As before, when you finally woke up the others were already up. You walked out from your bedroom, and around the stairs your eyes met with Björn’s. You wore shorts,because it was very warm out,and even inside. His eyes were constantly at your tights. “good morning” you mumbled with your still sleepy voice. “good morning to you as well” you heard him say. “You look beautiful!” that was new. But your turned around and thanked the compliment anyways. Then you met with Sigurd. He seemed sleepy as well or if he wasn’t sleepy, he was lost in the mind, wondering somewhere. “good morning” you mumbled again but Sigurd didn’t answer.

“Y/n!” Hvitserk raised his voice almost screaming your name and covering his eyes. “oh” he took his hands down from his eyes. “I thought you were naked” You both laughed it out. “ I mean I wouldn’t…” he didn’t finish his sentence.

“good morning to you too” you smiled back to him.

Hvitserk is a precious sweat heart. You always look at him like he is an innocent puppy because well… that’s how he,looks like to you ,although in this world, nobody is really innocent. But still, you keep having these thoughts around Hvitserk, to go up to him, and cup his cheeks, and then give him a nice hug. He would 100% deserve it and you think that he would appreciate it as well.

Since the vikings teleported to your backyard, your house no longer knows the meaning of silence. There is always somebody yelling or moving around now. This is must be the same feeling couples get after starting their family.

You passed next to your kitchen but you take a few steps back to rewatch what you just saw one second ago. Aslaug and Ubbe. They are at the kitchen, making breakfast. You smile at the view. A warmness spreads out in your heart. It’s nice to see them like that. Then you go see the rest of the vikings and there they at, at the living room, in front of the tv.

“What a nice boat” Floki sights and you can tell that he misses building his boats.

Then you look at the tv and you laugh out. It is so chaotic that the vikings in your living room, are all watching Pirates Of The Carabbean.

“what is so funny?” Ragnar asks

“ah nothing” you toke deep breaths.

You used to be obsessed with that movie. That’s where your crushing on Johnny Depp started because who doesn’t love Jack Sparrow? You decided to watch it with them, while you don’t have to get ready for work. You sat down next to Ivar and admired what you achieved. They were all in new clothes, they were clean and they didn’t look like, few days ago they just teleported into your backyard. As you all watched the movie you have noticed that Ivar next to you is giving nice looks to your legs as well. You felt a new kind of warmness open up in your heart but you didn’t know why did all of that just happen. 

As an add came up the living room grew lonely and silent. Lagertha went to the bathroom, Ragnar and Floki just disappeared.

“You are very revealed today.” you heard Ivar talk. “ go and put some clothes on” you understood that in their time walking in shorts weren’t a thing but you also did told them that it is absolute normal in nowadays. You didn’t answer anything. You were shocked he said something like this. He looked at you then with a smirk. “My brothers won’t be able to control themselves and well…” he signed “they get whatever they want” he scoffed.

“What does you don’t get?” you asked but after saying the question out, you regret it. Asking something like this from a cripple is foolish. You almost said “sorry” but you thought that would make the conversation even more stiff.

“Ability to walk” he shrugged then looked at you again. “I could do so much more things if I could just walk! they would notice me and actually accept me as a Ragnarson.” by his words you almost felt the sword that has been in his heart since he came to the world. You could never imagine what did he went through “If I could walk, It wouldn’t be a question, I would be the best son!” he is looking forward, imagining his life like that. “I would go and sail away, discover just for fun like the other vikings! I would have all the woman because for sure they would be all over me” you laugh and he scoffs then he turns to you slowly. “maybe then I would be treated like a human being”.

“The people who have hurted you must be out of their minds. You are a smart,great and kind person.” you answer, trying to pour life in him. That little smirk haven’t leave from his face.

“to you.”

“to everyone.” he was surprised you would ‘protect’ him like that. “They are must be just jealous.” You turned your face to the tv again because you couldn’t look into his eyes anymore. They were too beautiful. You almost felt like as a simple human, you are not worthy to look into those blue eyes.

