With seasonal temparatures rarely rising above -15° Celsius (5° F) during daytime in December, the frozen grassy terrain adjacent to the tarmac is regularly used for overlow parking, with the tower sometimes even sending smaller business jets such as Citations and Learjets to what it refers to as the «Snow Parking».
