Hello! I am searching for a fic I read years ago where Blaine is a cop/FBI Agent and arrests Kurt for a crime he didnât commit. Kurt had an evil twin brother that actually did the crime. I remember them having to travel by train, stay in hotel rooms, and a scene where Kurt locks himself in a bathroom to get away from Blaine. It might be a long shot, but I appreciate any help!

I think at some point Ilya visits Shane in the hospital and the kid comes in with Shaneâs parents but he calls Shane by a nickname not dad so Shane tells Ilya the kid is a little cousin and not his child. would love any help please, thank you!

Gleehearts Fic: Grab Your Things, I've Come to Take You Home

Summary: Blaine just graduated from Ohio State and he is finally pursuing his dream to do a Masters in Musical Theatre at NYADA. That, and he's finally coming out as gay. He's a bit of a late bloomer but he got there and he's ready. And what better way to start off his New York City adventure than on a week long road trip with his cousin Rachel and her musical theatre friends on their way back to NYADA for sophomore year. He just didn't expect that one of her friends would be a guy - let alone a very cute gay guy who seems to have himself figured out.
A/N: I am writing this story. It's almost done and I will start posting with Gleehearts prompts once a day. All I ask of you tumblr readers is to comment in tags - it's hard to know if anyone is reading these days and tumblr is an easier space for a quick comment. I will also post in larger chunks on AO3. Mostly Blaine POV with a little Kurt here and there.
Prompt 1 (Part 1/?): Explain Later
"Blaine, you can go ahead and bring my suitcase to the car," Rachel yells down the stairs as Blaine walks in the door of his uncles' house. Blaine looks over and sees a large bright pink suitcase which he assumes is the one for the car. It really doesn't seem like Rachel has done the type of minimalist packing required for a week long road trip in a Sedan with three other friends. Or two friends and a cousin as the case may be. He really hopes this was a good idea.
Blaine just graduated from Ohio State with an Honours degree in business and a minor in music and he is finally, finally pursuing his dreams to do a Masters in Musical Theatre at NYADA. His cousin Rachel is going into sophomore year there and she offered him a ride to New York - on a bit of a roundabout weeklong trip with her friends with a few stops along the way. It was perfect really - he was looking for a fun and easy vacation before starting all over again in New York. And when his uncles, Hiram and Leroy, heard he had no set plans, they had clapped their hands and suggested that he join Rachel and her friends from NYADA on their little East Coast road trip back. They would have a great time, they were sure, and it wouldn't hurt to have a responsible chaperone on the trip. While he appreciates his uncles' trust, he wouldn't have agreed if he thought Rachel was into anything too crazy that required any kind of real chaperone. Rachel is definitely difficult, and arguably crazy (exhibit 'A' the way too large pink suitcase), but she's a serious student and a good kid and he figures it might be fun to hang out with some musical theatre people after four years of business school. It was definitely the music major that got him through. And helped him figure himself out.
Also, he figures that Rachel, and her theatre friends, might be a low stakes social world to start to come out. As gay. He knows he's a bit of a late bloomer, especially with gay uncles, but he's from small town Westserville, Ohio, and was with his high school girlfriend until about six months ago. He actually has Quinn to thank for all this. Well, Quinn and her new boyfriend, Sam, who has become one of his closest friends.
"Blaine, we've been together for years and I love you."
"I love you too."
"I know you do. But Blaine, I don't think you love me like that."
"Wha'd you mean?" Blaine could feel his heart start to race and he kept his face as neutral as possible.
"You are hot, Blaine. Like very-" Blaine preened at the compliment.
"So are you of course-"
"No. I mean yes, but" Blaine admired that confidence in Quinn. "But you're not hot for me," She paused but Blaine didn't react unless you counted his heart pounding loudly beneath his shirt. He just hoped Quinn couldn't hear. Then she just said it. "You don't like sex."
"That's not true," Blaine said quickly, shaking his head. It isn't. "It's okay." He heard it as soon as he said it.
"Yes exactly!" Quinn had somehow caught him. "Sex isn't supposed to be okay, Blaine."
Blaine sighed and looked down, embarrassed. "What do you want me to do? I don't know what to-" Blaine paused and bit his lip to prevent any tears from starting.
"I don't want you to do anything. I want you to be honest."
"About what?" Quinn just crossed her arms.
"That you think that guy Sam you've been hanging out with in music is hotter than me."
"Sam is straight."
She just caught him again. How did she do that? Quinn nods and takes his hands. "And you're not." No he's not.
He's been letting it marinate for the last few months. He says it to himself in his head. He thinks about boys he's noticed through the years, telling himself that he just admired them. He broke up with Quinn and he told Sam why, and appreciated that Sam was cool. He realized that he thinks that Sam is hot and he knows that's fine too. That Sam isn't weirded out. That he is probably flattered. He thinks about how he might meet someone but can't quite figure it out but he figures that coming out to a social world beyond Sam and Quinn is a good start. And Rachel Berry is his cousin with gay dads. A road trip with her girlfriends from NYADA, a theatre school, couldn't be easier. Maybe she'll even take him to a gay bar in New York. She will definitely know where to go.
"Oh Tina's here! Are you ready, Blaine?" Rachel comes whirling down the stairs in what look to be new light pink sweatpants and a white tank top. She squeals and gives him a hug. "I'm so excited for our trip. Thank you for coming."
"Of course," Blaine nods as he picks up her oversized suitcase to bring to the car - a grey honda Civic with just enough room for 4 people on a road trip. Well, he didn't sign up for luxurious.
...
"Sorry I still have to pick up Kurt. He wasn't finished his morning skin routine," Tina quips before he can even introduce himself.
"Of course he wasn't," Rachel says as she climbs into the shotgun seat. "Tina, this is my cousin, Blaine."
"Hi," Blaine says from the back seat. "Thanks for driving and nice to meet you." Tina just said Kurt, right? A girl named Kurt? "Wait, Rachel, did you say Kurt? I assume a guy?" Of course there's nothing wrong with a co-ed road trip. He's a guy. But he's kind of the chaperone and he assumed he was chaperoning Rachel and her best friends, who he assumed were girls. Which he realizes was maybe sexist of him or whatever. Whatever. It's fine.
"Yeah, but he's gay so doesn't count," Tina says nonchalantly. "In case you were hoping for a bro to watch football with or whatever. That's not Kurt."
"Huh?" Blaine somehow feels offended but obviously can't say anything.
"Of course it counts," Rachel says emphatically. "Who else would help us find the best scene in Provincetown?" Right. They are stopping in State College, Providence to visit a friend, and Provincetown, before heading back to New York. That much Rachel had told him - the rest she said she'd explain later. He could have figured there was a gay guy in her group by the Provincetown stop. Obviously.
"Okay," Blaine says as expressionless as possible.
"Oh you're cool with the gay scene in Provincetown, right? You're not like a weird straight guy," Rachel states and Blaine isn't sure if he even needs to answer.
"Yeah," Blaine tries not to sound like he's scoffing. "I'm 'cool' with it," He makes air quotes. "I'm not a weird straight guy," He says under his breath, amusing only himself.
"Of course not," Rachel confirms. "You have gay uncles."
"I have gay uncles," Blaine repeats. "I'm sure that's it."
