oh please can you write something with ace jimmy olsen đ maybe something where he and reader are both ace and reader helps jimmy realise he is, or one where heâs worried about not being enough only for the reader to also be ace đ
Relationship(s):Â asexual!Jimmy Olsen x gn!asexual!reader (romantic)
Summary:Â You and Jimmy have been on a few dates now. He decides it's time to tell you something important. Based on past experiences, he's afraid that it's a dealbreaker.
Warnings:Â Referenced acephobia; internalised acephobia; ace-related dating struggles; food/eating. (Let me know if I need to add any)
Word count:Â 1.2k
(A/N: As I've mentioned in a previous post, I love the interpretation of Jimmy being on the ace spectrum. He's what I like to call a 'Jessica Rabbit asexual', in that he is canonically very attractive to other people, but that sexuality is imposed upon him more than it's something he experiences for himself. It's one of my favourite ace character types. Also, this isn't me saying that you have to interpret Jimmy as being ace or that I think that he is or should be canonically ace. But, as an ace person, I think it's a neat way to think about his character. And, on that note, I have to add the disclaimer that this is very much from my own experiences and feelings around my own asexuality. Apologies if you're an ace reader and you don't like my portrayal of asexuality. I do admit, the few ace!reader fics I've written are centred around insecurity and/or coming out, so apologies if you're tired of that kind of fic. Of course, if you have any requests, ace-based, Jimmy-based or not, my inbox is always open!)
Jimmy couldnât help but think something was wrong with him. He attracted women so effortlessly â an everyday superpower that most men would give a whole arm for. And, as sweet and pretty as most of these women were, he couldnât bring himself to do what he was expected to do with their attention. Whether they knew it or not, he tried so hard to make it work, but ultimately he couldnât. Some of them were patient and understanding. Some of them thought heâd messed around with their feelings. If he wasnât so confused and so in his own head about what the hell was the matter with him, he might have felt even guiltier about it.
Was he even attracted to women? The question had popped up in his mind a few times. Maybe if he got propositioned by someone who wasnât a woman, that would be that. Heâd be fully into it. Heâd just be one of those gay dudes who women couldnât help but fall for. But, he wasnât gay, either. That's not to say he was straight. When he thought about it, he liked the idea of dating anyone, no matter what their gender was. His problem â the thing he couldnât get over â was the whole thing of him not being all too eager about sex, contrary to what people might assume given his strange magnetism.
Sex was this vital aspect of relationships â Jimmy knew that. And, he knew, if he didnât feel sexual attraction to anyone, and if sex wasnât part of any ideal future relationship he might have, itâd be a dealbreaker for a lot of people. It had been. So, to stick himself with a label that could potentially doom him and his prospects at finding a relationship⌠well, as much as the label resonated with him, and as much comfort as he found in knowing that he wasnât alone, he was a little scared, truth be told.
This worry loomed over him as he started to fall for you. It was why he held off on asking you out, because it seemed unfair to be the one to initiate anything with you if he knew full well that he wouldnât be able to give you what all of his past partners had wanted. But, as always, he only had to wait for you to ask him. You were so nervous that heâd have felt cruel turning you down â not to mention, of course, he really did want to go out with you. And, so he did. He was so charmed by you that, after a few dates, he almostâ almostâ forgot about the issue of sex. But, the more he felt himself falling for you, the guiltier he felt. There wasnât any reason for him to feel guilty, of course.
Regardless, that guilt is why he found himself sitting across from you at a quaint little diner â his suggestion, his treat. As heâd hoped, it was pretty much deserted, besides a group of four teenagers sitting on the opposite side of the diner and the two waitresses who were busying themselves by cleaning tables. The pair of you sat in silence as you ate. It would have been comfortable if Jimmy wasnât agonising over the idea of telling you about the thing that had ended so many promising relationships. Even though he was close to full, he wished he had another burger or another serving of fries to keep his mouth out of action. But, he knew that itâd be better for the both of you if he just got this over with. Delaying the inevitable would only make things worse.
âSo, uhââ He cleared his throat. âI think Iâd better tell you something before things get too serious.â
âSure.â You covered your mouth as you spoke, the last bite of food still mushed up in your mouth. âIs everything okay?â
He scratched his eyebrow and let out a nervous chuckle.
âYeah. No. I mean, I donât know.â
You grabbed your napkin and scrubbed the corners of your mouth and your fingers, conscious of the fact that you didnât want to have shit all over your face when Jimmy was talking about something serious.
