18+ riding your nerdy bf till his glasses fall off Ëâ·ÍÍÍÍâĄ
Thereâs something incredibly hot about riding your nerdy boyfriend until his glasses slide down his nose. Heâs usually so composed, always in button-ups, always with those cute wire-rimmed glasses perched on his face, always muttering about formulas or code or whatever heâs nerding out about that day. But right now? Heâs a complete mess.
Youâre straddling his hips, knees planted firmly on the mattress, riding him to the hilt. Every roll of your hips makes his thick length slide perfectly inside you, hitting that spot that makes you moan softly. His hands are gripping your thighs, fingers digging in like he needs something to hold onto.
âBabyââ he stammers, voice cracking. His glasses are already slipping, sliding down the bridge of his nose as his head tips back against the pillow. His cheeks are flushed, hair messy, lips parted as he tries (and fails) to keep his breathing steady. You smile down at him, grinding your hips in a slow circle, watching the way his eyes flutter behind the fogging lenses.
âYou look so cute like this,â you murmur, leaning down to kiss him. His glasses bump against your nose, but you donât care. You just keep riding him, faster now, taking him deeper. He moans into your mouth, hips jerking up to meet yours. One of his hands slides up your back, the other stays on your hip, guiding you as you bounce up and down on him.
âGod, you feel so good,â he breathes, voice shaky. âI canât- Iâm gonnaââ His glasses finally slip off completely, landing somewhere on the pillow beside his head. His eyes, those pretty, unfocused eyes, lock onto yours, wide and desperate.
You ride him harder, chasing your own pleasure while watching him fall apart underneath you. When you come, clenching tight around him, he follows right after with a broken groan, hips stuttering as he spills deep inside you.
Afterward, he lies there panting, glasses askew on the pillow, looking completely wrecked and blissed out. You lean down and kiss him softly, brushing his messy hair back from his forehead. He laughs breathlessly, wrapping his arms around you and pulling you down to his chest.

Valko asks it all casually, clacking away at his laptop as you sit on the couch, one of your legs right next to his shoulder, brushing it a bit.
He tries his best not to sink his teeth into the plush of your thighs, eyeing it as his cock starts throbbing. He tries so hard not to snatch your phone up and throw it, demand your damn attention, sniff you.
It's especially hard not to sniff you when you smell so fucking sweet, ruining him every time he is alone with you - which is often, given the assignment you two were on together. That and you have become friends, which he doesn't wanna fuck up with the wolfish way he wants to claim you.
Bite you, mark you, make you his.
Breed you-
"It's just Caleb," his eyes narrow behind his glasses now, looking right at you. "What? He is in town."
"Uh huh... Caleb," he repeats- he knows his ass is obsessed with you. Who could blame him, really? But you should be paying attention to him right now.
Not Caleb!?
"Well, what's he saying?"
"He was asking to come to dinner and... ah! Did you just bite me!?" He growls before he can stop himself, his teeth sunk into your thigh. You suck in a breath, smacking at him. "You bratty dog!"
"I am not a dog," he grumbles, smirking at the glittery teeth marks on your skin. "Tell him you are busy."
You blush when he sets down the laptop, spreading your thighs and kneeling, his ears twitching as he looks up at you - your heart hammers in your chest.
"Oh. Should I?" You tease, breathless when he slides his hands up. Sharp nails press against your delicate skin.
Leaning forward, he is far too close, inhaling your skin, breath against your inner thigh, making your pussy drenched.
"Valko..."
"Tell him. Now, sweetheart," he murmurs, done with pretending.
He needs you.
He can smell your juices, see the darkening of your panties when his pretty eyes flicker to your cunt. Pushing your thighs further, you drop the phone.
"Ah-ah," he bites your other thigh. Your hands come to tug on his fluffy ears, making his tail twitch side to side. Cock leaking. "Tell him you're busy."
"Fuck, okay," your shaky hand picks up the phone, your eyes getting lidded when his nose brushes your pretty pussy over those panties, you suck in a breath at it, fingers faltering. "mngh..."
"Tell him," he says in a soft little hum, inhaling you again, palming his cock to adjust it, feeling it swelling with how badly he wants to devour you. "If you wanna cum, you will."
"Fuck you're a brat," you mumble as he tugs you closer, shoving your knee up over his shoulder, nose inhaling your cunt again. "Are you gonna just sniff me !?"
"Till you answer," he sighs. "I could do this and cum."
"Freaky wolf, ah!" He bites your inner thigh, your juices just slippin' down further, in rivulets against his face, his glasses fogged up with his breaths. "F-fine."
Sorry Caleb - I'm busy tonight.
You show him the screen, and he smirks, a curve of his lips.
"Good girl."
Fuck.
Valko tugs your panties aside, looking at the mess your cunt is and moaning at the sight, tongue hot as it laps you from your ass to your clit, then back down, not just tasting - he's fucking lavishing you, spit soaked tongue dragging through your folds. "V-Valko I..."
"Good, good, good... good girl you're s-so... good," he's gripping you bruisingly now, slurping your messy, needy hole, the juices just pouring - his adam's apple bobs as he gulps you down, his glasses just slightly askew from the way he's drinking you. "Taste s'good... fuck..."
He could almost cum from the taste alone, greedily dragging his tongue from your slutty, quivering hole to that twitchy clit, all while you're gripping his hair with one hand, the other rubbing his ears. It feels so good as he lets you coat his taste buds, watching your eyes roll back in your skull.
You shatter so fast, but he's not even trying to make you cum - he just needs your taste, he needs your scent, biting your clit before he can stop himself, the action having you squirt right down him, all over his sweater and his collar. He laughs softly as you whine out, arching your hips, thighs quivering.
"Please... in me, mngh..." You see his slick face and blush, the dark mess you made on his sweater apparent as he takes it off, standing, his cock leaking through his sweats.
You go to touch him but you don't get a moment, he's got you turned and bent over the living room table, that sweater of yours gripped in his huge hands, claws ruining the material without him meaning to. He spits right on your cunt just to make it even messier, it's so wet she doesn't even need it, laughing as you arch, thighs shaking.
The phone goes off.
Valko hums a bit, looking at the message.
"Aww... he misses his 'pips'. Cute," Valko laughs, lost now - he's not the goofy little jerk you're used to, not when he's lining his reddened tip with your hole - no, he's feral. "Should we show him how you're doin'? Hmm, sweetheart?"
