It's such a mixed blessing having a really stable, unionised job because it is really difficult to give that up, especially since I absolutely hate job searching, networking, and interviewing with a passion. But on the other hand if it weren't for work/income concerns I would absolutely not stay here. Like the stable job is kind of the one thing holding me in a city I don't really like that much.

Interestingly I prefer remote work and remote meetings, but I highly prefer in-person for any sort of educational environment. Maybe it's because I actually enjoy learning and don't like office work but language classes especially are soooo much better in person.