âWhatâs up?â
âI⌠I donât know how to explain it all that well. But, I, uh, I guess⌠people assume Iâm, like, some ladies man and that I sleep around. Maybe you do too. But, actually, Iâm not into⌠sex.âÂ
You nodded.
âOkay.â
âI like you â I really like you,â he added, panic in his tone. âBut, not in a way that involves sex⌠And⌠if thatâs a dealbreaker for you, thatâs okay. I just⌠I figured I should tell you now, before things go too far.â
As he awaited his fate, he looked anywhere but at you. Though, the second you spoke, his eyes darted straight to you.
âI donât wanna put words in your mouth or make you label yourself or anything but⌠are you asexual?â
âProbably. Yeah.â
âWhat about aromantic?â
He shook his head.
âNo. Justâjust⌠asexual.â
You noticed his hesitation to use the word and you offered him a small, reassuring smile. Heâd barely said the word aloud before â about himself, anyway. Itâd cycled through his head plenty of times but it still scared him with how definitive it felt, no matter how accurate it was to his experience. Every time heâd tested it out, it filled him with nerves as much as it relieved him, in the way that only the truth could.Â
He knew there was nothing wrong with him or any other ace person. Not everyone agreed with that, and even those who were accepting of asexuality werenât always open to dating ace people. The people he attracted tended to fall in that latter camp. At the very least, it was nice to be met with support even when it was, more often than not, the end of things, like with any incompatibility in a relationship. He couldnât begrudge anyone for their needs in a relationship, in the same way he hoped they didnât begrudge him for his, but he couldnât deny that it hurt.
âWell,â you said. âI donât want to take away from your moment or anything, but this is probably a good time to tell you that Iâm asexual.â
Jimmy stared at you for a moment before replying.
âYouâre asexual?âÂ
âYep.â
âSoâŚâ
âSo, you donât have to worry about sex with me, okay? The feelingâs mutual. No offence. Your charms only work so much on me.â
At that, Jimmy let out a much needed laugh. His posture relaxed as all that built-up tension left his body. A wobbly smile tugged at the corners of his lips. Tears brimmed his eyes. You reached across the table and grabbed his hand; you knew exactly how he felt, having been in his position plenty of times. It broke your heart that heâd been so nervous, no doubt from rejection after rejection. It wasnât all doom and gloom for ace people, of course â this moment was evidence of that â but it sure felt like that sometimes. Youâd be lying if you denied getting a little choked up as well.

Too Many Jokes (Dean Winchester X Daughter!Reader) *PLATONIC
Characters: Dean Winchester X Daughter!Reader
Universe: Supernatural
Warnings: Fear of Homophobia
Request: can i request a dean x daughter!reader where she gets really mad at him for him making jokes about her being asexual. He realizes he was being a douche and they forgive each other over cherry pie.
The second the joke came out of your dadâs mouth, your mood became foul. He may have meant it as a joke and to be harmless, but this was the fifth one to day, and youâd lost count on which number you were on for the week. All the jokes were targeted at you, specifically your asexuality.Â
At first you liked the jokes. They started not long after you came out to your family, explaining that you didnât have sexual attraction. Your dad had responded with the joke âAt least I donât have to worry about you getting pregnant.â But now it was weeks later, and the jokes hadnât slowed down, and it went from funny, to annoying, to pissing you off. It went from it being like his way to show he supported you, to making fun of you.
Your uncle saw you were getting frustrated and several times had told your dad to knock it off a few times, and you had even told your dad a few times now that it wasnât funny anymore. But he still persisted. It wasnât a surprise that you were soon hanging by a thread, and this last joke finally cut it.Â
At the time you were having food at a diner, and so you got up and stormed out, and went and got in the back of the Impala. You got in the back, crossing your arms, brooding and waiting for your uncle and dad to come out. It took them a while, but soon they came out. Your dad looked a bit deflated, and your uncle gave you a smile through the window as he came around the car and got in. Your dad didnât say anything on the drive home.
As soon as you got home, you got out the car and went immediately to your room. As you were walking away you heard your dad call your name before your uncle told him to leave you alone. Even Sam sounded fed up with him, and you didnât have to doubt he was gonna yell at his older brother.Â
You shut the door to your room and jumped on your bed, grumbling with frustration. You wanted to yell at him. You were thinking about wishing that youâd never told him, which was upsetting to think about. If you hadn't told him, he wouldnât be making these jokes. Was these jokes actually him meant to be at your expense and him passively saying he didnât support you.