“Like Ubbe, now because I’m chatting with you” You turned around to look at Ubbe and he was staring at the two of you from the kitchen. As you met his eyes, he just looked down pretending that he didn’t just stare down you and Ivar.

“Do you think he’s jealous?” your specialty were from now on is asking stupid questions.

“ He is all over you. Don’t tell me you haven’t noticed. I thought you were smarter.” He kept looking at you

“I have noticed that he has an interest in me”

“Do you ? have?” he asked it quickly. Like it was the most important thing in the world. His eyes were wondering all over you.

“No. I don’t. He’s sweet and it’s nice to talk to him but, just like it’s nice talking to everybody else.” now you shrugged.

“What about Bjorn? Or Hvitserk? Or Sigurd? Oh Sigurd is your type isn’t he?” he joked around and you punched a little into his shoulder which made him laugh.

“No. I don’t have interest in them.” Relief stretched out in your body when he didn’t ask if you have interest in him.

He keeps making you feel things. You keep caring about him and getting lost in his eyes. He has such a precious smile and laugh you wish he would be happy all the time. The good thing is, he seems to be, next to you. And well you haven’t forgot the time when he started dressing up in front of you. He took his shirt off so many times giving your eyes the hint of heaven;or should you say Valhalla?

Time flew by, and you had to get ready to work again. and by seconds you were already gone leaving them alone in your house again. This time you didn’t worry as much as yesterday about them being alone… in your house…

After talking with Ivar about how he wishes that he would just born as his brother’s and would not suffer with his disability, you got to thinking and then remembered an old friend of yours could help with the situation.

You had a great surprise present plan. Now, you only had to make it come true.

You were home and you felt relief that nothing broke in the house and everyone was alright. You had a surprise for everybody which was changing they’re old clothes into new,modern ones. They we’re not exactly happy about it but not sad or angry either. So you told them how they will be needed to behave and then all of you went for a close thrift store. Ubbe was carrying Ivar on his back. They both hated that Ivar has to move around in public like that. It got you thinking: what could you do for Ivar to help and where could you get a wheelchair from?

Everybody entered the store and everybody was looking for clothes. Aslaug was admiring the modern dresses and Lagertha was at the mans section. Aslaug and Lagertha, the two only women besides you, were like two different person. And sure, no one is the same, but them, they were the exact opposite of each other. You heard Floki laugh which made you smile. That old man still laughs like a child. Bjorn and Sigurd were arguing about something but Ragnar managed to make them quite. Ragnar looked at you and you whispered a “thank you”. He nodded with a peaceful smile. I told them that they shouldn’t make a show, and Ragnar seemed to understand. Ubbe and Hvitserk were laughing and they already were trying on the new styled clothes. It was weird to see them like that. In jeans and shirts that had dumb,silly things written on. I looked at Ivar and he was still sitting alone in a little chair. He was deep in his thoughts. You didn’t want to bother him but he also needs new clothes. You went there and waited for him to look up to you. He immediately did.

‘Yes?’He asked annoyed. He was very closed with his feelings. ‘Want help?’ you asked back and he rolled his eyes. ‘I don’t need stupid clothes’ he chuckled and looked away. ‘leave me alone’ he then said, quietly.

You didn’t care what he said. You turned around and picked a shirt out and then showed it to him.

‘Y/N, I meant what I said’ and then he smiled. It was a light smile, kind of a “c’mon stop!” smile, but it was warm and you felt like you wouldn’t see him smile a lot.

‘I think this would look great on you.’ And you gave it to him. You turned around again and you just started picking clothes out for him. With every clothing you gave him he said ‘Y/n stop!’ or ‘Okay, enough’ or ‘Really?’ and then ‘I hate you’

And then you got thinking.

‘How will you… try them on?’ you asked quite so no one could hear it.

