Johnny Cade: I mean considering his little heart to heart to Pony in the lot I assume he feels similar sometimes, I feel like Johnny's good at the 'sit around in your presence in silent' comfort when things like that happen or when you're feeling a little shittier than usual or even heaps shittier than usual

Ponyboy Curtis: He's relatively good at pointing out who's having what feeling, he's just not good at figuring out and putting together a response to help with said feeling. He outright asks you what he can do to help and follows through with whatever you ask of him when you tell him how you cope

Sodapop Curtis: He loves so loud I fear, if you're sad or overwhelmed because you feel like shit he's declaring he's sad so you aren't embarrassed but people calm down and the space is quiet. He's the type that'll happily pull you out of bed if you need him to, he'll help with whatever. Your wish is his command

Steve Randle: He's not the ideal therapist or comfort-er but he definitely tries his best despite not being the best at doing so, it always kinda wakes you up a little and makes you giggle just that bit watching him attempt comfort despite not being great at his attempts no matter what he tries. It's sweet just knowing he's there

Darrel Curtis: He likes to joke with you he does his very own aerials whenever he almost falls over and off ladders at work because of poses striked when he keeps himself balanced, you always giggle with him about it but actually he finds everything you do quite impressive despite the jokes he'll make on the odd occasion

Dallas Winston: Dallas enjoys watching you, it's a real different hobby compared to what he's heard before. He doesn't ever admit he enjoys watching you, he doesn't wanna look like an absolute dork when he talks to you and start fawning over it but if he's drunk enough to babble at parties he'll tell you how impressive he finds it all

Johnny Cade: He's nervous just watching you do all that, when you have little laughs and tease him by telling him that you'd be okay dying if it was in a cool way. He'd always shove your arm and tell you to 'shuddap' which you could only assume he'd copied off of Dallas Winston from his attitude

Ponyboy Curtis: He finds it very fun. Even if everytime you make a little comment about the cautions of everything you do you make all your stupid jokes, I mean Ponyboy kinda loved it either way. Even if sometimes it'd concern him, he always made it all a subject in his writing. That girl with the unique sport/hobby and a beautiful sense of fearlessness

Sodapop Curtis: He likes to tell people you fly, that's what you get up to in your spare time you go flying around and don't let people tell you that you aren't allowed to do so. Like some sort of free spirit or fairy that he just so happens to be dating which always amuses people plenty and to be so fair, it was a funny way to describe your hobby

Steve Randle: He'll always look over at you and side eye you concerned when you bring it up but if you verbally ask you'll get a verbal answer of "Be free, do what you wanna" and a shrug to go with it because I mean come on, he doesn't reaaaaaaally like to be controlling nor does he gaf that hard about the fact

Showing up in Australia again after that year in Switzerland and much to Amerie's unknown disdain thanks to being with Noah claiming she'd moved on, with a girlfriend on his arm. You, you'd always wanted to travel and hey. Malakai decided to grant that wish and have you travel with him, you paid your own way but Malakai had offered way too many times to do that himself. It was sweet

First stop after meeting Missy and such was the carnival, basically everyone in their class was going to that, Malakai was acting a liiiiiittle jittery. It was fair enough though, he was super nervous about the whole ordeal and showing up out of nowhere but he was excited to. He missed everyone and you knew it, you smiled as you entered the fairgrounds with him

"Feels more like an American coming of age, 'let's go off to the carnival and go win everything and blah blah'" You laugh a little as you lean your cheek on Malakai's arm "Yeah, romantic huh?"

He grins a little as you two continue walking into the place, finally spotting people. Darren and Quinni, you could assume that meant everyone else was nearby. Darren was the first to perk and spot you two

"Malakai? And friiiiiiiend" His slightly cheeky smirk immediately grows when he sees you, Quinni perks and turns to you two looking incredibly alert at the new presence. Seeing you she quirks an eyebrow up, Malakai just nods a little

"My girlfriend, we met in Switzerland. She was the only one who I met who spoke understandable English" He says awkwardly, well that sounded offensive but he wouldn't pause the conversation flow over that