A quiet knock came from your door. âY/n, can we talk?â Your dad asked you. You didnât answer at first, but soon huffed, getting up and opening the door for him. You looked up at him with a rather disappointed glare before going and sitting back on your bed. âYouâre really pissed off at me, huh?â You didnât answer, just looking ahead. Dean sighed, coming and sitting down beside you. âYou have every right to be angry at me⌠Iâve been a dick, and Iâm sorry.â He apologised.Â
âIâve been asking you to stop with the stupid jokes for weeks now- so has Uncle Sammy.â You grumbled, crossing your arms.Â
âYeah and I should have respected that⌠Tell you what. Weâve got some cherry pie in the fridge, we heat it up and you can tell me exactly how youâre feeling and what you want from me. How does that sound?â He offered. You accepted by standing up and walking out to go to the kitchen and your dad followed.Â
You sat at the table as your dad heated it up, and soon he came over and put a slice in front of you and sat opposite you. âAlright, let loose.âÂ
â... I used to like the jokes. But now it feels like youâre making fun of me, and itâs like you donât accept me but wonât outright say it, in a way so that if I did bring up before now you could deny it⌠do you accept me?â You started. Dean leant on the table to get closer.Â
âOf course I do honey. You could come to me tomorrow and say youâve figure out that youâre not asexual and you indentify as something else, and Iâd still accept you. No matter what Iâd love you, kid. Donât ever doubt that⌠I made the jokes because I wanted you to feel comfortable around me about it, and I guess I was so concerned about wanting you to feel happy about it that I went overboard and did the opposite.â He explained, and you nodded. âSo, no more jokes about asexuality?âÂ
âYou can joke about it, just⌠not as much?â
âOkay, whatâs my limit?âÂ
âOne every two weeks. Also you can bring it up to any guy who tries to flirt with me.â You told him.Â
âIs that part of the test to see if he can get my approval?â Dean questioned and you nodded. âOkay⌠none of them are gonna get my approval anyway soâŚâ Dean commented before taking a bite of his pie, making you laugh lightly.Â
Hope you like it! If you have any questions, please send them in!
Headcanons: Being The WWDITS Gangâs Asexual Vampire Friend
MASTERLISTÂ |Â AO3
Relationship(s): The What We Do in the Shadows Gang x asexual!gn!reader (platonic)
Warnings: Canon-typical sexual humour. (Let me know if I need to add any)
(A/N: If youâre reading this during Asexual Awareness Week, Happy Asexual Awareness Week. If not, Iâll give you a regular hello. I found out itâs Ace Awareness Week mere moments before starting this, so I decided to write something in celebration of the occasion. Of course, I love to represent my fellow aces year-round. If you ever have an ace!reader request- no matter the week- feel free to sent it in! Also, thereâs more of a focus on a sex-neutral or sex-averse reader. Apologies to the sex-positive aces!)
At least one of them (by that, I mean Nadja, Laszlo or Nandor) tried to seduce you before they found out that youâre asexual.
Take your pick.
Despite their wounded pride and mild disappointment of you not being sexually attracted to them, theyâd still be happy to be friends with you.
I feel like Guillermo and Colin would be the most understanding of asexuality.
Nadja, Laszlo and Nandor at least somewhat get it too- in their centuries on the Earth, theyâve met all different kinds of people, asexuals included.
But, if youâre an ace who doesnât have sex, they do express pity you for not experiencing sex, something they all thoroughly enjoy.
Also, Nandor has definitely made some sort of comment about aspiring to your âstrength and willpowerâ for managing to go for so long without sex.
The guy genuinely thinks you possess the strength of a thousand average sized men.
Also, Iâm sure at one point or another Laszlo has offered to ârelieve you, if youâd likeâ.
Itâs supposed to be a generous gesture of friendship.
Of course, Guillermo rolls his eyes whenever any of them make a comment of this nature.
Nandor, Nadja and Laszlo donât really understand how one can live without experiencing sexual attraction.
Theyâre all respectful of your sexuality, though; itâs not a matter of them looking down on you.
Basically, theyâre not aphobic; just comically sex-obsessed to the point of them having a slightly myopic worldview.
