I’ve been thinking about the title: ‘Taylor Swift: No Longer ‘Polite at All Costs’ and how when the call from kan*e was illegally leaked everyone pointed fingers at Taylor for what she said but no one ever stopped to think who was saying it and who was on the receiving end. she mentioned on the Variety article “I needed to get to a point where I was ready, able and willing to call out bullshit rather than just smiling my way through it.” adding to that how much she wanted his respect and how the person she was talking to is known for making her feel less, for always getting what he wants at all costs and has one of the most explosive, egocentric personalities in the world industry it is so obvious that he cornered her and manipulated her to be polite and that is such a men thing to do: make her uncomfortable and manipulate the situation to get what you want, use what society has wrongly taught them for years to sit quietly and politely, to agree with you because she is scared.... and then who ends up being guilty of being fucking polite? the woman of course... that’s why this title is SO important because it is so fucking relevant to taylor and to women in general!

I always thought the lyric “he’s so obsessed with me and boy I understand (boy i understand)” was just Taylor embracing the fact that he loves her so much and it makes her happy as hell........ but I realized that it’s *also* her saying she understands because she’s just as obsessed and in love with him as he is with her... love that for them!!!
