JOHNNY CADE HEADCANONS CUZ IM BORED AND I THINK ABOUT HIM TOO MUCH
-REALLY good with animals cuz of how calm he is so animals just come to him and chill (including bugs)
-Since Dally is canonically terrified of spiders Johnny grabs the spiders and lets them outside for Dally
-Never realizes when he’s hungry until food is placed in front of him and then he eats like a horse
-Squeezes his hands when he’s nervous
-Steals cat food from stores to feed stray cats in the lot
-Theirs a specific small black cat that always comes to him when his alone in the lot that he named JJ (Johnny Junior)
-He REALLY tries to not care about his parents loving him but he just can’t

GENUINELY I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE HAT ON CHARACTERS FOR DOING THINGS WHEN THEY ARE TEENS SM. LIKE THE SOCS AND CAMERON FROM DEAD POETS SOCIETY ARE CHILDREN!!! Yes ik they have done bad things but they are children and often have reasons for what they did but that conversation would be really long..
Tbh I don't think Steve hates Ponyboy that much. I think that the most is find him annoying and a bit of a tag along but by the way he talks to him I think he does genuinely care about him just doesn't really show it.
He's probably just like "Oh yeah Ponyboy? He can be annoying at times and he's a tag along for sure but he's a good kid."
And Ponyboy is just like "I HATE STEVE SO MUCH. HE'S ANNOYING AND HE HATES ME BACK"
I think that Steve can just be kinda mean to Ponyboy at times but does genuinely care about him. Ponyboy just has a lot of one-sided beef with everyone except for Johnny, Soda, and Two-Bit. #1 hater of all Tulsa
