"And I'm trying my best to stand up for you in every way I can." 🏳️⚧️🏳️⚧️🏳️⚧️
If you are trans: do not apply for asylum in Canada YET.
The appropriate changes are in the works, but not official yet. You will most likely be denied.
If you are denied for asylum once, you can not reapply. EVER.
Things could change quickly, so you need to keep that option open. Now is the time to prepare, not act. Unless you are in immediately, and direct danger right now (not pending a court case, not that the social climate for our community is bad, immediate danger to you as an individual), you need to wait until something changes, sadly.
hang in there. here’s some good news.
Here’s some more.
Y’all know I won’t lie about the state of things. People ARE doing the good work out there. Join if you can. Keep hope.
some more good news for you
The National Parks Service have purged trans people from the website on the Stonewall National Monument
Trans people threw the first bricks at Stonewall, this is explicitly genocidal and revisionist, they are removing trans people from our history, they don't want us to exist
The fact they can't even acknowledge us in platitudes is fucking terrifying, they can't even say T in LGBT on the website for Stonewall Inn. Stonewall was the start of our liberation and we can't and could never have liberation without trans people and specifically trans women like Marsha P Johnson and Sylvia Rivera
During the raid on the Stonewall Inn in 1969, the police forced all women in the bar to undergo genital inspections in the restroom so they could arrest trans women and drag queens. That was what started the riots, people refused to comply with the police attempting to target trans women. It is explicitly revisionist to separate trans people from the stonewall uprising
New York Attorney General Letitia James is telling hospitals that they would be violating state law if they stop offering gender-affirming c
NEW YORK (AP) — New York Attorney General Letitia James on Monday told hospitals that they would be violating state law if they stop offering gender-affirming care for people under age 19 in response to an executive order from President Donald Trump aimed at curtailing federal funding for such treatments.
In a letter, James, a Democrat, told health care facilities that refusing to provide the treatments would violate New York’s anti-discrimination laws.
“Regardless of the availability of federal funding, we write to further remind you of your obligations to comply with New York State laws,” her letter reads.
Everyone say thank you to NY Attorney General Letitia James!!!

transgender women who have an irrational hatred of men you GOTTA get over that. Come on now
Honestly my biggest argument is that more than anything it'll make your transgender sisters feel unsafe. If you insist that masculinity is Genuinely Evil in some way, how is your transgender friend going to feel when she has prominent stubble that day? When her voice drops lower than she wants? When she has to hide her transness for safety?
It was said in the tags cuz I felt like it was assumed already but I'll also put this here: it's gonna make your cis and trans man friends EXTREMELY fucking uncomfortable if you're like this. You don't wanna miss out on trans and cis dude friends!!!!! They've got your back you gotta have theirs!!!
Asked my mom for a binder for Christmas
No, mom, that’s not….
Oh I see what you did there
alright, this is just too sweet not to reblog
A+ Pun-Acceptable Parenting

I guess Twitter really needed a middle-aged trans man on the timeline today. Happy to oblige.
This is extremely funny to me. Yes, I am Twitter OP and I see all y'all thirst tagging and assigning me Professor at Birth. 😅

I fucking love seeing middle-aged trans ppl and ppl who didn't start transition until they were older than 30.
We fucking rock.
heres to the other dandelions out there
version w text (and alt text)
[ID from the alt text: A lightly textured cool grey background with a bright yellow dandelion plant in the center. thank your local trans girl for being alive right now
good job soldier. now turn around and thank your local trans boy for being alive right now
lowkey im fucked up over how many tags on this are just "ive never seen someone do this for trans men before and im gonna cry over it" look what they're doing to our boys smh
hello again (bill clinton limewire voice) my fellow americans
There are a few states that actually have Shield/Refuge laws designed to help trans people fleeing from trans-unsafe states, which also guarantee trans folks access to healthcare. These states are:
California
Colorado
Illinois
Oregon
Vermont
Washington
Minnesota
New Mexico
Maine
Massachusetts
Rhode Island
Connecticut
Washington D.C.
Additionally, some states have "trans sanctuary" executive orders signifying safety for trans folks seeking healthcare. These states are:
Maryland
New Jersey
New York
Living as a resident in these states means you are protected by state's rights and state government to continue or begin receiving trans healthcare. These laws have been codified in their states so everything has been a-ok'd by their state governments.
Stay alive. You got this. I love you.
