I am once again vexed by what the bullet journal has become, when there are people who could really find value in the simplistic organization method it was originally designed to be by someone with ADHD

I really think people need to accept the fact that their aesthetically markered and extravagantly washi taped notebooks are actually art journals or even scrapbooks or junk journals, not bullet journals as a tool to help stay organized

when i started mine 3 years ago it was exactly this, i struggled to keep track of all my schedules and assignments and just generally keeping my head on straight and i was never able to find a planner than worked for me, so i started a bullet journal and it was ugly and inconsistent but it helped! over time it's become more refined as i've actually discovered system that works for me and i think that's the true goal tbh

#i'm halfway through my second journal ever #no regrets so far #it's taken me through high school and into college #i may never understand filling an entire journal in six months but #it's all to say that if you can get through the rough part of figuring out a system it's so worth it #bullet journal #bujo #planner #oraganization

Current Wip

working on vaguely western, 70s inspired vest. I drafted the pattern myself based on a sweater vest i already own. the embroidery on the front panels is symmetrical (agony) but it's coming along.

the exterior is a table cloth i thrifted that feels like a cotton polyester blend and the lining is a printed cotton that i had left over from a commission in the spring... hopefully it will be done by thanksgiving, updates to come!!
