🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍 Some of you may not know, but I'm a Global Goodwill Ambassador for a charity called Postcards for Peace. For those of you tbat do know, It's that time of year again; our Children's Postcard Design Competition. 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙 If anyone has any young siblings, children, cousins, nephews, nieces, etc. And work with children and young people aged 5- 17, either in Youth clubs, schools or any other organisations and groups read on to find out how to get them involved. We would also love to do some collabs in the future. 🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨 It is fitting that the theme of our children's Postcard Design Competition is "Uniting The World", as today we are delighted to announce that we have joined forces with Peace One Day​ to become part of their Partnerships For Peace Coalition. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 2018 is the fifth year for the design competition which, in the past, has seen entries from Russia, Greece, New Zealand, Singapore, Germany, Switzerland, Iraq, Lebanon, the USA & UK. 💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡 This year, the twenty best entries will each be printed and sent out to a different location on #PeaceDay. 📮📮📮📮📮📮📮📮📮📮📮📮📮 Each time someone receives one of the twenty postcards, they will be asked to log their location on our website before they send it on. to young artists and those who so badly want to create & shake the world-- 1. you can & you will. don't let anyone tell you differently. a lot of artists don't start as teens because they don't know what they want to create yet. this is fine, sometimes the creative muse finds people at different times. but if you have yours now, you are not too young to begin. you may be working on a manuscript or something for years before you get it done but you are not too young to begin. 2. the thing is, though, right now if you're in high school/college, you've got to be in school. it is okay to only work on your art occasionally because you're focusing on school. i understand that creating is far more exciting and fulfilling. i get that in school that you're working on things you may not like/may not matter for your career path/creative goals. but you cannot stop trying in school because of this. school is important. even if it seems like a drudge and you're just playing the game, you gotta keep going. 3. focusing on school for a short amount of time during the school year does not make you a failure as an artist. beginning your creative work is getting you ahead of the game. no one can halt their life to solely work on their dreams--make time where you can, but don't beat yourself up for missing writing days because of school deadlines/responsibilities. you're doing okay, alright, guys? art isn't created in a day and you're working your butt off where you can, but life demands a lot. keep up with your responsibilities but never, ever give up on your dreams and never stop working. your pace isn't as important as never giving up :)