You introduce yourself, say your name and such and Quinni nods. You get the introduction to Darren and Quinni, you see someone poke their head out from around the corner before immediately retreating. That looked like something out of a childrens cartoon "Who was that?" And with the second little peek from the corner she knew she'd been caught. That was of course, Amerie

She knew she'd been caught and you could tell from her giving a groan and running her hands right down her face before walking out with her own boyfriend, Noah. He walks along with her and she gives a strained smile and awkward wave to the pair of you, Darren turns to her "This is Malakai's girlfriend"

If she told you honestly, she thought she was over Malakai. Seeing him again just ruined that thought for her because, I mean come on just look at the guy! But Amerie wasn't a homewrecker, unless it was her home she wrecked. So she just kept her cool, she could tell Malakai was over her for all the shit she'd already pulled on him

They weren't right together "hi Amerie" He returns the awkward nod and the smile before he perks "Cmon, I'll win you something" he tugs your arm, you could tell it'd gotten awkward. You didn't know Amerie, Noah didn't know Malakai. You hummed a little and waved a little goodbye to the group who immediately turns to chat about your sudden appearance and who you are

"She's cute Am, maybe you could be friends" Darren says with a little hum crossing his arms over his chest before Quinni adds "Because you're over Malakai" and Darren nods "Because you're over Malakai" He repeats in agreement with her and Amerie nods, Noah looks back at her with a little side glance

"What happened!" You squealed out and Curly scoffs with a "Nothin' nothin' at all" He grumbles to you as you hold his arm with a frown and slight fear "Well obviously something happened" You say, looking up at Curly with nothing but concern on your face with makes him wince a little, maybe even more than he did feeling the burn of his scrapes and bruises

The bruises on his face were already blooming into beautiful purple splotches, kind of flower shaped. He stayed pretty, even with all the bruises he had from his physical run in with- god who knows? You didn't, that's what you were trying to figure out "You'll freak out" He shakes his head, running a hand through his short and tight curls

"I'll freak out worse if I have to find out who did this through Angela" You state crossing your arms over your chest "I'm sure you'll find out who did it" He rolls his eyes at you and you raise an eyebrow, Curly hums "Your very own blood is the culprit" and you raise your eyebrows "who? Ponyboy?" And he grins back "right on the money" and your eyes widen in slight shock

"Really?" You shake your head and Curly hums "I hinted, I gave him the slightest hit that I find you pretty when we were having a smoke and he went ballistic on me" Curly says simply as he puts a cigarette into his mouth and lights it very simply.

You almost physically face palm frowning "oh gosh" you shake your head. "Damn right 'oh gosh'" he rolls his eyes back at the reaction as well as in response to just thinking about the fact he managed to get beat up by Ponyboy of all people on one of their little smoke hangouts

"I can only imagine the reaction I'd get if I brought you home after that- what'd ya even say to get him riled up Curls? I know it's not that simple" You say with a knowing glance back and Curly exhales smoke "He said 'you never like girls anyway, ya wouldn't get it' and I said 'I'd get it alright, I find your sister real hot' and he went all crazy on me"

"Well there's my answer" You said with a little huff and shook your head at him and he shook his head back, whether he was imitating you or mocking you or just doing the same sort of gesture you'd never know. You shoved his arm and Curly huffed back "I shouldn't be sorry for lovin' ya" He says with a little grunt to himself

"Aw" You smiled a little "You looooove me" You say in a little sing song manner right back to him, he just scoffs "I sure do" he says and leans over to kiss your temple before 'eugh'ing at himself "Wow, I've gotten to be a real sap haven't I?" He looks back down at you with a little snicker

M&M had always been somewhat 'quirky' he was considered this weird little kid people would make fun of while still thinking he was in this odd way, kinda sweet. You had been close friends with M&M for a while now, since you two met around age nine and you only met because of his plethora of siblings first

The youngest Carlson at the time was two and well you know what they say, terrible two's or something similar to that. You didn't know why you were thinking of your first meeting when you two sat together in a random alleyway in town, but you hummed a little with a hint of a smile looking over at M&M as you pinched a candy from him

"Remember when we were nine and we met because your two year old brother managed to trip me over?" You hum and M&M looked down at you from where you lounged in that alleyway "I still don't get how you were tripped by him"

"He walked directly in front of me" You squinted before giving an amused look "Before you chased right after him, you were on his tail so quick I didn't realize anyone could be that fast" And that's when M&M smiles a little bit, amused by the thought before shrugging "And I started apologizing like a dork"

"Dorky! You? Never" You smile a little and M&M smiles again, you could always put a smile on his face somehow. Even when he thought about never doing P.E and how his dad hated the fact, or when he thought about the fact he could stay out for a week and his parents might just not think about the fact.

