I ordered an obscure academic book about feedism from my school library and they got a hard copy instead of a pdf, so now I have to look the nice old librarian lady I'm kinda friends with in the eye while I get my fat sex book.....oops lmao
Few people have asked for the info on this book so here it is! There are some p decent academic articles on it as well! Search Google scholar sometime for "feederism" 😄
"Feederism: eating, weight gain, and sexual pleasure". Charles, Kathy and Palkowski, Michael. Houndmills, Basingstoke, Hampshire : Palgrave Macmillan, 2015.
Update on this since so many have asked - I highly recommend it!
This book clearly takes the words of actual feedists and fat people into account, and represents the diverse community and forms that feedism can take. It also raises the inherent problems with feedism in a very respectful way that doesn't feel demonizing or like they're saying it needs to stop because of those things. That also isn't the point of the book, which I appreciated - all of the academic texts on feedism that I have read have focused on how feedism is men preying on fat girls, which is untrue in the vast majority of cases, and this book addresses that oversimplification very well. It provides a very balanced account that doesn't feel like they went in with an opinion already formed about feedism being good or bad, they just describe the community around it. It interviews quite a few members of the community, and overall provides quite a positive view of feedism.
I found it super validating to see my opinions on and experience with the feedism community echoed in an academic text, and I thought it was really great to know that there is good, balanced information available in the academic world now about this community, not just oversimplified pieces that demonize us. It's also not written in a complicated, intimidating way. I am a fairly fast reader, but I read the whole thing in a couple hours. I really enjoyed it!
I got this book through interlibrary loan, but it's also available a variety of places online:) info is above
And if I said this was how I felt every time I saw a “It’s okay to lose weight: Feedism edition” post. When this is literally like the only space where fat people don’t have to hear about weight loss 24/7 what then?
Why don't we have a national feedism day?
I looked into it. There are these three websites you can use to register a national holiday; but they require payment, a committee approval, and they don't allow adult content. (They strike me as kind of cash grabby as well, like the star registries or plots of land in Scotland to have Lord in your name) But there are national holidays for fetishes.
Bdsm has 7/24. Feet fetishists get 5/29. 6/9 day... Obviously. 11/4 is sex toy day.
There's no diet day on 5/6. (And Junk food day on 7/21, and Fat Tuesday/Thursday in February before lent) And we have cherished feedism holidays like pre-existing holidays. But I think we should have a feedism day for ourselves, whether it's recognized by a calendar or not. And I want us to pick one together.
which season should our holiday be?
Spring
Summer
Fall
Winter
love this idea!! I see that fall is way in the lead, because fall definitely does feel like the most automatically feedist season, but for that reason I voted for summer to add something to look forward to. plus, august is fat liberation month!

