Level 2: We shouldn't treat mental health facilities as objects of horror because it stigmatises mental illness.
Level 3: Asylums are scary because there's psychiatrists there.

it sucks cuz my fave ben & jerry ice cream has a pic of jimmy fallon on it. the tonightâs dough. itâs so good though. but i hate having him in my house. i hate seeing his little cuck face in the store. i legit turn the container around when i store it in the freezer to minimize face to face time. whenever iâm gonna buy some i tell my sister âiâm going to get the little cuck cream at the storeâ and she knows what i mean

Luke Skywalker in The Mandalorian but itâs Toxic by Britney Spears
Iâm gonna propose something: if your combat/ass-kicking sequence canât fit to a top 40 female-vocalist Banger like âToxicâ or âMama Miaâ or âI Need a Heroâ youâre not Doing It Right.
At this point its starting to feel like Editors are using 140-150bpm as a standard for action sequences, and I cant say I hate it.
I agree wholeheartedly with every point above but I watched this first with the sound off because I forgot that was an option and what struck me most is how efficient Luke's lightsaber style is. Almost every flourish he makes and all of what, 2 entire spins?, is defensive to better parry blaster fire while nearly every offensive swing he makes is basically a head or chest level kill shot. If I had to make a guess about his character I'd say this vintage twink has probably Seen Some Shit and maybe comes from a background where resources are scarce and help is far away so if you get in a fight you have to end it before it starts or you're dead meat
deeply want a time travel fic where Luke visits the old republic and the Jedi are like âthatâs not a dueling styleâ and luke is like âyea am not doing much dueling tbhâ
Luke would have learned the basics of lightsaber use from Kenobi, who would only have had time to teach him not to cut his own leg off, and from Yoda, who was likely teaching techniques he knew more from observation than personal use -- we've seen his style, it's geared toward being two feet tall and fighting much larger opponents. Not terribly applicable to someone human-sized. I think that, given the overall circumstances, Yoda would have focused on getting Luke ready to fight opponents without lightsabers. Yes, he'll also need to prepare to fight Vader at some point (though I think Yoda and Kenobi were hoping to avoid that) but there simply aren't a lot of Force users left in the galaxy to fight, compared to how many stormtroopers and droids and so forth will be trying to kill him.
Other than that he's basically had to make things up for himself based on trying not to get killed, by a pretty wide variety of opponents, mostly armed with blasters. His closest up-front experience with dueling comes from Darth Vader, who can't be doing with all those fancy flips and spins, being as how he's portrayed by a middle-aged man in a clunky plastic costume. (This works really well later on when we learn it's mostly prosthetic limbs but it originates from the simple physical limitations of the suit.)
Said middle-aged man was the great Bob Anderson, who was also the fight choreographer and sword trainer for the original trilogy. He didn't return for the prequels and the difference in style shows. I think it's a good difference! The highly formalized styles on display make perfect sense for people trained by a large, ancient, and somewhat stagnant religious order, rather than one guy putting together what he can manage on the fly. It's good to see that they resisted the temptation to get fancy here and stuck with a style that makes sense for Luke's experience and resources.