"N-no, psycho," you're wetter at the idea, and he notices, rubbing his tip up and down your slit, torturing you as you arch, begging for more. "In me, in me... in - ah!"
Valko slides his veiny, thick cock deep, his tail wrapping around his body and tickling you as he groans, head falling forward, that heavy weight pressing you down. He's as big there as he is everywhere, his grin against your skin felt before he bites your neck, shoving in fully.
"S'deep... you're..."
You're a babbling mess when he pins you there, twitching inside you, cock dragging your sweet spot and kissing it over and over again. You're a drooling mess the more he moves, the more his cock rocks in and out, thickening and swelling impossibly.
"Should call him, huh baby? Let him hear your cunt he wants s'fuckin' bad," Valko can't stand it then, thinking of anyone with the girl that should be all his, every instinct on fire. "All mine, yeah baby? Breed your messy cunt till you're all mine, can't even talk, can you?"
"Mhm," you're shattering when he fucks you faster, meaner, a hand on the table bracing himself as he bites your neck till blood drips, lapping it up so his lips are crimson, moaning against your skin. "Valko... please..."
"I'll give it all to you," he's sinking his teeth again - marking you his, ones he hopes last and last, as his cock is soaked, and your tacky walls are milking him. "Fill you so full, won't be able to see anyone, will you?"
You shatter with one more drag of his fat tip, and that's when it pushes him over the edge, his knot swelling as his cum fills you to the brim, coating your walls in white. He's biting your shoulder, your neck, your arm, everywhere he can, as that fat knot stretches you, hurting so bad you're in tears - but fuck it feels good.
"So much... s'much, V-valko..." you whimper as he moves that knot, kissing all the places he's marked you, moaning softly. His tail twitches as it tickles your skin, his ears curving down.
"Perfect, f-fuck you're so... oh baby I don't think it'll go down I..." He's never had this happen, not being able to calm it down, locked and knotted so thick in your tiny cunt. He keeps kissing you, moving back a bit, hearing your little sharp breath. "Want me to keep this cum plugged inside you? Hmm, breed you, baby?"
"Yes, yes," you're drooling, looking at him with dilated eyes, all covered in his marks. "K-keep it all.. in ... your knot it's so..."
"Mhm, I know baby," he's soothing you even as he rocks it in just an inch - back and forth, until he's pressing all his cum right against your puffy lil cervix.
You're cummin' again and again, but what you don't realize is...
Valko left Caleb all of that on a voice message </3
Clark who just loves being in you. He simply can't go too long without feeling your warm pussy around his cock.
First thing in the morning, he wakes up with his morning wood tenting his sweats. Sleepily, he reaches for you, spooning you and kissing across the side of your neck, causing you to stir from sleep.
Not ten minutes later, he's still spooning you as he sinks into you, groaning thickly as he feels your wet heat envelop him.
âFuck, your pussy is so tight, baby, she feels so good around me,â he grunts, his mouth against your ear. The thick mushroom head brushes against your cervix once he's all the way in.
You squirm, gasping softly as he fucks you, the thickness of him pressing right against your g-spot as he fills you perfectly.
After, his cum dribbles down your thighs while you two rush to get ready for work before you're late.
He can barely keep himself away from you in the office. His senses are constantly tracking you, listening to your heartbeat, smelling the sweet scent of your shampoo and your perfume, and it drives him insane.
He's half-hard in his pants most of the day until he can't control himself anymore. Taking advantage when everyone goes out for lunch, he drags you into the bathroom and is quick to bend you over the sink. His hands hastily hike your skirt up around your waist, exposing your ass and your pretty cunt, and he's quick to rub his fingers against your clothed folds.
God, he's missed your cunt.
It's not long before you're soaked and he's pushing his aching cock past your folds, stretching your fluttering hole around him.
He moans out a raspy, âAw, fuck,â as he sinks every inch into your pussy, stretching out your sensitive walls.
You mewl lowly, grabbing onto the edges of the sink to keep yourself upright. You look up at the mirror in front of you, meeting Clark's gaze in the reflection.
âLook how she takes me, baby,â he groans as he starts thrusting, dragging almost all the way out before pushing back in. âLook how good your pussy is for me, she's squeezing me so tight.â
The rest of the afternoon, you sit at your desk, squirming a little as the combination of your orgasms drips from you and gathers on your panties.
The second you're back home, Clark is all over you. His huge hands touch every inch of you he can reach as he walks you backwards to the bedroom.
And now that he's got time for more than a quickie, he makes the most of it.
He has you on your back for hours, your poor pussy fucked wide open, squelching every time his cock pushes in because you're just so wet.
Clark's mind is completely blank except for the feeling of your pulsing walls around him, sucking him in. He gives you orgasm after orgasm, making up for the quickies you've both had to settle for throughout the day, and simply enjoys how perfect your cunt fits him.
âIt's like she was made for me, honey,â he grunts, his hands finding purchase on the fat of your thighs and fondling them. âAll wet and warm and tight â I just wanna spend all my time in her.â
He's fucked you stupid now, so you can't do much beyond mewl and scratch at the skin of his arms as you try to hold on.
And fuck, Clark loves it. He knows it's probably a bit too much for you and that you're going to be sore after. But he also knows that, tomorrow, he's gonna do it all over again because he's just obsessed with your pussy <3

Shouto bites his fingers when heâs holding off on cumming.
He has the upper hand when heâs got you on your back, knees to your ears, or when youâre face down ass up. Generally, he controls the pace. Allows himself the chance to slow down when heâs too close, pulls out to let his cock twitch eagerly between his legs a few times and get ahold of his orgasm.
The same canât be said when you ride him.
His cock is so big in this position. Your palms stay braced on his muscled chest while he lounges against the pillows. Lifting your hips slowly, sitting down even slower, appreciating being stuffed full of Shouto.
Thereâs no change in speed. Just one smooth, steady rhythm. Fucking Shouto while he stares up at you with flushed cheeks and heavy lidded eyes, so very in love.
âBaby,â Shouto moans, drawing his legs up and planting his feet on the bed. He sighs, gently pushing his hips to meet you halfway each time. âI love this. Love when you ride me.â
You smile, lashes fluttering as his cock presses against your g-spot. âYeah? Me too. Youâre such a sweetheart, Sho.â
A soft, whiny moan falls from his mouth, goosebumps erupting along his chest and arms. One hand squeezes your waist and suddenly Shoutoâs middle two fingers are slipping between his lips, teeth digging into his knuckles.
