Welcome to my nonhuman space! You can call me Randi. I've been awakened and in the community for about a year now (yippee!!). I'm a cladotherian (lagomorphs) but specifically identify with hares, I'm also a deitykin for abrahamic angels! I considered a black jaguar/panther as a theriotype for awhile, I'm still thinking on that one.

Ear growth is seen most in the early stages of life and are not based off of the size of the rabbit (as I initially thought) but is instead based on climate and availability of nutrition needed to grow

Personally the ears of the Antelope hare are my favorite, they're thin like stained glass and absolute satellite dishes compared to the smaller bodied creature

Knowing what I know now, if I had grown rabbit ears, they would have been exactly the opposite of the Antelope hare! I was raised in a cold climate, and we won't get into how I was raised but basically my ears would have been quite small even in youth, which means as I grew up they'd be even smaller in proportion, as well as quite thick and fuzzy to protect them from that northern chill!

Canine quads work well, the body shape is right and the footwork works well with a human body

But how do I rabbit? My leg joints don't move that way, my butt is too high, rabbits don't prance and if I try to run like rabbits do I will absolutely eat ground

Front paws are right, I can do that with human hands. Maybe I need to think of it different, pay more attention to how my feet are bending and where my legs are at

Okay!! So with a little bit of digging and a whole lot of research, I have (somewhat) come to the conclusion that my second theriotype is a black panther, jaguar specifically!

(Just me rambling about jaguars snd why i settled on that theriotype below)

When I was awakened I really didn't think I'd be the type to want gear or much physical representation of my therio/kintypes but I really really do I need to let it outtttt

If I can't be me I might actually perish

I was wrong about my original theriotype and it has a specific sex? So I realized that when I'm in lagomorph mode I always think I have a dewlap. Upon further research, this is only in females and only rabbits, meaning I'm probably not a hare. I would say I'm a lagomorph cladotherian but I don't exactly vibe with lemmings so.. that's interesting

Existed. Unfortunately for prey species, other beings need to eat. Practically all carnivorous beings large enough to hunt them will hunt and eat rabbits and hares. Some eat rabbits or hares almost exclusively (such as canada lynx, whose entire population depends on the population of snowshoe hares). The lynx and the wolves and the ermines deserve to live just as much as any hare or rabbit.

I know, and I think it's actually really beautiful how they give their energy to the things that eat them so that they can survive. It's the way it should be and I can entirely appreciate and accept that.

You must understand though, that seeing something that is you/your theriotype being harmed or eaten is a little sad. Obviously I don't filter my content because it doesn't bother me that deeply but it makes me :( you know?

It's natural for rabbits to be eaten, and it's natural for me to be sympathetic to my kin

It makes me so sad because like what did that sweet thing in the burrow do to you? :( or that one picture of the wolf with a rabbit just hanging in its mouth like, that's literally me that you're eating.

Okay I'm trying to confirm a new theriotype, I haven't narrowed anything down but I know I'm a fairly large, non domestic, carnivore

I leaned pretty heavily into the ones that awakened me first, an angel and a hare, since then I've done a lot more research and digging and self discovery,

So basically what I'm asking is, if I discovered a new therio/kintype