I can imagine that itâs somewhat difficult to fit into the vampire community when youâre not particularly interested in sex.
See: the Bi-Annual Vampire Orgy.
That said, if itâs a well-known fact in the community that youâre asexual, then I feel like most vampires would be understanding and considerate of it, because I said so, and the whole thing about some vampires having existed for so long that theyâve met plenty of different kinds of people.
Of course, youâre always welcome to attend the orgies for the food and social aspect of it.
I imagine that, if anyone does disrespect you, your boundaries, your sexuality etc., Nadja will be the most protective of you.
You can probably stand up for yourself, but she always has your back if you need it.
Overall, your vampire friends are accepting of you.
They wonât try to change you or convince you that youâre not who you are.
But, if you ever do change your mind on that shag, Laszloâs always there.
Imagine: Guillermo (Begrudgingly) Introducing You, His Asexual Friend, To Nandor
MASTERLISTÂ |Â AO3
Relationship(s): Guillermo de La Cruz x gn!(sex averse/neutral) asexual!virgin!reader (platonic), Nandor the Relentless x gn! (sex averse/neutral) asexual!virgin!reader (unspecified)
Warnings:Â Non-graphic references to sex. Maybe some things that could be viewed as a tad insensitive to aces, but please keep in mind that Iâm ace and that this is just light-hearted fluff. (Let me know if I need to add any)
(A/N: I had this idea when watching the vampire orgy episode. I know that not all of my fellow aces are virgins, and that some are sexually active (good on you for getting that [insert genital/s of preference]). However, I figured itâd be nice to write a WWDITS ace!reader-insert fic, and I also figured having a virgin!reader would be a good premise for a quick, funny imagine. Iâm definitely thinking of writing more Nandor x ace!reader stuff in the future so keep an eye out for that or even request some yourself. [Insert obligatory begging for WWDITS requests, because I love everyone in this polycule])
âGuillermo!â you greeted. Who knew youâd run into him in the party aisle of the supermarket?
You briefly eyed the camera crew who were following him and filming you.
Initially, he smiled genuinely, but faltered when he heard Nandor approach him from behind, remembering the vampireâs presence. However, he managed to promptly plaster the smile back on his face.
âY/N! Hey...â he replied, his voice trembling slightly.
The unfamiliar man now beside him glanced between the two of you uncertainly, but his eyes finally landed on you. His smile seemed a tad strange, but it was endearing in its own way nonetheless.
âGuillermo,â he said, revealing his foreign accent, though you were more fixated on his eccentric (albeit quite snazzy) outfit. âWho is this?â
âUh...this is my friend...Y/N.â Guillermo introduced stiffly. He looked over at you. âY/N, this is...Nandor.â
âOh, uh, thanks, I guess.â you said sheepishly. âItâs just deodorant, though.â
Nandor looked at you blankly, though he continued to smile. He leaned down to Guillermo, bending his knees awkwardly so his mouth was level with his familiarâs ear.
âGuillermo, why donât you invite them to the orgy?â he whispered with all the subtlety of a lightning strike. Guillermoâs face fell.
Your eyes widened and you swallowed your saliva.
âAn...orgy?â you repeated incredulously. âThatâs nice of you...to invite me. But, Iâm not really an orgy kind of person. Or a sex kind of person, really.â
Noticing Nandorâs faded smile, you couldnât help but continue to ramble to this man you barely knew. Heat rose to your cheeks.
âIâm not judgemental!â you blurted, painfully aware of Guillermoâs grimace (though you misinterpreted its meaning). âIâm just asexual...so Iâm not really into people...in the sexual way...â
You finally forced your mouth shut.
âEven better.â Nandor declared.Â
His smile returned, even wider than before. You knitted your brows.
âUm-â
âYou do not have to partake in the sexual intercourse.â he insisted. âYou can come...for the food. There will be-â
Once again, he leaned down to speak in Guillermoâs ear. Guillermo stared into the lens of the camera. You glanced over at the camera too.
âGuillermo, what do these asexuals eat?â
Guillermo sighed, but his eyes almost lit up when he realised he may have had a way out of this conversation.
âGarlic bread.â
âNo! You know that wonât do.â Nandor hissed at him scornfully. âFucking guy.
âWhat else?â
âCake...â Guillermo conceded through gritted teeth
âCake?â you repeated. âIâm down for cake.â
Nandor grinned and rubbed his hands together in glee. âCake you shall have, then.â
Once again, Guillermo, less than happy, sent a glare to the camera.