Your pussy squeezes tight at the sight and his eyes roll, the next moan muffled as steam curls out the sides of his mouth.
Sweet heat builds in your belly, pulling you closer and closer to the intense high youâre on the edge of. Shoutoâs dick throbs. You circle your clit twice before thereâs a rush of heat that stills you above his lap, Shouto thrusting upwards to fuck you through the pleasure.
Shouto uses both hands to lift you with urgency until he slips free, dick wetly slapping his belly, cumming in glossy threads up to his collarbone with a broken moan.
You collapse on your back beside him, melting in the afterglow.
âHavenât seen you bite your fingers like that in awhile,â you tease, tilting your head to lock eyes.
âYeah. Half the time it doesnât work.â
âWhy did it this time?â
âYou werenât going to give me a break, and I really wanted to feel you cum first.â
Summary: When y/n finds out that her drink has been spiked she has no one to turn to but Dean, her enemy. Dean finding y/n knocking at his door in her barely conscious state brings up clashing feelings.
TW: having a drugged drink at a party
Word Count: 4.8K

The music could be heard from half a block away. The hockey house was already overflowing by the time Hannah and Y/N arrived, laughter spilling out the open front door along with the bass that rattled the porch railings. People crowded every room, cups clinked together, someone was yelling about beer pong in the kitchen, and the living room had already turned into a sea of strangers dancing shoulder to shoulder.
Hannah sighed dramatically, "I swear they invite the entire campus."
"They probably do," Y/N replied, smoothing an imaginary wrinkle from her dress.
She hadn't wanted to come. Not because she disliked parties. Because Dean Di Laurentis would be here. And Dean Di Laurentis possessed an almost supernatural ability to ruin perfectly good evenings.
Hannah nudged her shoulder. "Relax."
"I am relaxed."
"You've been glaring at the front door for thirty seconds."
"I'm mentally preparing."
"For Dean?"
Y/N rolled her eyes. "I'm mentally preparing for his ego."
Hannah laughed as they stepped inside.
Almost immediately, someone called Hannah's name from across the room. It was Garrett. He was standing near the kitchen island, waving her over with an easy grin.
"Go," Y/N said.
"You sure?"
"Yeah, girl, go talk to your boyfriend. I'm not going to spontaneously combust because you're talking to your boyfriend."
"You might if Dean starts talking."
"I'll survive."
"I sure hope you do."
Y/N shoved her lightly.
"Go."
Hannah laughed and disappeared into the crowd.
Y/N made her way toward the drink table, weaving through clusters of people she vaguely recognized from campus. She could feel eyes on her. Not in an uncomfortable way. Just... noticing.
She'd spent longer getting ready than she wanted to admit. Her hair fell in soft waves over one shoulder, and the dark emerald dress she wore hugged her just enough to make her feel confident without trying too hard. It was simple. Elegant and comfortable.
"You look hot," Hannah had declared.
"I look dressed."
"You look hot."
"I look like someone attending a party."
"You look like Dean's going to choke on his own tongue."
Y/N had snorted. "As if Dean Di Laurentis has ever been speechless in his life."
Apparently... Tonight might've been close. Across the room, Dean had been halfway through a conversation with one of his teammates when Logan abruptly stopped listening.
"Dude."
Dean barely looked at him.
"What?"
Logan nodded toward the front hall.
Dean followed his gaze and forgot what he'd been about to say.
"...Oh."
Logan smirked.
"Oh?"
Dean recovered almost instantly.
"So?"
"So" Logan echoed.
Dean shrugged.
"She cleans up okay."
Logan barked out a laugh. "Cleans up okay?"
"Yeah."
"You've been staring for like fifteen seconds."
"I absolutely have not."
"You absolutely have."
Dean tore his eyes away.
"I was observing."
Loganâs grin widened.
"Observing."
"Shut up."
He grabbed his drink and headed toward the kitchen before Logan could say anything else.
It was a coincidence. Entirely a coincidence that Y/N reached the drink table at the exact same time. She noticed him immediately. Of course she did. Dean Di Laurentis stood out in any room he walked into, whether she liked it or not. He leaned casually against the counter in a dark shirt with the sleeves rolled to his forearms, laughing at something one of the hockey guys said.
Then his eyes landed on her. The laughter stopped. For just a second. His gaze traveled from her heels... To the dress... To her face.
There was the briefest flicker of something she couldn't quite read. It disappeared so quickly she wondered if she'd imagined it.
Then the familiar smirk returned. "There she is."
Y/N sighed. "Hello to you too."
"I almost didn't recognize you."
"No?"
"Nah."
He tilted his head.
"Didn't think you owned anything that wasn't a sweater."
She smiled sweetly.
"And I didn't think you owned a shirt with sleeves."
A couple of people nearby chuckled.
Dean nodded once.
"Fair."
Y/N reached for a cup. "I'll cherish the compliment."
"I wasn't complimenting you."
"I know." She looked at him over the rim of the cup. "That would've been very out of character."
Dean laughed quietly. "You really think you're funny."
"I know I am."
"Hm."
He folded his arms.
"I think the dress is trying a little too hard."
The words landed harder than either of them expected. Y/N's smile faltered. Only for a heartbeat. She recovered so quickly that most people wouldn't have noticed.
Dean did.
"So does your personality," she replied evenly.
He smiled again.
"If I wanted my personality judged, I'd have dated an English major."
She stared at him.
"You know, for someone who's supposed to be good with teamwork, you're remarkably insufferable."
"And yet," Dean said with a shrug, "people still invite me places."
"So do people invite me."
He looked around theatrically.
"Really? I assumed Hannah brought you as emotional support."
There it was. The one that actually stung. Y/N's fingers tightened around her cup. She and Hannah had been inseparable since freshman year, and Dean knew it. He knew exactly which remarks would hit where they hurt.
She forced a laugh. "Don't flatter yourself."
"I'm not."
"You've clearly spent all week thinking of that one."
Dean smiled lazily. "Took me about three seconds."
"Must've been exhausting."
He stepped just a little closer.
"Not nearly as exhausting as pretending you're above everyone in this room."
Her eyebrows lifted. "I don't pretend. I just have standards."
Someone behind Dean let out an audible, "Damn."
Dean chuckled.
"There she is."
"What?"
"The real you. The one that thinks she's smarter than everyone."
