(1) goddamn it now I want caviar on hot toast. hes said so much about the caviar and the hot toast and keeps bringing it up dang hecking it, and (2) uh oh, at least in Casino Royale, at least according to the Project Gutenberg version of the text. Fleming uses "Double O."

when he told vesper that he loved her on that beach, quit his job for her almost immediately, said he wanted to sail the world aimlessly with her. when she’s drowning and he realizes he can’t save her, he just reaches for her. just wants to hold her. when he pulls her out of the water, short of breath and exhausted and shaking, and gives her the little air left in his lungs to try and save her.

when m’s order nearly killed him and he came back, a kicked dog returning with a bird, to help her. because he knew she needed him. when he blew up his childhood home for her without hesitation, when he fought an army to get to her. when he held her while she died, tried to make her laugh, kissed her forehead once she was gone and closed her eyes.

when he thought madeline had betrayed him, had compromised him, and he just… let her go. when he found out madeline had a daughter and, even though she insisted he wasn’t the father, woke up to make the kid breakfast. when madeline continued to insist he wasn’t the father and he groveled at safin’s feet, apologized and surrendered to save the kid’s life.

This prompted me to go look up a (weirdly blurry despite claiming to be 4K) yt video to get a look at it,

and. tbh. I hadn't realized he sent his cat OUT, why did I think he put the cat into that. weirdly elevated cat cave thing sdjk

trying... to get a look at it. it actually looks like his dining area was a sort of. sunroom-esque addon? It's got a glass roof, too O: (I was like. what IS that section. but the cat cave thingy in the corner in this shot proves it's that dining table:

^ we don't really get a good look at the "outdoor" space, but it does kind of look to me like an enclosed courtyard? cuz I don't really see a roof on the area. Which is then like. sir you are kicking your poor hairless cat out into the elements unsupervised?? I know this is for plot expedience lol, but. oh noooo

.... also, I wonder if Q's flat is a real location & they just dressed it, cuz I'm looking the like mix of materials in the structure and layout and I'm like... hmm........ this is.... certainly... interesting..... he buzzed them in through frosted glass?? he also has. so much window lol? but maybe that's like. a holding area/entry way kind of area?? (edit: okay yeah took a better look- they're outside first and THEN enter the little holding area) and here I was worrying that a sunroom or conservatory would be too much glass and might be a security concern lol, don't I feel silly (joking)

Did some further nosy googling based on this info and found this website which has some interior pics of - not the exact address, but some other houses on the same street. And looks like that sort of L-shaped structure, with that glass-roofed portion on the lower floor, is a common theme on this street. Interesting! I thought it was an odd eclectic choice but I guess it's a street-wide odd eclectic choice lol. Different people seem to have done different things with the space, and. yeah I do think using it as a dining area seems to make the most sense. to me anyway, of the different layout (presumably) changes I've seen - someone moved their kitchen to the front of the house, which... is very modern, lol.

I'm especially peeping the ones with floorplan diagrams and garden shots lol (67 has some overgrown garden shots, 29 has a LOT of shots (although some are those useless flavor shots that don't really give you an idea of layout or etc) and feels like its layout might be closest to Q's? at least of the handful I clicked open. 30 has a shot from a back gate, how interesting (it seems like not all of them have a big wide gate like that).
