I know a little bit! I'm not sure why but with two nasal passages one is closed while the other is open. They take turns! I can't remember why though. I suppose I could look it up, but eh ... it's almost bedtime and I AM in my pyjamas.
One benefit of being Canadian.
ALL. OF. THIS.
I've never understood the confusion behind "{insert group here} rights are Human Rights!" If You're Human ... there are rights You get ... it doesn't matter if You're part of {insert group here} ... if You're Human, You get those rights.
Seems straight forward and logical to Me. But I've been called weird all My life, so I probably think differently than the general population.
I still think I'm right.
It's fun being queer and weird and unconventional until you remember you live in a society
I worked night shift for a while, and all my eating habits got flipped 180° and never really stabilized when I went back to day shift. I can ... and will ... eat any 'food' at any time.

That is an awesome joke. I think the graphic needs some work though.
snoopy of the day
I just wanted to add this quote from the peppermint patty peanuts wiki page about Charles M. Schulz and his relationship with his gay cousin. The source here leads to a book that I did not read but the original source is Schulz's wife who confirmed this in an interview. If I can find the interview again I will link it here but uh. just in case someone tries to claim Schulz was a homophobe on this post again.
I was about 8 or so years old when I first started reading Peanuts (after having discovered it wasn't just a Christmas Movie), and it was painfully obvious that Peppermint Patty & Marcie were supposed to be representatives of the Lesbian community. This would have been about 1979. I asked My parents about it and they were very up front about it. This from people who had been raised themselves in the backwoods of Canada. I really do think that it's City people in Canada that have the most prejudices. All the Country Folk I've ever known were ... at the worst ... unconcerned.
It's not about the charity. It's about the taxes. If You donate to charity through McDs, then McDs gets to claim that and not pay taxes while not spending any of their money on charities. 7/11 does this to. Everytime they ask Me to do this, I respond with "Oh No! They're having trouble paying their taxes again!"
Thank you for existing. I’m gonna miss you.

There Was A Crooked Man #2
There was a crooked man, and he went a crooked mile. He found a crooked sixpence against a crooked stile. He bought a crooked hat, which caught a crooked mouse, And they all lived together in a little crooked house.
This is cute and all, but the poem actually goes: There was a crooked man, and he walked a crooked mile, He found a crooked sixpence against a crooked stile; He bought a crooked cat, which caught a crooked mouse, And they all lived together in a little crooked house
LOVE the atheistic of these two. Not sure about the eye shadow of the one on the left, but it DOES go with the outfit, so I can't complain. Very dedicated to keeping their shared area clean and clear. 10/10 no notes.
Heated rivalry shouldve been about 2 ugly old guys that play mahjong then maybe id consider watching it
Reminds me a bit of Vicious.
Not that either Ian McKellen or Derek Jacobi are ugly in any way, but I feel like it had the feel you were looking for.

Digital Pacing
There is a behaviour sometimes observed in captive animals known as pacing. A wild creature, confined to an enclosure too small or too barren to properly engage its instincts, will often walk the same route repeatedly... back and forth, corner to corner, loop after loop. Even when given a somewhat larger space, the pattern often remains. The animal moves between familiar points, repeating the same actions not because there is anything new to discover, but because its mind is starved for stimulation.
I have begun to notice a strangely similar pattern in myself online.
Without consciously deciding to, I will rotate through the same three or four websites over and over throughout the day. News feeds, social media, forums, video sites... places I may have checked only minutes earlier, fully aware that almost nothing could realistically have changed in that span of time. Yet I return anyway, looking for some small piece of novelty, some flicker of enrichment, some indication that something interesting has happened since my last visit.
The behaviour feels less like curiosity and more like a form of restless maintenance... an attempt to relieve understimulation through repetition. Much like an animal tracing the perimeter of an enclosure, I find myself tracing familiar digital pathways, not because they are rewarding, but because they are available.
I have started thinking of this habit as “digital pacing.”
Unlike traditional boredom, digital pacing creates the illusion of engagement. The mind feels occupied, yet rarely satisfied. One tab closes, another opens, and then another... until eventually the cycle loops back to where it began. The environment is vast, but the behaviour becomes narrow and repetitive.
And perhaps the strangest part is that, in many ways, we are both the captive animal and the keeper. Nobody is forcing us to remain in the enclosure. The doors are often open. Yet habit, convenience, and the endless promise of tiny rewards keep us circling the same worn digital paths.
The moment we recognize the behaviour, however, we gain the ability to interrupt it. To step away from the screen. To read something longer than a headline. To make something. Repair something. Walk somewhere. Sit quietly. Speak to another human being. To engage with experiences that do not arrive prepackaged through an algorithm.
A pacing animal cannot always leave its enclosure.
We often can.

AKA The White People Smile

I'm fairly certain that it was the Japanese that bombed Pearl Harbour. They weren't even allies of the Germans. They just saw that America was distracted in the Atlantic and thought it was a good time to try to take control of the Pacific.