When he told you that you'd tell him something that makes it all better, you're good at doing stuff like that. That whole comfort thing came naturally to you "Then I walked with you and asked the name of your siblings and you told me about all of them, names and ages. I'd never found anything more interesting" You laugh

Darrel Curtis: Why do you think he lifts two things of roofing gear up and down the ladders at work instead of the recommended one? He's always gonna be strong enough to lift basically anyone he knows, not just you it gives him an advantage over the gang as well he can always lift people for no reason to prove his point. He takes pride in it really

Dallas Winston: Does he look like he gives a gaf? (me vs doing serious hcs for Dallas sorry guys I can't be bothered with the man, anyway) if you ever mention it he gets all "I'm with ya because you're pretty, so what if you think ya aren't?" It's the only time a sassed up 'your opinions don't matter anyway' feels like a bit of comfort

Johnny Cade: He's those guys in the 'things my boyfriend said with good intentions this week that hurt my feelings' he's so "It's okay, I don't like gals too skinny anyway" and then confused when you give a little sigh of disappointment at the stupid answer from his side, but in the end it makes you feel better anyway just watching him fumble to reassure you. You always knew he meant everything in a sweet way

Ponyboy Curtis: He's a scrunched nose, squint and eyebrow raise any time you even hint at insecurity. It's always a "Why would you ever be insecure about anything like that? You're pretty as ever!" Which always makes you giggle a little, because he just states it like a fact you'd be stupid not to believe when he says it

Sodapop Curtis: Like I've said, he loves loud!!!! He's so so so obnoxious about how much he loves you, all of you no matter if you like it or not. Because it's his opinion not yours, he's allowed to like your curves even if you don't. Which he exclaims to you basically all the time because he looooooves your build

Steve Randle: He couldn't care less!!!!!!!!! Who cares, he likes curves (as he's discovered from his journey through his dad magazine cabinets and boxes in the past way way back) he always dogs on anyone who tells him chubby girls aren't pretty, they need more cushioning to protect them cuz of how pretty they are. God reckons you can't let a pretty thing starve or leave her without padding just in case, that's always his reassurance

Darrel Curtis: Okay personal headcanon on the way, one or two of the Curtis boys is autistic to me (hell maybe all of them because why not, hehe the more the merrier ig guys) so Darrel gets it, he knows the gang is loud so if they are getting a little loud in mornings he'll discretely usher you to another somewhat peaceful room

Dallas Winston: This chud doesn’t know a thing, he just stares at you if you meltdown at any point. All he knows is sound equals bad, so hey. He does try, in the end you become the only person Dallas Winston ever becomes “soft spoken” ( if you even could call it that ) around, which isn’t so bad

Johnny Cade: He's relatively sensitive to noise as well, he doesn't love it when the gang is being too rowdy, especially if it's too early in the morning and he's gotten the minimal amount of sleep thanks to sleeping on cold concrete in the lot so he's an accommodating person, and not that loud when you hangout at all

Ponyboy Curtis: He's not all that similar but he does like his peace, he doesn't get overstimulated easily because of how chaotic everything's always kinda been in the Curtis home. You're always welcome and he uses Soda as the loud voice that'll make sure everyone quiets down if you ever need them to

Sodapop Curtis: He's so loud about it he may as well be the problem noise that's bothering you, as much as you insist you don't need everyone to be super quiet for you or that you don't need anyone to baby you you still hear him go off like a siren blares "QUIET DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWN"

Steve Randle: He's always all "I don't understand I want loud noises, they block out my thoughts" And all that stuff, so you two are two sides of the same coin. It's kinda hilarious in an odd way. He brings you the old earmuffs his dad would wear when he would work and you would wear them while Steve did all his mechanics stuff
