It's been a while! Here's some notes for Yule fest

A Monstrous Feast

You don't have to immediately start eating at the first table. There is no time limit, so if there's lots of folks, you can let them go ahead

Berries & Mushrooms > Eggs > Bread and Pie. The first two are the fastest to eat and give the smallest speed debuff. Eggs are slightly slower, while bread and pie are very filling and will slow you down even more

This is more personal, but I like to drink the mystery drink as my 5th at a table so I can move to the next table with no debuffs (if it clears debuffs). If it doesn't, you can wait a bit before turning in your quest to try and have as little of that debuff as possible and not risk it still being active when you're eating at the next table

You can mount up between tables, as the speed debuffs don't affect your mount speed

And a reminder that the timer is the time you have to reach the next table eat 5 things and turn in the quest!

Champ sprint removes the speed debuff, as does probably anything that 'sets run speed to x%'

Start at the entrance into Tharbad from Swanfleet. Head to the bridge then north for Levee @ 56.7S 37.4W, then to the eastern island. Go up the hill, through the arch, past the fountain, into the building, then all the way to the top for C1. Head back down and finish crossing the water and towards Sedgemead and the bottom large lake on map (spoiler its ruins). Find C2 in the circle of ruins @ 51.1S 36.7W, then go to the small island with ruins for C3 in the middle of EM on the map.

Head towards Amon Firn, catching Borsashat spawn around last D in Segdemead. Climb to the top of Amon Firn for Obelisk, then go to the TR in Trollshaws to look for Turch then to the south side of ruins for C4 @ 46.0S 27.4W. Go to Haudh Nírui. Enter and go down a level via tbe left stairs, then 180 to the right and find C5. Head back up and straight west to the road north into Lonelands. Find Skrizug on either side of Scurloc Farm, cross the north road, then head to the ruins to the north for C6 @ 38.4S 40.2W.

Head south to Caranost and climb all the way up. Find C7 at the left side of the topmost tower. Port to Andrath, then run to Dol Ernil and up to throne room. Find Seat, then C8 after a 180 on the right side. Head out to Old Forest, then hunt Crúgaul just west of Sarch Vorn, then continue to C9 in the gated area @ 37.4S 55.5W. Head south to Nettinglade (path up west side of cliffs) for Agerbráth, them head towards Tyrn Gorthad. Run to the G&R in Tyrn Gorthad to hunt Penthúl, then D for Withergrip. Then head south for Memorial @ 44.1S 51.7W, then keep the hill on your left side to ruins and grab C10 @ 45.0S 53.0W. Continue circling to Wylenclove and a gazebo for C11, then find Drugodech right nearby

Head to C12 @ 49.4S 54.5W, then run to the top of Gaervarad for Oath, then further S/SE to hunt Tarangarn. Run and find C13 @ 54.7S 45.8W. Scroll is then auto-obtained from finishing the Rhiangar questline.

(For these, 'C' refers to a treasure cache)

Start at Mossward and run to the Howlingstones, turn left at the giant tree stump and find C1 @ 61.7S 33.3W. Run back to Mossward, stable to Lintrev, then head out and to the road to the west to look for Gnaw. Follow the road south from Lintrev (like you're heading to Cobshallow), cross the river, then head west. Head up the hill to the south, go to the very top, find C2 @ 64.2S 26.5W right up against a tree. Run down to Glyn Helyg, down to the river, and find Fishing Rod next to the waterwheel.

Head back to Lintrev, then drop down the cliffs and cross the river to Sharmokal, and go to the top most level. Find C3 next to an Uruk-hai Captain. Run back out and north, then follow the road east. Run to the gate at end of yellow brick road and find Stone to the left inside the gate. Head back west and up the hill labeled 'Old South Road.' Find C4 at the very top.

Port to Lhan Garan, then south to the hill opposite the previous treasure, find C5 in the brigand camp. Head back to Lhan Garan, stable to Caras Gelebren, then go south to the river for Pendant @ 55.8S 19.3W. Go back up to Gelebren to the top level and all the way east, finding C6 sitting at a trio of pillars @ 53.6S 19.9W. Find Cornerstone on the northern edge of the lake, then stable to Western Eregion.

Go all the way north and find C7 @ 41.6S 17.8W. Head back to the river and follow it south, stopping at a dead end. Find C8 nestled between some rocks @ 40.6S 21.8W. Head SW to Tham Lasgol, hunting Drindolf at the N in Western on the way, find Poetry up a ramp in a small building @ 49.0S 21.8W

Continue into the Wadewater, stopping by the first E in Eregion to hunt Norlúg. Go to the northernmost island, then to the westernmost part of that island. Find C9 and Notes in a palisade @ 51.9S 25.9W in Gwâl Cruban, then look for Stoneback nearby. Continue west to the R in Wadewater to hunt Gristbite, then head towards Tharbad. Head just south of the word Gwathló to look for Thostmoth, then go SW for C10 @ 54.9S 35.2W. Head south towards Mossward, follow the road, and find Dagger @ 58.6S 34.5W

Here's a few random tidbits I've noticed over the years:

Attic: if you walk right in the middle of the two pillars before the exit, you should, most of the time, avoid the bird trick (unless someone else has been hit by it)

Quite possibly random, but I've also noticed if I'm not hit by the bird trick in the attic, I'm very likely going to be hit by the spider trick in the cobwebbed wing. It's also brief, as it lasts long enough to get the quest objective and get out. Afk a moment or miss grabbing it and the 'immunity' will be gone

Cobweb: getting stopped by spiders is...kinda random? I usually don't get bothered when walking in for things, but walking out? You're almost always stopped at the clickable door and the wide, open doorway is random. BUT. If you walk past someone who is webbed, the odds are very good you'll get webbed too. Also, both the item for Holfast and the trophy for the race/stroll can be gathered from the outside wall, avoiding the worst of the webbing tricks

Creeping: staying out of the middle of the doorway avoids the effect in there, but if someone else is tricked, you will be too. You can get the correct barrel from the other side of the wall

Basement: not much here. Coughing doesn't really stop you

For anyone who is running this on landscape difficulty, this is an instanced zone, so the buff is turned off! It'll return when you leave the burrow

Riddle bottles: white, blue, orange, blue

In the main cellar, the scared hobbit near the mystery door, on occasion, can have the crate next to her pop open and startle her, making her an unclickable target for the quest. I've only seen that happen once in 3 or 4 years of doing this festival
