00q would make the worst erastes and ermenos EVER. Qs only like 18 and bonds 35 at the most so theyre both obnoxious pricks. Everyones like by the gods bond hes aphrodite incarnate and bonds like 😎. But then he tries talking to q about philosophy and politics and qs like PLEASE dont try to 'teach me' i promise i dont need any of ur wisdom. Bonds like well alright then lets have sex. Qs like im topping. Bonds like of fucking course ur not literally the whole point of this is that i teach u stuff then fuck you if we dont do that were not even boyfriends. Qs like tough luck buddy. Then q starts the long process of coaxing bond out of the version of himself he presents to the world and help him explore his identity outside of what others expect of him.
I think @halfbaked00q have discussed this before, but I remain firmly convinced that Q is the type of person who finds monkey-grooming activities deeply soothing, and that's why he loves having pets (and, per my headcanons, has always been involved in animal rehabbing/fostering).
He LOVES bathing and lotioning his nudie cats (or brushing and grooming them, if they're the Abyssinians from my fic-verse). He loves checking their teeth and trimming their claws. He loves looking in their ears for mites. He loves feeding bottle babies and training them, and teaching his cats tricks. He loves working with dogs, too.
At any time, he is up for giving an animal a good brush-down and a tick-and-flea check. It is a PEAK decompression and destressing activity for him. It just scratching that primitive itch re: relaxing while also being productive and bonding with the group (while also not having to be properly Social™, while he finds exhausting).
Once he and Bond are on certain terms, Bond absolutely comes in for a share of this attention. Show me your teeth, Bond! And your ears! Now let me see your nails! Tsk tsk. So scraggly and grimy. Sit still while I fix that.