Y/N held his gaze.
"I don't think I'm smarter than everyone."
"No?"
She smiled.
"Just you."
The surrounding group burst into laughter.
Dean's jaw tightened almost imperceptibly. He laughed too. But this time it didn't quite reach his eyes.
For a moment, neither of them spoke. The air between them felt strangely charged. Like the room had grown quieter despite the music still shaking the walls. Dean looked at her again. Really looked. The dress. The way she'd done her hair. The confidence she'd walked in with. She looked... beautiful. Annoyingly, unfairly beautiful. Which irritated him more than it should have.
So instead of saying the one thing that had unexpectedly crossed his mind: You look nice, He smiled that infuriating smile and said, "You know..." His voice was light. Almost conversational. "I guess if you were trying to distract everyone from your personality..." His eyes flicked down her dress once before meeting hers again. "...it almost worked.â
Silence.
This time, she couldn't hide it: the hurt. Dean continued, âI just wish Hannah wouldnât bring you along; itâs just a waste of space, you know. And itâs not like youâre gonna have fun,â he scoffed, âas if anyone would go for that,â he eyed her down, âI sure wouldnât, and you know damn well Iâm all over gorgeous girls all the time.â
The hurt flashed across her face before she buried it beneath a practiced smile. As much confidence as she carried, some words did take her back to high school, where everyone would just shatter and break her heart all around.
"So that's your best one tonight?" she asked quietly. "I expected more."
She stepped around him before he could answer. "Enjoy your party, Di Laurentis."
She walked away without looking back. Dean watched her disappear into the crowd.
Logan appeared beside him a second later. "What the hell was that?"
Dean didn't answer. Logan looked toward where Y/N had gone. Then back at Dean.
"You know..." he said slowly, "I think you just canât take your eyes off that dress.â
Dean frowned.
"What?"
Logan shook his head. "You looked at her like you forgot how to breathe. And then you immediately acted like an ass."
Dean scoffed.
"I always act like an ass."
Logan smirked, "Yeah, but usually it's because you think someone's annoying."
He looked toward the crowd where Y/N had disappeared.
"This time..." Logan clapped him on the shoulder. "I think it's because you're in trouble."
â
To forget the snarky comment, Y/n went in for a drink. Of course she looked gorgeous: her hair, her dress⊠everything was just breathtaking, but Deanâs words awakened some hidden insecurity that was resurfacing from high school.
Y/n was making her way to Hannah to ask her to leave the party, but she saw her and Garrett walk upstairs to Garrettâs room.
ShitâŠ
What kind of friend would she be if she interrupted their special time? She needed her friendâs support, but not at the cost of inconveniencing her. So she sighed and went back for yet another drink. There was no point in going home alone and suffocating in bed with resurfacing bitter memories. Y/n chose to drown those with more alcohol.
Y/N lasted exactly twenty-three minutes before she needed another drink.
Not because she'd had that much to drink. Because she needed something to do with her hands. Something to wash away the lingering sting of Dean's words.
She slipped into the kitchen, grateful to find it momentarily less crowded than the living room. She reached for a clean plastic cup. Ice. Lemonade. A splash of vodka.
She stared down into the drink for a second, hoping itâll help to stop thinking. Dean Di Laurentis had spent the better part of two years insulting her. She should've been immune by now.
So why had that one landed?
She let out a slow breath. Because this one remark hadn't been clever. It hadn't even been funny.
It had just been... Mean.
Then her racing thoughts were interrupted by a stupid comment: "You look like you're making a chemistry experiment."
She closed her eyes. Of course.
Without turning around, she said flatly, âDon't you have girls waiting in line for your attention?"
Dean walked up beside her anyway, grabbing an empty cup. "They'll survive."
He poured himself a drink, leaning casually against the counter.
Silence settled between them. It felt... different this time. Less like a game.
Y/N focused on dropping ice into her cup. Dean watched her from the corner of his eye.
She hadn't looked at him once. Not after earlier.
For reasons he couldn't explain, that bothered him.
"You know," he said, swirling his drink, "Logan thinks I was too hard on you."
She gave a small shrug.
"Good for Logan."
"So you're not gonna defend yourself?"
"I've learned it's usually a waste of energy."
That wasn't the answer he'd expected. He frowned.
"What?"
She finally looked at him. Her smile was polite. Almost painfully so.
"You've already decided who I am." Her voice was calm. "So why bother changing your mind?"
Dean looked away first. Something about that answer sat wrong. He covered it the only way he knew how.
"You know what your problem is?"
She sighed.
"Please. Enlighten me."
"You walk around acting like you're too good for everyone."
A tiny laugh escaped her.
"No."
"No?"
"I walk around trying not to care what people think."
He scoffed.
"That's adorable."
"It works most days."
"Clearly not tonight."
The words slipped out before he could stop them.
He saw it immediately. The way her shoulders stiffened. The tiny inhale she took.
He should've left it there. InsteadâŠ.
"I mean..." he said lightly, "you spent all that time getting dressed up." His eyes drifted over her outfit again. "And for what?"
She said nothing. Dean smiled, though it felt forced now.
"You really thought tonight was going to be different?"
The kitchen suddenly felt very quiet.
"You thought someone was finally going to notice you?" He laughed once. âI hate to break it to you..." His voice dropped just enough to make every word sharper. "But people are looking because they don't recognize you." He held her gaze. "Not because they're interested."
For a long moment, Y/N didn't move. Dean waited for the comeback.
She always had one. Always.
Instead she looked down into her cup. "Are you done?" Her voice was so quiet that it almost didn't sound like her.
Dean blinked. "What?"
"I asked..." She swallowed. "...if you're done."
He opened his mouth. Nothing came out.
She gave one small nod, as though answering herself.
"Okay."
No sarcastic remark. No eye roll. No smug smile. She simply picked up her drink.
"I hope, one day," she said softly, "someone speaks to you the way you speak to other people."
Dean's chest tightened. She looked at him one last time. Not angry. Not even upset. Just disappointed. Then she turned and walked away. Dean watched her disappear into the hallway. For some reason, he felt awful.
Y/n was so consumed in her thoughts and a need to get away that she shoved through a crowded hallway just to get outside. She didnât even notice the small splash... a splash that was made when someone dropped something into her drink.
Some guy tossed a pill into her cup with an easy flick of his wrist. It landed with a tiny splash before sinking beneath the ice.
