offering to give your stuff to him, etc.
Realizing this, the three began to quickly get angry, but this lead to each of them realizing that the others felt a similar way about you.
Genuinely had to ask Puffy, Sam and Phil what their feelings towards you meant.
Phil wheezed.
Sam explained it gently, but didn't give much info. He's a busy man that's trying to build redstone machines.
Puffy SQUEALED. Like she was so happy to hear the fact that they felt this way towards you.
The captain had to carefully explain that they were just feeling jealous, and that it was normal, but did try and persuade them to win you over.
She had no idea that they were this smitten with you.
Genuinely taken aback when Ranboo told her that he wanted to lock you away to keep you from any danger, when Tommy told her that he wanted to kill anyone who interacted with you, and when Tubbo said he wanted you to only rely on him.
It was Phil who explained what Yandere was to them, and told them that it was an extremely unhealthy relationship that they were seeking after.
The trio... Didn't seem to care too much... actually...
Instead they hyper focused on how to get Dream away from you.
Like they spent a ton of time on their plan. To the point where they actually weren't leaving the security building they made.
Tommy would practically threaten the masked man every time he got near you, and while they didn't do much, he would yell them while dragging you away from him.
Tubbo kept trying to convince Sam to throw Dream into the prison, but Sam couldn't do it without any evidence. He has morals.
Ranboo decided to be genuine with you and began to tell you all about Dream's manipulation, the voice, everything. He also got Tommy's permission to tell you about Dream's true nature.
They were actually so focused on trying to get the masked man away from you, that they forgot they were supposed to be fighting over you.
By the time Dream finally did get put in prison, you were pretty much best friends with the trio, completely unaware of their manipulation tactics.
You thought Puffy was trying to make a joke when she told you their intentions, so you just politely brushed off her warnings.
Let's just say, even if you realized what was wrong, at this point you were too trapped to escape.

He would look anywhere else but at you while heās helping you and will turn into a whole stuttering mess
If you canāt decide which outfit to buy, I wouldnāt suggest asking him because he will go on a whole rant about how all of them look so good on you and how you should get both
And if you donāt have the money for both he will whip out his wallet so fast š

Like Deku, heāll carry your shopping backs but he wonāt offer, heāll just take them from you
If he sees someone eyeing you in the store he will make damn sure they know to back off, so heāll subtly put his arm around your shoulder or help you pick out more outfits and shower you in compliments while doing so while also eyeing the person
His competitive side will show even when you guys are shopping š
He might be on the tsundere side of things, but I think heād still make a great shopping partner
Out of everyone here, Shoto has very little knowledge on how to shop
But that doesnāt mean he wonāt try and help you out
You would ask him to go shopping with you and he wouldnāt be able to understand why you would need his assistance
But being the sweet boy he is, of course heās going to come with you
He would absolutely follow you like a lost puppy
Like you would go into a section and he would be in awe of all the different styles they offer
I feel like at one point heāll just find a place to sit and will just watch you look around
Heās never really shopped with his mother or Fuyumi before, so this is kind of a new experience for him
If you start picking and choosing outfits from the rack, he will politely ask to carry them for you so you could pick out more things

When you come out of the dressing room and ask him what he thinks, he will give you the most monotone response