‘I need help with the bottoms but I can change my shirts just like…’ He just got his shirt of off himself. You paused a little making sure your eyes saw that view. ‘this’ he finished his sentence while putting on the new shirt. He looked just great. Weird, but great. As everybody else.

Ivar continued to switch tops in front of you and he always looked at you after, as he wanted to know what you think of it. You mostly liked dark colors on him because then his blue eyes would just sparkle next to black or grey things. You haven’t noticed his hairstyle before. He had nice braids. Like so beautiful braids that you could never do or see again. You wondered who did it for him. Must have been Aslaug. Or a slave from his time?

You have overheard some things that the brothers were talking about in these days. So you had some knowledge and you had to get to know that they liked to be called vikings because… that’s what they were and what they are.

After the long day of shopping that really hurt your credit card, you all went home and you cooked dinner while they were changing/showering. Bjorn didn’t do those yet. He was chatting next to you and he was watching you cook. He told you that in their time things were really different and that cooking really seems crazy for him because he doesn’t know anything about it. You told him ‘Someday I can teach you some things if you are interested’ He smiled and nodded. ‘Well I mean… A viking doesn’t do these things’ and then he just went away. It was nice talking to him though. You felt like he doesn’t like you, because the two of you never talked that much but he was actually really nice.

‘Smells great in here’ Aslaug came. ‘Can I help you with something? I would be happy to help’ She had the sweetest smile ever. You couldn’t say no to her.

So you continued cooking with Aslaug and then the two of you set the table and everybody was around the table, fresh in new clean clothes. You felt happy and a new kind of relief. This time, while sitting with them at the table, something really lifted up from your chest that you haven’t even noticed were there. But the air in your lungs were clear again, and even the colors grew warmer.

You have told them and showed them how to eat with cutlery now days. Because the way they were eating was messy and loud. After the dinner, there was nothing left to do. So everyone went to sleep.

‘Thank you for the food and the clothes’ You heard Ubbe whispere in the dark before falling asleep.

‘All of you are welcome!’ you whispered back, he chuckled and then he fell asleep as well and then, lastly you did too.

So sorry for keeping you waiting! Everything kinda got on top of each other for me and I couldn’t find time to write. While I was away I got so much love and support so I just want to say a quick thank you for all of you! I almost cried when I saw so many of you like this story and many of you likes the way I write. It really means a lot for me! But! Enough about me, I let you read. ❤️

Y/n was out. She left us alone in her house. She tried so hard to explain us these new things like technology, and we were so scared to say we still don’t understand, we just told her ‘yeah everything is clear’. Floki understood some of the stuff. He could control the television, and well he didn’t move from it since Y/n left. This world was magical. I saw so many things that were out, ready for me to explore but Y/n’s one and only rule was to not leave the house. She was scared of us. I could tell. The first time I layed my eyes on her I saw something in her. That something was brighter than anything. Her eyes, her shiny hair and her lips. Even her nose was something else. I fell for her that’s for sure. I tried to show it to her, so she would notice and maybe show if she relates to my feelings. But she was just all natrual. All innocent, clean and angelic. I am not sure about angels, I only know as much as I heard from a Christians that they are sended by their heaven, they are beautiful, innocent and with a huge loving,helping heart. She was all of that, so I must can say, she is an angel. It was hard being busy in such a small house. I and the others were used to going out, admiring things, go sail away, prectice fighting or to bath in a lake. And now, here are we. Floki and father are still in front of the televison trying to figure it all out, Lagertha was searcing for a weapon that she could use and prectice with. Bjorn was reading something,Hvitserk were bored at the couch with me and Sigurd and well Ivar was somewhere beacuse he needs his alone time. 

‘Ubbe!’ Mother called from the kitchen. She seemed to love the kitchen and she prospered with it very well. ‘yes?’ I asked back. ‘Where is Ivar?’ she asked. Of course she was asking about her little Ivar. The only son of her that she loves.

‘I don’t know?’ I shrug. 