"There." He snorted. "Let's see how long it takesâŠ"
A couple of people laughed.
Y/n was already outside, sitting on an empty chair she found. Still replaying Dean's words in her head, she wrapped her fingers around the cup.
Y/N looked down at the cup for only a second. Then, she took a sip of the drink and then another one, unaware of what happened nearly thirty seconds ago.
â
Dean had never hidden from one of his own parties. Usually, he was the reason they stayed alive. If the music got louder, it was because Dean wanted it louder. If another game started in the kitchen, it was because Dean had convinced everyone to play. If people were laughing, chances were he was somewhere in the middle of it. He thrived in rooms like this. Crowded. Loud. Chaotic. Easy.
Tonight everything felt just a little off. He wandered back into the living room, weaving through people who greeted him with pats on the shoulder and shouted greetings over the music.
"Dean!" Someone shoved a red cup into his hand. He accepted it automatically.
Another guy pulled him into a conversation about next week's game. Dean answered. Mostly he just nodded in the right places, made the occasional sarcastic comment, and even laughed once.
But his attention kept drifting. His eyes searched the room without meaning to. Not looking for anyone in particular. Just... looking.
He caught himself glancing toward the hallway. Then toward the kitchen. Then the staircase. His eyebrows pulled together. What was he doing? He took a long drink instead.
"Dean." A familiar voice.
He turned. A blonde girl smiled up at him, already standing much closer than necessary.
"I've been trying to find you."
"Have you?"
"Mhm."
She reached up, smoothing an imaginary wrinkle from the front of his shirt.
"I thought maybe you disappeared."
Dean looked down at her hand.
Then back up.
"Huh."
She laughed.
"I was wondering if you wanted to dance."
Normally? He would've said yes without thinking.
She was pretty and confident. Exactly the kind of girl who usually made parties more interesting.
Instead his answer caught in his throat. "I..."
For some reason, the image that popped into his head wasn't the blonde standing in front of him.
It was emerald green, the color of Y/nâs dress.
A quiet voice that never seemed to leave his thoughts got louder, âI hope, one day, someone speaks to you the way you speak to other people.â
He blinked. "Maybe later."
The girl looked surprised.
"Oh." She recovered quickly. "Okay."
She disappeared back into the crowd.
Dean watched her go.
That was⊠weird.
He took another sip.
Someone cranked the music even louder. The living room erupted into cheers. Someone started chanting his name from across the room. Usually, he'd be over there already. Instead, he stayed exactly where he was.
"Dean!" Another voice.
This time, a brunette. She slipped easily into his space, smiling like they'd known each other forever.
"You owe me a rematch in pong."
"Do I?"
"You destroyed me last weekend."
"I probably did."
She laughed, looping an arm through his.
"You sound thrilled to see me."
Dean looked at her.
She was gorgeous. Dark hair. Bright smile.
One of the girls who always seemed to show up whenever there was a hockey party.
She squeezed his arm playfully.
"So?"
"So?"
"The rematch."
Dean looked toward the dining room where everyone was gathered around the table.
Then looked back at her.
"I think I'll pass."
Her smile faltered.
"You... don't want to play beer pong?"
"Not really."
She laughed like he was joking. When he didn't laugh back, she slowly let go of his arm.
"Okay..."
She walked away looking thoroughly confused.
Dean was, too.
What the hell?
He never turned down beer pong.
He frowned into his cup. Something was wrong with him. He wandered onto the back deck. Fresh air. That would help. Except it didn't.
He saw Y/n. After the past two encounters, he didnât feel like going at it again. He couldnât even ignore her and go on about his day and enjoy the party.
He wandered back inside, weaving through strangers who moved aside automatically when they recognized him.
Someone called after him. "Dean! Take a shot!"
He waved without looking.
Another voice.
"Dean, come dance!"
He ignored it.
A hand caught his wrist.
He turned. Another girl. She smiled brightly.
"You've been avoiding me all night."
"Sorry."
She stepped closer. "You can make it up to me."
Usually, he'd flirt back. Usually, this part was effortless. She reached up, fingers brushing lightly over the back of his neck. Dean felt... nothing.
Not even annoyance.
Just... Nothing.
"I'm actually heading upstairs."
Her smile slipped.
"Oh."
He gently untangled her hand from his arm before continuing toward the staircase.
Halfway up, he stopped.
He looked down.
The entire house stretched beneath him.
Music. Laughter. People dancing. Friends shouting across rooms. Girls smiling at him every time he looked their way. It was everything he'd always enjoyed. Everything that had always been enough.
Tonight it wasn't.
He ran a hand through his hair. "What the hell..." The words came out barely above a whisper. No answer came.
He climbed the rest of the stairs. His bedroom door clicked shut behind him, muffling the music until it became nothing more than a dull pulse through the walls.
Silence.
Dean leaned back against the door.
He stared at the ceiling for a long moment. Then laughed once. A humorless sound.
"If anyone ever finds out I'm hiding in my room during my own party..." He shook his head. "They'll never let me live it down."
He tossed his phone onto the bed before sitting beside it. For the first time in years, the party downstairs held absolutely no appeal.
He couldn't explain it. Couldn't fix it. Couldn't even name it.
All he knew was that every laugh downstairs sounded too far away. And every time he closed his eyes, he saw a pair of hurt eyes and heard a quiet voice asking, "Are you done?"
â
Outside, the party only seemed to get louder.
Someone had turned the music up again. Cheers erupted from the living room, followed by the unmistakable crash of something breaking and a chorus of laughter that suggested nobody particularly cared.
Y/N stood in the middle of it all.
She couldn't hear herself think.
At first, she assumed it was the music.
Then she realized the room itself had started to move.
She frowned.
The people around her blurred together for half a second before snapping back into focus.
"Weird." She blinked hard.
Maybe she'd stood up too fast.
She lifted her cup to take another sip, but stopped halfway. Her stomach rolled unpleasantly.
No.
Something wasn't right. She lowered the cup.
The bass thudded through the floor beneath her feet, each vibration making the dizziness worse.
Someone bumped her shoulder as they squeezed past.
Normally, she would've stumbled a step and laughed it off. Instead, her knees almost gave out. She caught herself on the edge of a nearby table.
"Oh..." A whisper .Barely audible. "...Oh, no."
Another wave hit. The room tilted sharply to the left before correcting itself.
Y/N squeezed her eyes shut.
Okay.
