Methuselah's star is believed to be the oldest in the universe. Previously, scientists believed that it existed before the big bang. It is named for biblical reasons in honor of Noah's grandfather. I was raised in a very Orthodox family, so my story has Christian roots, but I don't belong to any religion myself, because on my star, angels are superior beings in themselves, just like people on Earth, and God is not a specific person, but a very high position.
Despite the fact that my Homeland is quite far from Earth, it is very clearly visible through a telescope. When we go to other planets, our memory is partially erased to make it easier for us to experience separation from home (usually it returns only when we find ourselves on a Star, but for some angels memories can gradually resurface during life), but I always looked at it and realized - here it is, home.
My wings are like the surface of a star. They can also reflect light quite well, and therefore look bright white even in the dark. Because of this, the star heats up very quickly (the temperature on it is more than 200 degrees Celsius), but all angels have fairly good thermoregulation. But we also have cold edges. For us, 50 degrees is already cold, but my earthly body has adapted to earthly temperatures and I can easily withstand lower temperatures.
Besides angels, there are other creatures and plants on the planet, some of which resemble those on Earth, but they are not intelligent enough to move through universes and have multiple lives. For example, the angelic equivalent of dogs has a completely white face without eyes, they cannot bark (but can make other sounds, including howling), can walk in the air (though not far from the ground) and have two crisscrossing halos. We call them Vélaír, and our cats are called Mífira.
We don't have halos, but some people wear light rings as jewelry. Scientists don't know if there is liquid there, but I definitely remember a huge lake near my house. I'm not sure if it's similar to water in composition, but you could swim in it and drink it. There are cities there, but there are no countries, and the language is common to everyone, only minor details differ.
The star is shining very brightly, so even in the air it was possible to draw with light. If you hold your hand in front of you, a light line will appear, which will gradually disappear within about a minute.
