Well at Jerez I set pole, again, and it was my turn to be interviewed on television. As soon as I'd finished it was Pedrosa's turn. So I was stepping off the platform and he was stepping up. I offered him my hand and he said he didn't want to accept it. "I'm not shaking," he said. So I just walked past him, but I waited until the end of his interview and said, "Have you got a second for a chat?" We went into a corner and I told him that I didn't understand why he wouldn't shake hands. He said, "I'm not shaking hands because of everything you have said about me in the past. Because of all the bullshit you've said about me, I'm not shaking hands." I told him that I thought we should at least put a good face on it because it was good for the sport and for Spain. He repeated that he would not shake hands. I left and as I walked away from him he shouted after me: "No, because in the end I'll come out as the bad guy." I looked at [Colin] Edwards and he asked: "What's up with him?"

So my opinion on this matter is the following. Dani did have the injury, but him and Jorge weren't friends. They were the opposite. They were rivals and someone Dani hated, so Dani wasn't going to pretend that they weren't just for the camera.
