Season's greetings, dearest goblinfam! Wishing each and every one of you a wonderful holiday season. ✨️
Be sure to check your pinecones for pinecone sprites, and your chimneys, fireplaces and stovetops for soot wyrms!
Pinecone sprites, as their names suggest, are only found in pinecones. These ghostly lil' creatures are mostly dormant throughout the year, and only emerge from their pinecone shelters during autumn and winter.
Soot wyrms are curious lil' critters which are commonly found in households, although you'll rarely see them apart from the tiny trails of soot they leave behind. They live in small groups and can be lured out with tiny pieces of coal, which they love snacking on. 🎄💖🎄

It's not Trixie, but a pinecone's being eaten, so I'm putting it on the list!
This was drawn at the Everfree Northwest 2025 Draft Horses panel. These panels are always a fun collaboration, where four artists take audience suggestions, workshop an idea, and turn it into a comic in real-time, each doing one panel.
Draft Horses is a collection of MLP artists, and they posted this comic here: https://bsky.app/profile/drafthorses.bsky.social/post/3m6iewbn3722k
The contributing artists for this comic were - Punkitt - Balileart - Moozua - TheRealAkiNeko
The whole panel was recorded here:
I went to the panel and sat next to a friend who knows that I'm behind the Trixcone thing. I wasn't going to suggest anything to the artists, but my pal decided to bring up the pinecones, and it turned into a pretty fun comic.
A while into the video, around 1:09:30, the artists start discussing pinecones and it turns into a discussion about the backstory of Trixie Eating Pinecones. I eventually raise my hand, out myself as the guy behind Trixcone, and attempt to give some backstory to this whole thing.
I love everyone's different art styles in the finished product and the goofy expressions. Every part of it fits the characters pretty well, great job by all the artists.