So after originally identifying as ace and deciding to just use the term queer because of uncertainty about my specific sexuality, I've realised that I am, in fact, more than likely asexual after all. There's probably a more specific label under that umbrella that would fit me, but ace is good enough for me lol. Anyway, with this 'realisation', I'd like to write some more ace!reader fics. When I eventually start writing for TWD, I plan on doing some ace!Daryl x ace!reader fics. Other than that, I'm at a loss for who to write for. So, please send in some requests!

Relationship(s): Todd Chavez x gender neutral!asexual!reader (romantic)
Summary:Â Todd is nervous to tell you something thatâs clearly important to him. While attempting to make him feel more comfortable, you ease his nerves in a way that you hadnât expected to do so.
Warnings: None! (Let me know if I need to add any)
Word count: 0.5k
(A/N: Toddâs an important character to me. Heâs the character who helped me realise and accept my sexuality, and Iâll always appreciate him and BoJack Horseman a little more for that (on top of my already immense adoration for this show regardless of its portrayal of asexuality). That means that I canât let this Pride Month go by without writing for Todd, even if itâs just in the form of this short, dialogue-driven one-shot.)
As you looked on at Todd from across the table in the semi-packed diner, you couldnât help but wonder what secret he could possibly harbour that would make him this anxious.Â
Was he a meth dealer? Had he partaken in murder?
It wasnât as though you two had been best friends back in high school, but you liked to think youâd known him well enough back then and that you knew him well enough now to be able to confidently assume he wasnât capable of doing either of those things, at least on purpose.Â
Todd could definitely do both of those things by accident...especially on the same day.
So, maybe he was a meth dealer and/or had assisted a murderer.
You were far too optimistic to believe Todd was capable of murder, only manslaughter or unwittingly being an accessory to murder.
The way his gaze was fixed on his lap as he twiddled his thumbs reminded you of yourself when you had shared a fairly significant and secret part of your identity with the people most important to you. As you remembered how you felt in those moments, you couldnât help but say to Todd what you had needed to hear leading up to your moments of confession.
âLook, Todd, you donât have to tell me right now if youâre not ready.â you insisted. âBut, if you feel like you need to tell me right now, I promise Iâll be totally understanding, unless itâs illegal. I canât make any promises if itâs illegalâ
Todd sighed, a faint smile on his lips as he finally dared to meet your gaze. âThanks, Y/N. I promise itâs totally legal. Probably. I havenât looked it up, but Iâm guessing itâs legal.â he said. âI want to tell you, and Iâve told plenty of other people before, but with you it feels...different to telling them.â
âWhyâs that?â you asked.
âWell, itâs not like I think youâre a totally closed-minded person or anything. I just know that...after I tell you...thereâs a small chance you wouldnât accept it. If that happened, itâd hurt me way more than if anyone else Iâve told before hadnât accepted me.â Todd explained in a bashful manner.
âIâve been in your position, if that helps.â you said. âI donât know what your thing is, but for me, it was coming out as ace. You know what that is, right?â
âYouâre...youâre asexual?â Todd said with clear disbelief, his tone of voice otherwise ambiguous.
âYep.â you responded fairly casually, before you realised that you had just came out to your boyfriend. âIâm sorry for not telling you before. It just never came up, and now Iâm just used to telling people when it comes up rather than...going through this whole thing every time. Itâs not a problem, is it?â
âA problem? Of course not!â Todd exclaimed, a grin on his face. âItâs-itâs pretty great, actually.â
âGreat?â you questioned, brows furrowed. âWhy great?â
âOh, right, yeah.â Todd said, composing himself just enough for him to tell you what had clearly been gnawing at him. âIâm asexual too!âÂ
You had no idea what your face was doing, but you assumed it reflected the mixture of shock and giddiness that had suddenly started to swirl around in your mind.