‘We should’t bother him. He is having his little alone time.’ Hvitserk laughed out. ‘Stop with the mocking.’ Mother merged her brows. 

‘Mother.’ Ivar appeared. ‘I am fine’ He smiled and from the corner of my eyes I saw Bjorn roll his eyes and so did Ivar see it ‘Oh, I didn’t know you can read’ Hvitserk and I laughed at Ivar’s comment. 

‘He can mock us but we can’t mock him, huh?’ Sigurd sighed. Ivar srughed and smiled back to mother. ‘Y/n said she has board games.’ Hvitserk stood up changing the subject . ‘Remember when we made board games?’ he asked with a wide smile. ‘It always went wrong’ Sigurd commented. ‘Only beacuse you can’t accept it, when you lose’ Ivar said. 

‘No Ivar, I think your talking about yourself there.’ Sigurd said back and I could hear their aggresive thoughts about each other. I always hated how their realashionship was as bad as a cat and dogs. They just can’t accept each other at any way. ‘Did you forget that I never lose?’ Ivar said with his death stare. 

‘What do you guys think of Y/n?’ Lagertha entered our conversasion. ‘ Does anybody think that she could harm us?’  She asks not caring at all that she just stood between an argument.

‘I would’t think of her that way. She looks soft.’ Bjorn said. ‘I think we can trust her’ he goes back to his book. 

‘We don’t have to be scared of her.’ Hvitserk raised a little his voice ‘She already is scared of us.’ So I was not the only one that noticed. ‘But we don’t know what she is accepable of.’ Sigurd tilted his head and looked at me. 

‘Are you scared of her?’ Aslung asked, looking at Sigurd. 

‘I am not scared of anyone!’ he denyied. ‘Not even me?’ Ivar was still staring at Sigurd. He started looking scary again. ‘Ivar’ I said and he looked at me,then smiled.

Sigurd ignored Ivar’s comment beacuse well at some point all of us is scared of him. There are just times where Ivar goes mad and no one and nothing can chill him down. In these times he goes away from people and he thinks. He does that a lot recently.

‘So what about board games?’ Hvitserk asked again setting peace. 

So after minutes of searching, we found the a game Y/n told us about. It wasn’t a board game, It was more like a card game and it had many rules. Uno was the game’s name. We sat around the kitchen table, and father handed 7 card to every player and we began to play. First round, second, and third. Ivar won and everybody got suspicious at him. 

‘You’re cheating.’ Floki said. ‘How do you win everytime so early?’ 

‘Big secret Floki, you have to use your mind.’ Ivar joked around. 

‘I’m not playing.’ Sigurd got up. ‘This game is a piece of shit.’ 

‘So who is the one who can’t take it when he loses?’ Ivar whispered 

‘Well this is surely getting boring’ Father said and I was with him. 

‘Then cancel playing. I want to win’ Lagertha smiled. After months she finally smiles. I don’t think she even noticed that she has a good time with us. 

‘you will not get the chance with Ivar’ I laughed with Floki. 

‘Hey guys!’ Y/n stepped in. She is back. She is here. She is shining. She is beautiful. 

I lay back in my chair and I watch her shine in front of my eyes but then I see something that was not in front of my attencion until now. Sigurd is smiling at Y/n in a way he only does when he is admiring someone. Hvitserk’s eyes are gleaming and Bjorn is trying to get her attencion with ignoring her. He always does this beacuse he strongly belives that with ignoring someone, with time, that someone will find themselves falling for him, and they will run after him. So basiclly the whole point of it is getting the other one running after himself. Ivar doesn’t seem to care and his face seems true. At least he is not into Y/n. Now the question is, does y/n like any of us?

As she watches over the house she goes through a relief because we didn’t ruin her house. ‘Thank god’ she whispered and it seemed like only I heard it and I laughed at it. She looks into my eyes and smiles.

She just smiled at me.

