Vikings inspired hairstyle ✨

I did this style on 4th day hair (which is why it's a bit messy) it took me about 20 min.

How to:

- I basically started with parting the middle section on top of my head, and dutch braiding it.

- Then I parted the side of my head into two parts. You start with the top parting, so make sure the bottom parting is out of your way.

- You twist the top parting upwards and secure it with a bobby pin. The remaining hair you make a 3-strand braid.

- Repeat this on the other side!

- Put all of the braids away, by gathering them in a clip on top of your head.

- The remaining big section of hair, you part in the middle.

- Take one section and twist it up, until it reaches your neck. Secure with bobby pin. Then 3-strand braid the rest. (Another option here would be to skip the twist abd lace-braid all the way down)

- Repeat on other side!

- Unclip your braids and pin all three of them side by side on the back of your neck. They should look like three rows of braids next to eachother.

- Take the part of the braids that are not pinned and form a loop with the strands towards your neck. Secure the ends underneath the pinned braids.

- Take your side braids and take them across diagonally. Secure it with a bobby pin, onto the 3 pinned braids. Repeat on other side.

Here's hairstyle number two! It's a 1600s inspired updo with floating braids on the side.

Ever since I was a kid I had this fascination with history. And especially historical fashion, hair and architecture. I used to want to dress like a 17th century duchess or a princess in medieval times. As a kid, this was fairly easy and accepted, but in highschooI was honestly wildly afraid of what people would think of it...

Well I'm almost exiting my teenage years and I felt this urge to get into my vintage/historical self. Only to find that historical hairstyles for naturally curly hair are apparently not a thing on the internet 🙌🏽

So I decided to take things into my own hands (litterally) and experimented on myself. Bc while I would love to be a fair maiden with long, waving, easy to braid hair, I am not... And I thought maybe there are more naturally curly girls out there who want to try some historical hairstyles.

So here it is! My 1600s inspired updo ✨ The only thing I used here are bobby pins and an optional butterfly clip.

I feel like something is wrong with the face. Can't figure out if it's just proportions, or the shape or the eyes. Something's definetly weird about the lips and breasts, but idk how to fix it..