âOh my God!â you exclaimed. âThat is great, or, dare I say, ace.â
Relationship: Asexual!Abed Nadir x Asexual!gn!reader (romantic)
Summary: Neither Abed nor you (his partner) show a lot of affection to one another, and both of you are okay with it. However, when he starts to feel insecure about your relationship following a comment from Pierce, Abed starts to act weird, though itâs different to âAbed weirdâ. When you ask him about it, he asks you one question: âAre you happy with me?â
Warnings: Very mild angst, acephobia and sickly sweet fluff to end it! (Let me know if I need to add any)
Word count: 1.9k
(A/N: As an asexual, I really hate reading fics that go from fluffy to smutty within the span of a paragraph, though Iâm glad that so many people can derive entertainment, comfort and/or joy from those kinds of fics. However, thereâs always a lack of fanfiction in which the reader is/can be interpreted as asexual, which can usually feel really frustrating and a little alienating. So, I decided to write this one-shot, in which an asexual Abed and an asexual reader are in a perfectly happy relationship. If youâre unfamiliar with asexuality, please educate yourself on it. Compared to other orientations, asexuality is severely overlooked. Anyway, I think Abed is a character who could be interpreted as asexual, but itâs cool if you donât think he is. Iâm not entirely sure what sexuality I interpret him to be, though, for the sake of this one-shot, heâs asexual. Without further ado, on with the fic.)
You and Abed had been dating for 6 months, though the rest of the study group had only known for 4 months. However, since Troy was pretty much an expert in all things Abed, heâd figured it out within a couple of weeks.
Even after 6 months, not much had changed between you and Abed: you still spent hours watching TV together; you still built pillow forts and blanket forts together; and you still had deep, meaningful conversations with one another on occasion. Your friendship had never really been all that affectionate, save a few hugs and you accidentally falling asleep on his shoulder. Now you were in a relationship, the most you two did beyond the boundary of friendship was hold hands, briefly kiss and peck one another on the cheek and forehead every once and a while. If you were feeling up to it, or if either of you needed one, youâd share a hug, but none of that was all that common in your relationship. Sure, if you were having a movie night or something, youâd rest your legs on Abedâs lap or, if either of you were feeling down, absentmindedly use him as a teddy bear by wrapping your arms around is torso, but that was a fairly rare occurrence.
It didnât bother either of you, though.Â
Neither of you were all that affectionate anyway, and neither of you really felt as though you needed to prove your love for one another via affection. Of course, your friends, though supportive and happy for the both of you and accepting of your sexualities, viewed your relationship as pretty unconventional. Since you both acted so comfortable around one another, your relationship, on the surface, seemed to lack any true passion for one another. However, anyone who truly understood your bond with Abed would be able to see that your and Abedâs passion and caring was shown in unconventional ways. Abed had memorised so much about you and, though often inadvertently, showed off his knowledge of you at the most random of times. It wasnât to prove anything to you or anyone else, but the small smile on your face when he could recall some inane fact about you was always nice. On the other hand, you would spend hours watching movies and TV shows (even ones youâd never heard of) with Abed to make him happy.
Although you were both happy with your relationship, something had made Abed doubt your entire relationship and, most importantly, your satisfaction with it.Â
He could hardly remember how itâd started other than the fact that he had been sat with Jeff and Pierce in the cafeteria, though he could recall Jeff making a dry joke about your relationship, once Abed had finished a monotonous rant about why it was terrible that Disney was making a sequel to Star Wars.
âHavenât you vented enough about this to Y/N?â Jeff asked in an exasperated tone. He loved Abed; the pair had been close friends for years. However, there was only so much ranting about Star Wars he could take. Besides, he wasnât dating Abed; surely his partner wouldâve been more willing to listen to him lamenting, especially since you were obliged as Abedâs romantic partner to at least pretend to care about the stupid things he cared about? âCanât you get it out of your system with them?â
âTheyâre...asexuals or whatever they call themselves. They donât get anything out of their systems.â Pierce commented. âThey were probably sick of him before this Space Wars thing.â
âWhy would Y/N be sick of me?â Abed asked, voice still level.
âPierce, shut up.â Jeff said, shooting Pierce a glare.
âYou guys donât have sex; thatâs usually us normal peopleâs incentive to stay in a relationship, even if weâre miserable.â Pierce explained. âWhat do they get out of being in a relationship with you?â
Abed was so deep in thought that he was in a near-catatonic state. His mind was racing. Of course, he got a lot out of the relationship; he loved you, after all, and he felt loved by you. But, what did you get out of it? Neither of you were all that affectionate, but you were often the most affectionate out of the pair of you. Did you know that he loved you, or that he even remotely cared about you? Or, did you only stay because you didnât want to hurt him? How could he be sure that you actually got anything out of the relationship?
