also, not to sound like an ass, but if you’re writing a v popular muse, please avoid making vague, negative posts about duplicates? like, particularly talking about how seeing them on your dash makes you feel awful or expressing upset over mobile not allowing you to blacklist their blogs. and please especially don’t do this almost directly after one of your mutuals has replied to one such duplicate.
i’ll be the first one to empathize -- i think we’ve all been there where we’ve felt awful about our characterizations after seeing duplicates. it’s hard to not compare yourself to someone else writing the same muse, i get that!! i totally get that. but making these vague & negative posts is only going to make your mutuals feel like shit too bc you’re going to make them feel like they’re upsetting you simply by interacting with someone else, which is not at all fair.
no one should feel like they should have to hide their interactions with another version of your muse on their own blog. no one is obligated to practice exclusives with you. don’t make them feel bad for writing with their other friends just because said friend happens to play the same muse as you. you’re only going to make everyone feel bad. if you need to vent about that sort of thing, please consider taking it privately to a friend instead.
I don’t go to people’s blogs, looking for things to shit on. I follow people and their posts show up on my dash, or someone I follow reblogs something and that shows up on my dash. Our posts do not reside in a vacuum. Posting something to your blog does not hide it from the Tumblr-sphere. So, if you don’t want someone commenting on something you post, I would suggest either hiding your blog or tagging a post that you do not wish to interact on.