A quick thank you for all of you that reblogged the first chapter, liked it, commented and followed. I was really trying to get the best of me, so the chapter could be enjoyable, and seeing people actually like it felt good. So thank you so much and I know people already told me to not worry about my grammar mistakes but I know I will mess up something so… sorry about that😗

You never woke this early. The sun was barely up and It was cold. If you would be alone at home, you probably would just stay in bed but as you turned around Hvitserk and Ubbe wasn’t at your floor anymore and you heard strange voices from down stairs. Then yellings, and arguments. You got up as fast as you could, throw some more warmer clothes on yourself, then you got down stairs. They were at your backyard around fire. They set fire at your backyard while you were asleep!

‘What the hell are you guys doing?’ you asked stepping outside.

‘Finally awake!’ Floki got happy ‘It was getting cold’ he looked at the fire

‘especially in your room’ Ubbe said with a proud smirk on his face ‘we wanted to cook as well but there isn’t any animals that we can hunt’ you almost screamed. they wanted to hunt.

‘There is meat at the fridge’ you said

‘you mean that thing?’ Floki pointed at the fridge and you nodded ‘Oh’ they all said except Ivar

‘I told you.’ He said to Floki

‘You bloody genius sometimes you should just stay quiet with your cripple ass’ Floki said it back and you couldn’t tell if they just started an argument or they are just messing around with each other.

‘You never told us your name.’ Bjorn said.

‘Y/n’ you smiled

‘beautiful name’ Ubbe smiled back.

‘What kind of position are you in?’ Ragnar asked. ‘I see you have kind of everything that you need. Are you a queen? a princess?’ Your dad used to call you princess when you were little but no, you were just a normal, typical human.

‘I am none of those things.’ you shook your head.

‘This world is so much different then ours is’ Lagertha said.

‘Must be.’ you looked down to your clock just to make sure how much time do you have before work and you had 5 hours. Felt good to have time but also you got thinking and worried of what could they do to your house while you are gone. Like they just put fire outside because they were cold. ‘ I will have to go to work and you guys are going to be alone while I am away’ you said with a little shaky voice.

‘We don’t need somebody to watch over us. We are grown man and women.’ Ragnar said but that didn’t made you panic less.

How could you explain everything to them? They didn’t know what is a fridge, THEY PUT OUT FIRE AND WANTED TO HUNT! Maybe they don’t destroy your house while you are gone but for some reason you got scared of the other people around you just like your neighbors or the old lady who likes to walk her dog at the morning. What if they leave and hurt somebody? What world or time did they come from? You looked at them and started thinking. They were at their same clothes and their face was muddy. They look just like warriors that your father used to tell stories about.

‘I have rules’ You just came up whit it, but sure. ‘Don’t leave the house’

‘what you gonna keep us here like we are in cages?’ Ubbe laughed.

‘Ubbe!’ His mother made him quite.

‘We won’t’ Bjorn said.

‘ and what should we do while you are gone?’ Ivar asked and you didn’t know. You didn’t know what could be possibly interesting for them.

‘Well. I’m not sure but… I have a few books’ you just felt embarrassed ‘I have board games’ you felt more embarrassed ‘I have a radio and…’ you didn’t have anything.

‘Do you have a hammer?’ Floki asked.

‘uh yeah. I do.’ You got surprised by the question. ‘Whyy do you need that?’

‘I’m gonna make a boat!’ he said and everybody signed. ‘my boat, that will sail us away! We can go back home, to Kattegat! I can’t wait to smell the wind again.’ He was so into the idea, I could see him reliving a memory in his head.

‘A boat could not fit in here’ Sigurd said.

‘Trust me I make it work’ he said and you panicked.

And then time passed and you found yourself explaining 9 adults every little thing in the world that was normal to you, but absolute new to them. They got to know electricity which was very hard for them to understand but at the end they did. You explained that there are stores now, where we buy food but we don’t hunt anymore and If someone wants to, they have to have a license to it. And then you showed them an old phone and wrote down your phone number so they can call you when they need you. And the funniest part was showing them a tv. They all got scared and started asking questions that you think only dogs and cats would think of such as like “How did they get in there?” or if someone walked away from the camera “why is the person gone? why did he got gone?”