Okay, breathe.
When she opened them again, the crowd seemed even bigger somehow.
Too many people.
Too much noise.
Too little air.
Her fingers tightened around the plastic cup until it crumpled.
"Oh, shit."
Her voice trembled.
"Oh, shit..."
She looked down at the drink in her hand.
Without another thought, she walked to the nearest trash can and dumped the rest of it out before tossing the cup after it.
She needed Hannah.
That thought came immediately.
Hannah.
She'd know what to do.
Y/N turned toward the hallway.
Then remembered.
Garrett had quietly stolen Hannah away almost twenty minutes ago.
Garrett had simply grinned, taken Hannah's hand, and led her upstairs.
Privacy.
Right.
Y/N swallowed.
She couldn't exactly burst into Garrett's room.
Absolutely not.
Her breathing grew uneven.
The hallway stretched farther than she remembered.
Another wave of dizziness crashed over her so suddenly she reached for the wall. Her palm slapped against it. Her fingers trembled against the old drywall.
Think.
Who else?
Her parents? No way, she was far away in college, what would her parents even do? Fuck.
An ambulance?
No.
That sounded more stupid. Who calls an ambulance to a party?
No, no...
She wasn't even sure what was wrong.
She just... She just needed someone.
Someone she knew.
Her thoughts landed on a name she never would've expected.
Dean.
She almost laughed.
It would've been funny under different circumstances.
Dean Di Laurentis.
The same Dean who'd spent the entire evening trying to make her miserable. The same Dean who'd looked her dead in the eye and told her no one would ever be interested in her.
She hated him.
He was an ass.
Cocky.
Infuriating.
Meaner than he realized.
But...
He would never hurt her in a way bunch of guys in this party would if they found her in this state.
Her drink has been spiked, she thought, and whoever it was was bound to show up sooner or later. She needed to get away.
She knew that with complete certainty.
Her feet were already moving.
The staircase looked impossibly steep. By the third step, her legs felt strangely disconnected from the rest of her body.
Come on.
One more.
She gripped the railing so tightly her knuckles turned white. The music downstairs faded with every step upward, replaced by the pounding of her own heartbeat.
Halfway up, her vision blurred again. She stopped. The stairs shifted beneath her.
"No..."
She squeezed the railing harder.
"You are not passing out." As if scolding herself would be any help.
Another breath.
Another step.
Then another.
By the time she reached the second floor, she was breathing like she'd run a marathon.
Dean's door.
End of the hallway.
So close.
She took one step. Then another.
Her foot caught slightly against the carpet.
She stumbled, catching herself against the wall.
The hallway spun. "Oh, God..."
Everything suddenly felt so far away.
She finally reached Dean's door, raised her hand and knocked.
â
Inside, Dean didn't move.
He stared absently at the ceiling from where he sat on the edge of his bed.
The music downstairs had become little more than a dull vibration through the walls.
A knock sounded.
Dean sighed.
Without getting up, he called toward the door.
"Occupied."
Silence.
Good.
Probably another couple looking for somewhere quiet.
Not happening.
He leaned back against the headboard again.
Another knock.
More insistent this time.
Dean pinched the bridge of his nose.
"I said go away."
Nothing.
ThenâŠ. a heavy thud. Like something, or someone had fallen.
Dean's head snapped toward the door. Every trace of annoyance disappeared. He was on his feet before he'd even realized he'd stood.
He yanked the door open. And froze.
Y/N laid crumpled just outside his room. One hand still stretched weakly toward the doorframe. Her hair had fallen across part of her face. She looked frighteningly pale.
"What theâŠ" Dean dropped to his knees instantly. "Y/N?"
She stirred. Barely. Her eyelids fluttered open just enough to find him. For a second, she simply looked at him. Like she was trying to make sure she'd found the right room.
"What the hell are you doing here?" he asked, the question coming out much sharper than he'd intended.
Was he angry? No.
Panicked? Confused? Terrified? Yes.
"I..." she whispered. Her voice was so quiet he almost missed it. "I know..." She swallowed with visible effort. "I know you hate me enough not to try anythingâŠâ
Her eyes began slipping shut.
Dean's expression shattered.
Her arm gave out beneath her. Her body pitched sideways.
"Y/N!"
He caught her before she could hit her head.
Dean held her; one arm around her shoulders, the other catching her legs awkwardly before lowering her carefully against him.
"Hey, hey, hey." His voice had changed completely. Every ounce of sarcasm was gone. Every trace of arrogance vanished. Raw panic replaced all of it.
"Look at me." Her head lolled weakly against his shoulder. "Y/N."
Nothing.
"Come on."
Her eyes opened halfway. Just enough.
"There you are."
His hand came up instinctively, brushing loose strands of hair away from her face. She looked exhausted. Not sleepy. Drained. Like staying conscious required more effort than she had left.
"What happened?"
She blinked slowly and closed her eyes.
Dean's heart slammed painfully against his ribs. He tried to control his shaking hands.
"What did you have to drink?"
She frowned.
"...just..." Another slow blink. "...not much..."
"Did you hit your head?"
A tiny shake. "No."
"Did somebodyâŠ" His voice caught. He couldn't even finish the question. Y/N looked at him, and nodded.
"I think so..." Her breathing hitched. And she fully closed her eyes.
Deanâs eyes widened. He was trying to hide his panic.
"Okay." He nodded quickly. "Okay."
He wasn't okay. Not even close. But she needed him calm.
"I've got you."
He slipped one arm beneath her knees and the other behind her back. She was lighter than he'd expected. Too light.
She instinctively curled toward his chest as he lifted her. Her forehead rested weakly against his shoulder. Dean carried her inside as though she might break.
The bedroom door swung shut behind them. He crossed to the bed immediately. He lowered her carefully onto the mattress, supporting her head until it rested against the pillow.
She shivered. Without thinking, Dean tugged the comforter over her. He crouched beside the bed.
"Stay with me." He shook her slighly so sheâd stay conscious. Y/N looked at him through half-lidded eyes.
"I'm trying."
"I know." His voice cracked. "I know."
She reached for him without really meaning to. Her fingers brushed weakly against his wrist. Dean took her hand immediately. Firm. Steady.
"I'm here."
Her grip was almost nonexistent. She still didn't let go as she closed her eyes one last time to sleep off the drugâs effect.
Dean looked at her. Really looked at her. She was unconscious and laying in his bed. A dark thought crossed his mind. She could have not made it to his room and right now⊠God knows what would have happened.
