In answer to your question, the most valuable thing you can do is gather information. Don't just wait until the next social media awareness post circles you about legislation that needs prevention - be the person who finds the legislation in the first place.

Work on a buddy system - pick a specific local area to monitor the news and legislative activities. Make an online friend there and get on the ground reports of their story, their life. Don't let the stories of small town trans america go unheard

Share posts with telephone and email scripts for calling + contacting representatives and encourage your mutual to take action

If you can, donate to initiatives that help trans people in the US

And circling back to my first point - help yourself and your own people. The fight for trans existence is an interconnected mesh, not just in a metaphorical one-body one-voice sense, but in a literal one. Transphobia anywhere in the world encourages transphobia elsewhere, while trans joy + power does the same. Fight for one of us you fight for all of us.

These two photos both use colour but in very different ways. The photo of me was taken in a pictorialist style which tries to create photographs that look like paintings. It is blurred and uses a small range of soft colours.