It was pretty funny.

‘Do you guys know what size clothes do you wear?’ you asked because you felt bad that they wore the same clothes all day. But they didn’t know.

You thought maybe after work or in one of your day off’s you could take them to a thrift store to buy themselves clothes. And the constant thoughts about getting them home didn’t leave your head for a minute as well, but it was hard to think of something because they came with magic, with miracle. There was no reason. There was nothing just a thunder and then, them. You got yourself into something pretty serious, crazy and weird. You don’t even know why do you still try to help them. You could just send them away and live without all of this but you can’t. You can’t just send them away. You can’t do it.

The weather was dark and cloudy all day It made most of the people sad and grumpy. Today was your day off so you thought that laying in bad, binging a new show and putting on masks will be the best thing that you can do. As you did these things the weather just went more crazier. It started to rain really quickly and some loud lightning’s arrived as well. A big storm came. You never was scared of flash but this time, they were much louder and it made you jump a few times. You took off your mask and the weirdness didn’t go away It just grew thicker. Now everything smelled like salty sea. You went down to your living room and stared outside to your backyard. The rain just kept coming down and another thunder that ended up in your backyard made you jump. It was so close. You never saw a thunder this close. It almost made you go blind. And then you started seeing things.People to be exact at your backyard. You thought you are hallucinating because you didn’t get enough sleep this week but it all looked real. You counted the people at your yard. 9.

They all looked confused and extremely old. Not in age, but in they appearance. Maybe at this point you thought maybe you fell asleep watching Lucifer and now you are dreaming . You really got curious and you really believed that you were dreaming so without thinking you step outside. The nine people, two women and 7 men all stared at you. One of the man with blonde hair and a beard started to walk closer to you.

“You must tell us where the gods took us!” He yelled and you got scared a bit. They all were so much scarier closer. You had just a gut feeling that they all did something wrong in their life and as wrong you meant crime.

“the gods?” you ask back. “Who are you?” you are confused.

“I am Bjorn Ironside!” He kept yelling. “And this is my father. You must know him. He is Ragnar Lothbrok!” His father smiled with his calm face at you but you didn’t know him. Why would you know that old man anyway?

“I don’t know him. I’m sorry” everyone got surprised.

“How is that possible? Everyone knows him!” Another old man asked from Bjorn

“You are must be lying. You must know my mother Lagertha! the brave shield-maiden.” I wish he would stop yelling my neighbors are must be so annoyed.

“I’m sorry but no, and I am not lying.” the rain started to cool down.

“Where are we?” a younger one asked who looked simillar to Bjorn. He had a weird eye as well. It almost looked like a snakes eye.

“At my backyard? In (your city’s name).” they looked confused.

“Why did the gods send us here?” One of them got thinking.

“Let me introduce myself” a woman stepped to me with such a beautiful shaped eyes. “ I am Aslaug. Ragnar Lothbrok is my children father, Sigurd, Ubbe, Hvitserk and Ivar” She introduced them and I took good looks of them. Each of the brothers were different. “Floki is a great friend of the family, and Lagertha is Ragnar’s… first wife. And Bjorn is their child.” Thanks to her now I at least knew their names.

“We do not know, where we are so perhaps you could help us?” she asks and puts her arm to my shoulder. By her touch you knew you wasn’t dreaming and a panic grew in your stomach.

They were at your backyard by a lightning. They look weird and talk weird. And you are not dreaming. What is happening? How did they come here? By teleporting? That’s insane. It cannot be true. They said the gods took them but that is impossible. And yet the panic and yet the fear you invite them inside. They all look so surprise. At the window door, and the wall sized windows, the lights, the walls, your decors. Everything is so weird to them. You guys all have at least something in common. Weirdness and being afraid. You knew Alex from a long time ago. You and him always got along but the two of you never really hang out.
