rewatching episode 6 and the last few minutes of episode 5 it's clear to see that iris has internalised homophobia. she never says to hailey that she's wrong, only that she should hide what she's feeling, implying that she is doing the same. the only difference is that I don't think iris understands that hailey can't just settle down with a man because iris is bi whereas hailey's a lesbian. ofc this is just my interpretation of it but yk
