something so poetic about the actress change for Claudia in s2 actually. something about how she’s only defined in relation to Louis in s1, and once we start seeing her from Armand’s and Madeline’s and eventually Lestat’s perspective she’s a whole different woman. like the fact that when we see the scene where she’s turned again, see the version Lestat showed Louis during the trial, she’s quite literally a different person. we will never know what she was actually like, we only have her words and the reconstructions other people have made of her, and those reconstructions are so contradictory and incomplete that we don’t even have a clear picture of what she looks like in a visual medium. memory is a monster and it fucking ate her

Hey remember how after Lestat upturned Armand's life by destroying the Children of Darkness coven, Armand made out with him and became obsessed with him? And how after Louis slaughtered his next coven and burned the Theatre des Vampires, Armand married him for 77 years? Wow I wonder how he took Daniel destroying his marriage and getting him kicked out of his posh penthouse in Dubai?

can't stop thinking about daniel's daughters in all of this. imagine you're kind of estranged from your dad who always put his career before you, and you find out that in the middle of a global pandemic your father with parkinson's flew to dubai for a story. you're like yeah, par for the course, seems like something he'd do. but then he comes back from dubai without parkinson's, a different eye colour, and the weirdest set of acrylics you've ever seen in your life. cut to months later and he's now promoting his best selling novel in which he claims (and adamantly believes) that he flew to dubai to interview vampires, which are real and walk among us. you're now starting to think that somehow he traded his parkinson's for full blown dementia. and he's still wearing those fucking acrylics.

the idea of armand putting on the sunglasses and giggling like hehe louis is gonna find this sooo funny and he walks through the door to find his husbands have trauma bonded and unionised against him is genuinely the funniest fucking moment of the whole show
