He is name-dropping fics from the seventh page of ao3 and referencing scenes from chapter 12 of said fics on national television. He is writing songs about the contents of said fics. To watch Taskmaster all together really is quite a thing because one moment it is 2015 & Alex Horne barely dares touch Greg Davies' elbow. The next it's 2018 & he's calling him Daddy. You see Greg Davies cringe at being called Daddy with his whole enormous body. And then it's 2026 & Daddy is now his default way to refer to himself

there are lots of cases where fandoms sort of take source material and warp it over time through posts, fanfiction, theories, the general online community, whatever. when I first browsed the greg/alex tag when I was only like 2 series into taskmaster I thought surely that's what has happened, there's no way theyre doing ageplay, bondage, feeder kink on their gameshow. there's no way there are full on bdsm scenes between two old men unfolding in front of a live studio audience. however, im willing to admit when I'm wrong. they are doing all of that plus a bunch of other stuff. and to be quite honest I'm surprised the fanfiction isn't way crazier and more unhinged than it already is, all things considered
