Sometimes I think about how we saw the Water Tribes in winter and the Fire Nation in summer and wonder how different they would look in other seasons.
Like we kind of assume the Fire Nation has a tropical climate because of ember island, but the landscape was mainly inspired by Iceland. Wouldn't that mean it gets really cold in winter? You can see Koala-Sheeps there, which would mean it can get cold enough for animals to develop wool... Does that mean the Fire Nation has huge temperature changes depending on the season? They have clothing with lots of coverage too, ideal for colder temperatures.
And same for the Water Tribes, we mainly see them during the winter. But what about the summer? They clearly have traditional lighter clothes, wouldn't that mean there is a time of the year where it gets slightly warmer? Also, in the show, despite being inspired by mainly Inuit and Yupik culture, you see that the water tribes have a lot of plant-based food (like noodles). Lands may not be cultivated, but there must be a time of the year where there's less snow to be able to gather. You can also see buildings made of wood or stone... Wouldn't that mean they have access to those?
Like I'm genuinely wondering because I'm questioning how climate works in the avatarverse.
