In Papyrus Salt 825, Ra is said to have cried and these tears turned into myrrh. He cried a second time, and this time when the tear hit the ground, it turned into a honey bee. P. Salt 825, also titled “The End of the Work”, describes a ritual that may have been performed near the end of the mummification of Osiris, a ritual festival. It is basically a formulaeic description focussed on overcoming the enemies of Osiris, and it describes parts of the creation of the world. Divine rituals like this were eventually appropriated by (rich) private people, and P. Salt 825 has an added gloss that makes it plausible that this particular papyrus was one such used for a private burial.
So while Re didn’t literally cry bees, his tear did turn into a bee at least according to one text.
Creator gods creating through their bodily fluids is a recurring theme in Egyptian cosmogonological traditions. Re crying crops up more often; there’s a tradition which is likely based on consonantal association where his tears (remut) turned into humans (remetj).