âPierce! Youâre such a dick!â Jeff practically hissed, slapping Pierceâs arm with the back of his hand. âWhyâd you say that?â
Pierce put his hands up in a defensive manner. âAlright, Seacrest; no need to get your panties in a bunch. The kid needed to hear it sooner or later.â He stood up and walked away, as if he didnât understand that heâd done anything wrong.
Abed remained fixed in his thoughts for a while after that, just sat in the cafeteria as the world passed him by. He hadnât noticed Jeff leave, nor had he felt the gentle pat on his shoulder as he left. It took you sitting opposite him for him to realise that it was time to go home.
âAbed? Iâve been waiting on the lawn for a half hour. Whatâs going on?â you questioned, your voice penetrating his mind. Jeff had told you that Abed had been in here since lunch, but thought Abed should tell you what had happened himself.Â
âNothing. Iâm fine.â Abed answered bluntly, though it didnât sound rude nor hurtful.
You nodded, formulating a response in your mind.
âWe need to go so that the night janitor doesnât chase us out again...â you explained, before pausing. You examined his face; he didnât make eye contact with you, eyes fixed on his lap. âDo you want me to just give you a ride home? You donât have to stay at my place if you need to be alone.â you added, understanding that something was wrong, but he wasnât quite ready to talk about it. You knew better than to pry into what was troubling him, so decided to wait until he brought it up himself.
âNo; itâs fine. Iâll stay at your place.â Abed answered in his usual monotone voice, though there was a hint of heart-breaking melancholy you could hear.
âOkay. Ready to go?â you said a little hesitantly, mustering a small, reassuring smile in an attempt to comfort both him and yourself. You had no idea what the hell you were doing, but if you pretended like you did, maybe Abed would be able to tell you what was wrong.
Abed nodded. You both stood up and walked towards the entrance to the cafeteria. You felt something warm and soft in your hand, and looked down to see Abed interlacing his fingers with yours.
âThatâs odd.â you thought to yourself. You and Abed had held hands before, but it wasnât as often as one might have thought. However, you knew better than to question Abed right now. Gently, you grazed your thumb over his knuckles in a soothing manner.
The drive back to your apartment was completely silent. Though Abed was often a quiet man, this silence was a little unnerving. Of course, youâd never force him to talk to you if he needed to just think in silence; that didnât mean that you werenât concerned about him.
As you arrived home, you unbuckled your seatbelt, but, before you could look over at Abed, he had leaned over and pressed a quick kiss to your cheek. Itâs not like you minded the sign of affection, but such a change in behaviour was pretty jarring and beyond worrying, considering how youâd found him in the cafeteria.
The abrupt contact flustered you, but you decided to appear unfazed. âSo...you want me to order some pizza?â you asked as you both got out of the car.
âSure.â Abed answered, albeit with his usual level of enthusiasm.
For the rest of the night, you observed Abedâs odd behaviour, attempting to figure out what could have brought upon this sudden wave of affection. Heâd hooked his arm around your waist when you were eating your pizza and watching a rerun of How I Met Your Mother, and offered you kisses on the cheek when you returned from the kitchen or bathroom.
It wasnât like you didnât appreciate the affection. You quite liked when Abed was affectionate. However, you were perfectly fine when Abed didnât shower you with signs of love. These levels of affection, especially for one evening, were unusual, and you knew that, at some point, youâd have to try and figure out what was going on with Abed. Any drastic change in Abedâs behaviour could probably be attributed to a bad experience heâd had, and, eventually, heâd end up breaking. You just needed to know what was wrong so you could talk through the problem and ease the pain of the breakdown just a little.
However, you had spent so long trying to figure out how to talk to him about what was going on that, before you knew it, you were tugging on your pyjamas and shuffling into bed beside Abed, who was lying on his back and staring at the dimly-lit ceiling, which was weakly illuminated by your bedside lamp.
As Abed glanced over at you, clearly about to move to either hug you or peck you on the cheek, you decided to talk.
âHey...um...Abed...if you wanna talk about whatâs been bothering you, we can talk now- if you want. You donât have to.â you practically stammered out.
âIâm fine.â Abed insisted, though you knew him well enough not to believe him.
âAbed, I know youâre not fine. I want to know whatâs wrong so I can help you...but...I donât want to force you to tell-â
âAre you happy with me?â
The question caught you off guard. It simultaneously shattered your heart and puzzled you.