She'd climbed the stairs. Walked through an entire house full of people. Passed countless rooms. And somehow she'd come here, to him. And out of all people he chose him not because she trusted him, but because she thought he hated her enough not to try anything another filthy guy would.
A lump settled painfully in his throat.
Y/nâs eyes opened slowly, she was in and out of consciousness.
"I'm here." Dean whispered.
Her breathing slowed again. Her eyelids drooped lower.
"No, no."
Dean gently squeezed her hand.
"Don't fall asleep again, not yet."
"Tired."
"I know."
"Just..." Her words were fading.
He leaned closer. "Stay awake a little longer for me."
She tried.
God, she tried.
He could see it.
The effort it took just to keep her eyes open.
Eventually she looked at him one last time. Really looked. Like she wanted to make sure he was still there. Then, satisfied, her fingers loosened around his hand. Her breathing evened out. Her face relaxed for the first time since he'd opened the door.
"Y/N?"
No answer.
Just the quiet rhythm of sleep.
Dean stayed exactly where he was.
Still holding her hand. Still watching the slow rise and fall of her chest. As if looking away, even for a second, might somehow let something happen to her.
Downstairs, the party raged on. People laughed. Music shook the walls. Someone cheered loud enough for the sound to carry upstairs. Dean didn't hear any of it. His entire world had narrowed to the girl asleep in his bed and the sickening realization that she chose him to be her safe place due to every cruel thing he said to her, because in y/nâs eyes Dean hated her.

In the beginning, Jason was apprehensive about you. You who approached him first, completely unprompted, at your favorite coffee shop. All red and fidgety with nerves when you asked him for his number.
At first he was sure it was a trap, someone sent sweet, unassuming you to catch him off guard. Try and trip him up then get him when heâs unprepared and vulnerable. After all, regular people didnât just walk up to Jason on purpose to ask him anything, let alone on a date. Jason knew he didnât really give off dinner and a movie vibes.
Still, something about you drew him in. Maybe it was the overwhelming normalcy of you. Your outfit was overly-casual, like one of those too-late-in-the-week-to-care outfits when it was only Tuesday. You had a kind of anxious, hurried jitteriness to you that screamed that late-for-everything-college-student vibe.
With your bag slung over your shoulder, bursting with notebooks, textbooks, and stray paper, and your iced-coffee orderâs condensation beginning to soak your hands, you werenât extraordinarily beautiful, or blindly radiant, or mysterious like you were hiding a million secrets from the world. You were just any other twenty-something year old running late for her morning classes.
You were also beginning to tense from Jasonâs continued silence, embarrassment overwhelming your body language.
Just as you begin to open your mouth, laugh it off and go about your day pretending like you wonât be thinking about the most beautiful boy youâve ever metâs hard rejection of you at your favorite coffee place (which youâd never be able to return to again) for the next thirty years of your lifeâhe agreed.
With eyes narrowed in suspicion Jason gave you his number, telling himself it was only to figure out whoâs ploy this was and what they wanted with him.
Well, Jasonâs investigation lasted eight dates before becoming an official label. And somewhere between the meeting your family and the engagement to marriage pipeline, Jason had to admit you might have really just wanted his number.
Jason was unlike anyone youâd ever met, just like youâd known the second you laid eyes on him. He was rugged and rough around the edges in a charming way. Confident and unwavering at one minute, and then second guessing and completely stumbling over himself the next. When it came to you, he was so unsure about everything. Afraid his touch might break you into a million pieces, and his scarsâliteral and figurativeâwould scare you away. All he knew was he could not mess this up.
Jason was pretty closed off when you first started going out. He hid secrets you couldnât begin to decipher and told lies like a priest spreads the gospel. It took a while to crack him open, but when you did the damage was irreparable.
You confronted him one night about his coming and goings at unholy hours of night and morning. It was not too long after the two of you moved in together. It was getting near impossible for him to hide the bruises from you now, and the anxiety of not knowing where your boyfriend was disappearing to kept you up all night.
You wanted to give Jason his privacy, just let the sickening feeling coiling in your stomach slowly eat away at you. Keep it locked up snug and tight. But, one too many sleepless nights and you broke like an old dam under distress.
Tears and flurried words and too many feelings for you to keep up with all came rushing out when he stumbled back into your shared apartment one night smelling of blood, sweat, and something feminine. You asked if he was in some kind of trouble, or if there was someone elseâif he didnât want to be around you anymore that was totally fine, but at least let you know before you get into this too deepâ
Jason cut off your rambling with a bone-crushing hug, tripping over his own words in a hurry to reassure you. The thought of losing you enough of an adrenaline rush to have him forgetting about any injuries he may have procured and his heart feeling like it just might implode in his chest.
And then Jason broke too. He told you the truthâabout everything. His nighttime activities moonlighting as Gothamâs vigilante slash crime lord, his history, his family. He spoke of the monsters he fought day in day out, the sacrifices he often had to make to keep a temporary peace in his cityâoften times those sacrifices having to be pieces of himself.
He told you about you, how you were his sanctuary. A reminder of what he fought for. Your innocence and light. You were no saint by any means, but youâd never be able to accumulate half the sin just he had on his hands in four lifetimes. You were there to remind him that there was still good worth fighting for in the world. He couldnât bear the thought of losing you.
He then apologized profusely for lying to you, and you could never stay mad at him for long anyway. However, to make up for it (on his insistence) you did make him tell you the civilian identities of all your favorite heroes. A fair trade, youâd say.
Which now brings Jason here. Married, paying off a monthly mortgage, attending Thanksgiving and Christmas parties at your familyâs house, waving to neighbors at ungodly hours of the morning as he walked your dog, and soon expecting a little one of his own.
Yeah, it definitely wasnât what four-years-ago-Jason wouldâve imagined himself as either, or even further back than that Jason. He wouldnât trade a second of it for the world.
Heâd like to say a part of him was reluctant to tell his family of your guysâ relationship because theyâd disapprove, and that was why they didnât know. Saying something like you two were rushing into things and that you had no business being in their line of work due to the dangers. But, in all reality, even after Jason had started to rekindle his relationship with his family and see them more often, heâd justâŠforgotten.
To tell anybody, really. His family, his friends, he just thought at some point he had told people and they just never mentioned itâthere was no way the people he surrounded himself with wouldnât be able to find out. So, they had to have just no interest in you two, right?
