Yule und Yalda sind Winterfeste, die zur längsten Nacht des Jahres, der Wintersonnenwende, gefeiert werden. Beide haben alte Traditionen, die den Wechsel von Dunkelheit zu Licht feiern, und verbinden Gemeinschaft, Hoffnung und Erneuerung.

Was ist Yule?

• Ursprung: Aus keltischen und germanischen Traditionen.

• Bedeutung: Es feiert die Wiedergeburt der Sonne, den Sieg des Lichts und den Beginn eines neuen Zyklus.

• Bräuche:

• Der Yule-Log, ein Holzscheit, wird verbrannt, um Licht zu bringen.

• Immergrüne Pflanzen wie Tannenzweige und Misteln schmücken die Häuser.

• Feuer, Kerzen und Feste schaffen Wärme und Verbundenheit.

Was ist Yalda?

• Ursprung: Zoroastrische Wurzeln, seit Jahrhunderten im Iran gefeiert.

• Bedeutung: Der Triumph des Lichts über die Dunkelheit und der Beginn längerer Tage.

• Bräuche:

• Familie und Freunde bleiben bis Mitternacht wach, um die Nacht zu „überwinden“.

• Sommerfrüchte wie Granatäpfel und Wassermelonen symbolisieren Sonne und Leben.

• Traditionell werden Gedichte des persischen Dichters Hafez vorgelesen.

Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede

Gemeinsamkeiten:

• Beide Feste feiern die Wintersonnenwende.

• Licht und Wärme stehen im Mittelpunkt.

• Familie, Gemeinschaft und Festmahle spielen eine zentrale Rolle.

Unterschiede:

• Herkunft: Yule ist europäisch, Yalda persisch.

• Symbole: Yule nutzt immergrüne Pflanzen und Feuer, Yalda sommerliche Früchte und Poesie.

• Feierweise: Yalda konzentriert sich auf die Nacht, Yule wird oft über mehrere Tage gefeiert.

Yule und Yalda zeigen, wie Menschen weltweit die Verbindung zur Natur und die Hoffnung auf Licht und Neubeginn feiern – auf ihre eigene, aber oft ähnliche Weise.

It's been a while! Here's some notes for Yule fest

A Monstrous Feast

You don't have to immediately start eating at the first table. There is no time limit, so if there's lots of folks, you can let them go ahead

Berries & Mushrooms > Eggs > Bread and Pie. The first two are the fastest to eat and give the smallest speed debuff. Eggs are slightly slower, while bread and pie are very filling and will slow you down even more

This is more personal, but I like to drink the mystery drink as my 5th at a table so I can move to the next table with no debuffs (if it clears debuffs). If it doesn't, you can wait a bit before turning in your quest to try and have as little of that debuff as possible and not risk it still being active when you're eating at the next table

You can mount up between tables, as the speed debuffs don't affect your mount speed

And a reminder that the timer is the time you have to reach the next table eat 5 things and turn in the quest!

Champ sprint removes the speed debuff, as does probably anything that 'sets run speed to x%'

She allowed herself a slight reprieve, resting her head on the wall and bracing her hands against the smooth wooden wardrobe, wondering if this, too, had been carved by his hands. All these years in Romania, and he’d learned such wonderful skills that only made him more–

There was no stopping the screech when she was unceremoniously yanked from her hiding place and into the open.

Charlie hadn’t even allowed the folding stool to fall to the ground, one hand holding fast to her upper arm and the other currently propping the stool up against the wall out of the way.

“How–I–I didn’t even hear you! That’s impossible–” she sputtered, at a complete loss as to how she’d missed tracking his movements.

His chuckle was warm in its affection, effectively soothing her agitation, and, once he brought his second hand around to pull her against him so that he wrapped around Hermione from behind, she melted even further. The scruff of his beard tickled at her ear where he bent to give his reply.

“You forget that I know every inch of these cabins: each creaky board, every shadow within every room. Even without magic, I can pinpoint a lifeforce as vibrant as yours as easily as breathing, not to mention how I’m already familiar with your delicious perfume, one I like even more for being completely unintentional. It’s simply you. You might as well have tied that ribbon to you and handed me the other end.”

Hearing him admit to not only knowing her scent well enough to trace it, but liking it enough to deem it “delicious” had her pussy throbbing along with her heartbeat and demanding attention now.

“Now that you’ve caught me, what do you plan to do?” The question came out breathier than she’d intended. Hermione might as well lay herself out on the bed right there with both legs spread wide.

Another chuckle, then a teasing exhale along her cheek. The arms around her tightened. Hermione could feel every hard edge and muscle pressing into her softer curves, particularly along the seam of her arse and up her lower back. Why had she tried to hide, again? Yule was once the name of a Pagan festival but when Christianity became the religion of choice many of its practices were absorbed into Christmas, with which it has become synonymous.

The earliest form of Yule may have in fact have been in celebration of the Old Norse gods particularly Odin, who’s name Jólnir means the Yule one.