âHuh?â you asked with knitted brows. âWhat would give you the impression that Iâm not happy with you?â
âPierce said-â
âPierce is a dick.â you instantly cut him off. âWhatever he said isnât true, okay?â You paused. â...What did he say?â
âHe said that, since we donât have sex, you donât have any reason to stay with me and that you donât get anything out of being in a relationship with me.â Abed said in his usual monotonous voice, but the hint of melancholy was prominent. You glanced over at him, then fixed your eyes on the wall in front of you.
âAbed, I love you, and I know you love me too.â you explained. âYou understand me better than I understand myself...and youâre always there for me no matter what. When Iâm sad...you donât try to get me to talk when Iâm not ready...you just sit and watch a movie with me...and thatâs what I need. Youâre what I need. Even if I could change that, I wouldnât because you make me happier than anyone ever has before.â
You glanced over at him. He was looking up at you with his usual resting face. However, you could see a hint of joy in his eyes, and that caused you to smile. You shuffled so that you were lying down and pecked Abed on the cheek. He smiled faintly and you wrapped your arms around his torso. You rested your head on his chest and you two lay there quietly, his eyes fixed on the ceiling and yours closed. As sleep overcame you, Abed gently planted a kiss on the top of your head, and a childlike grin spread across your tired face.
All trace of what Pierce had said dissipated from his tired mind, and he could drift off to sleep content that you were, in fact, happy with him.
You meet after the war, surprisingly through Draco Malfoy... well not really when you think about it, you are Astoriaâs best friend since Hogwarts even though you were a Puff
The two of you are still incredibly close so you were one of the first people that she introduces Draco to
It takes a while but the two of you click as well and at some point he decides he wants to set you up with a friend of his
You were pretty shocked when you find out itâs Blaise Zabini, just because he had a certain reputation as a âsex godâ when in reality he wasnât like that
Turns out he had mentioned to Draco one time that he was struggling finding someone to be in a relationship with since all the women he meets only want him physically and it really hurts him
Thatâs where you come in... you opened up to Draco about being asexual and the two of you definitely talked about what it means and the spectrum (after that Draco says that he feels like he is demisexual since the only person heâs ever had a sexual attraction to is his wife- anyway back to the story)
Since you value a personâs personality above all else, Draco was like âBlaise Iâve found a woman who wonât look at you just for sexâ
You are a bit very nervous to meet Blaise but once you do there is no turning back
The two of you talk about your dreams, your fears, your passions, your regrets basically everything and anything
You actually end up being kicked out of the restaurant because they needed to close yet neither of you wanted to stop so you end up walking around a bit until you find a 24-hr diner and stay there.
Neither of you realize how long itâs been until Draco shows up because itâs 3 in the morning and Astoria was starting to freak out since you hadnât contacted her
Of course you are both so tired and you might have add some alcohol that Draco declares (in his professional medical opinion) that you are both crashing over at the manor for the rest of the night
Turns out you both have guest rooms that you had unintentionally claimed as your own and they happen to be next door to one another
Still after everything you want to spend time with him, and for the very first time Blaise gets in bed with a woman only to talk and he really enjoys it
You just so happen to end up falling asleep in his arms, and when he wakes up the next day instead of escaping to his room he decides to stay with you which leads to you seeing how adorable Blaise is in the mornings
âGood morning,â you yawned out as you blinked your eyes a couple times adjusting to the light, âitâs nice seeing you still hereâ
Blaise smiled and blushed lightly at your statement, âwell why wouldnât I be hereâ then he grabbed you and pulled you closer into his body hiding his face in your neck
Realizing what he had done though (and remembering Draco explain asexuality to him- you were totally okay with him doing this btw) he backed away slightly, âsorry was that okay? I didnât want to make you uncomfortableâ
You merely brought your hands up to his face and returned his head to its original position
The two of you stayed there âtil rather late in the morning when Astoria finally decided to drag you out of bed
She was a bit surprised seeing the two of you wrapped up in each otherâs arms but seeing how relaxed you were she was happy, âCome on you lovebirds, you need to eat.â
It didnât take long for the two of you being together to become a common sight at the Malfoy Manor, I mean Blaise wanted to take this slow so it took awhile for him to even be open to the idea of going to your flat
At some point he even moved his stuff out of his guest room and into yours, which you were more than okay with
And I just realized that this became way longer than I was planning it to be but whateverrrrrr