It's SO important to appreciate porn outside of how horny it makes you. Appreciate the years it takes to develop the skills to make & the bravery it takes to post it & the creator's unique style & the consistency of the artist's posts & the time it takes to make. And this goes for all kink art like drawings & writing & videos & audio & roleplay & photography. It goes for professional productions & indie creators & strangers on Tumblr. And there's SO MUCH I missed in this post too. Just you HAVE to think about porn outside of the framework of how much you get off to it or else you'll never be normal about it. There I said it. Goodnight.
If I started a blog or a discord server or whatever dedicated to feedists, gainers, FAs etc in ED recovery, would anyone else be interested?
It would be a judgement free space focused on body positivity and/or neutrality (some people may have preferences for different approaches), harm reduction, eating and weight gain approaches without capacity shaming, and general discussion around EDs without fatshaming or the assumption people with disordered eating behaviours do so because they want to be skinny.
I know there's a lot of us out there where these kinks and our eating disorders intersect and I think a space dedicated to discussing this would be beneficial. So what do people think?
Haven't received much feedback but I would make this blog anyway. New pinned will come soon (WIP) but in the meantime here's some rundown:
You can call me "Noodles". 29 years old, in recovery for a restrictive eating disorder, fat admirer who's also interested in gaining and feedism but focusing first and foremost on recovery.
Blog thesis is stated above. Because this blog discusses kink it's therefore 18+
Icon is a picture of a halal snack pack (HSP), an Australian kebab shop staple that's one of my favourite foods and being able to eat and enjoy it without shame was one of the cornerstones of my recovery.
Not exactly feedism related music, but I ordered a vinyl copy of Fatboy Slims "You've Come a Long Way, Baby" and I can't wait to listen to Praise You while staring at that cover image and having it be turned even more into a body worship song for me.
I’m so honored that I was the person you wanted to send this ask to. because hell yeah.
The Bigger The Better: A Feedist’s Love Letter to Freddie Mercury
by @thaenad / @fatliberation
Growing up shrouded in fatphobia, I used to think I would take my kink to my grave. As a repressed baby queer and undiagnosed autistic, I hid my sexuality from everyone until a vintage photo of my idol, Freddie Mercury, changed everything for me. Unpacking the archival tidbits of a rock legend’s love life gave me the courage to stop hiding and start allowing myself to be seen.
My latest article is so personal, so delightful and was cathartic to write. It’s available to read on ko-fi for $1! Like always, this article will eventually be unlocked for free. I’m shaking things up and posting this one to my kink-focused page, but if you’re a monthly supporter of @fatliberation, send me a message and I’ll waive the $1 fee. Is Freddie Mercury a feedist icon? Send your thoughts my way!! 💘
Thaenad published a supporter-only post on Ko-fi!
Life is too short to have sex you don’t like. Be gross, be weird, don’t do it at all if it’s not for you. Expand your definition of sex. Remove yourself from things that don’t feel good. Find positions and kinks and toys that work for you. Don’t let anyone tell you that sex needs to happen a certain way or happen at all. Orgasms are optional. Involving your genitals is optional. Everything is optional. Do what you like to do and respect what other people do and don’t like to do. Good sex doesn’t make you feel bad about yourself. You deserve to have pleasure in ways that work for you.

Hey Idk if you have advice for this but I was hoping sending it here could get some more eyes on it! I'm fat and disabled and I'm trying to get a wheelchair but I'm really struggling to find ones that will fit and support my fat body, do you know any manufacturers that make better chairs for fat pple?
followers, do your thing!!
I’m glad that I can strive to be a good example of a feedist/fat fetishist to my close friends. I feel like if some of my friends didn’t have me, they wouldn’t be as open-minded about the subject. And it’s not really their fault, because stupid youtubers who are really popular like to make really stupid essays and documentaries about us that spread a biased, inaccurate message about us. Not to mention how taboo the word “fetish” is on its own.
hey again!! as always, me and @soft-sappho are on our website grind, and to make submitting to feedism.neocities.org even easier, we've made a (very short!) survey you can fill out for our "what is feedism?" page.
check out the survey >>>
only the first two questions have to be filled out, but there are four more if you'd like to go more in depth! (in typical feedist fashion, the bigger the better)
your submissions can be anonymous or credited with your name/tumblr @! they'll be included at the bottom of our what is feedism? page
we're really keen to get an overview of what feedism is, and how it's practised and experienced from as much of the fee
dist community as possible!
looking forward to reading your responses!!

hey so fuck the USA rn and forever so instead of celebrating the country I want yall to eat a shit ton of food and be fat and happy in the face of an authoritarian government that wants you skinny and tired and sad
Sooo guess what.
FeedeeMedia is owned by a management company. Among other things I’m sure, they’re basically looking to automate model interactions, aka you’ll be talking to AI in DMs and not real people. They’ve paid to hide their owner name, they’ve built themselves an entire platform with AI slop, this is round 2 with the same exact design they’ve used before. They’re using models photos without permission to advertise. They don’t have age verification which means there are more than likely minors on both the website and the discord. Theyre offering paid promos to white models and begging for free promos from black models. They’ve only been online for a month. Mind you myself and a few others connected the dots a few days ago.
Starting up a website that’s kink forward without any of the safety guards in place is asinine. There’s no safety in a community that’s put together with slop.