Wrong. Apparently. Jason found out this fact firsthand.
Jason didnât wear his wedding ring while at work, for obvious reasons. Some of the most notable being, it wasnât very practical nor was it anyoneâs business what the Red Hoodâs love life was like. Plus, he didnât want it to get dirty or risk losing it. He often opted out of wearing it all together deciding the best course of action is to leave it at home, however that night had been different.
Patrol had ended early one night, something Jason was rather irked by considering heâd rushed here from out of town visiting your family due to a false alarm âemergencyâ. Heâd had to leave you behind and wouldnât be able to see you for another week, as the excuse heâd given your family was supposed to be long-term and he refused to let you cut your visit short.
He, along with the other assorted members of Gothamâs vigilantes, ended up back in the Batcave. Jason sat by himself, off to the side where he was not sulking, andâmore importantlyâwhere you were not answering his messages.
Dick waltzes up to Jason, who doesnât even acknowledge his presence, and flops down on the couch next to him, throwing his legs over Jasonâs body and making a show of getting comfortable.
Jason glares at him over the screen of his phone and roughly shoves Dickâs feet off of him, promptly turning his attention back to his phone.
Dick cocks a brow. Jason had been particularly quiet and prickly tonightâand he means even more than usual.
It wasnât uncommon for Jason to be in a bad mood, especially around them, but in recent years heâd been better. Heâd started to actually spend time with themâeven outside patrol, reaching out first occasionally, and they could go several hours without him blowing up and storming off! All in all, Dick wouldnât call Jasonâs behavior unusual, just odd for it to be tonight of all nights.
âWhatâs so interesting?â Dick asks, nosiness curiosity getting the better of him. He switches his position, instead draping himself over Jason, who was still glued to his phone, and trying to peek at Jasonâs screen.
âNone of your business, dickhead!â Jason snaps, trying to push Dick away from him.
âWhat? What is it? Come on! I want to see!â Dick says insistently, chuckling as Jason gets more and more riled up. They wrestle for a moment, Jason outright childishly holding his phone up in the air, away from Dick, as Dick tries to grasp for it but is stopped by Jasonâs hands and feet pushing him away.
âIs it something naughty?â Dick teases, mock gasping. âIs that why you wonât show me, Jason? Are you being a bad boy?â
âShut up! You weirdo!â
Dick howls with laughter as Jason all but tackles him to the floor once Dick gets ahold of his phone. They continue their roughhousing, Dick trying to unlock Jasonâs phone screen as Jason fights to get it back. However, Dick has rolled onto his stomach now, and hunches over the phone moving this way and that to prevent Jason from seizing it back. Their commotion draws over the other inhabitants of the cave.
Jasonâs phone is snatched from Dickâs hands, Jason lunges after it but is held back by Dick.
âDonât let him get it, Dami!â Dick says, a wild grin on his face and breathing harshly from laughing so hard.
Damian stands in front of them, Jasonâs phone in his hand as he gives the phone a suspicious look. The lock screen is a picture of a woman, her back to the camera as she looks out at the setting sun across the ocean with her hand atop a dogâs head sitting obediently at her feet. Damian raises a brow slightly at this, but opts not to mention it. It wasnât any of his business what Jason found aesthetically pleasing, after all.
He instead turns back to the real objective at hand: making Jasonâs life miserable.
âWhat is that youâre hiding, Todd?â Damian demands, not asks. âGive it up now and save yourself the trouble. I will find out, one way or another.â
âIâm not hiding anything!â Jason says, irritated. He technically wasnât lying. He wasnât intentionally hiding anything from them. He was simply waiting for a very important message from you that he didnât want to miss because of his annoying, asshole siblings.
Damian clicks his tongue, not believing Jasonâs words. He crosses his arms and holds the phone out to his left, handing it over to Tim who starts examining it top to bottom.
Jason rolls his eyes, âYou guys are making such an unbelievable deal out of this. Itâs just a phone!â
âNuh uh!â Dick ever-so-helpfully cuts in, his grin still having not left his face as he holds onto Jason even though Jason had stopped struggling. âItâs a phone you donât want us to see! Which makes it much, much more than just a phone.â
Jason rolls his eyes harder, if thatâs even possible, and attacks Dick again. This time just for Dick being obnoxious.
Tim continues to look over the phone with a critical eye. The case is a black otterbox, the lock screen the picture of a woman and a dog, and a basic numbered password locks the phone. Overall, nothing stands out to him. No secret mechanics or buttons. Well, nothing but the fact that this was definitely not the phone Jason used around them.
That was nothing too shocking though, they all had secret phones. Except the other fact that this one seemed to be the personal one, not the work one.
Okayâmaybe Jason was hiding one little thing from them, but hiding his personal number from them was nothing egregious.
âA secret phone?â Cass says as she looks over Timâs shoulder, a smirk on her face and a conspiring glint in her eyes.
âSeems like it.â Tim replies, ignoring Jason and Dickâs squabbling, a twin smirk on his mouth.
âOpen it, Drake!â Damian says impatiently, smacking Timâs arm repeatedly.
âAlright, alright! Stop it!â Tim shakes Damianâs hand off and tries to unlock the phone. He first tries numerous combinations of numbers he knows Jason would use to try and trip them up, but they donât work. Tim frowns.
Of course they didnât work, the password was your birthday. But Jason would never use something so simple as a birthday as a password, right? Not that they knew your birthday, anyway.
Jason made it easy for you. He never used his personal phone for anything other than you and the civilian side of his life, anyway.
Usually, he never carries his personal phone with him while heâs at work, much like his wedding ring, and he would never give you his work phone contact to potentially have your number compromised if his phone is ever stolen while heâs out at night. All he has installed on your phone while heâs out is a panic button, itâs made to alert him immediately on any of his devices of your location once itâs activated.
Tonight, though, in his rush heâd kept his personal phone on himâand thank god for it otherwise heâd be bored out of his mind, stuck in the batcave with only his family to keep him company. Well, up till you stopped replying of course.
Tim tries four more passwords before the phone shuts him out for a two minute cool-down. Tim grumbles deep in his throat, starting to get irritated himself.
âJason, what is it?â Tim grumbles, tapping his foot insistently waiting for the two minutes to finish up. âWhatâs the password?â Jason doesnât answer, too caught up with getting out of Dickâs headlock.
âTry one-two-three-four.â Cass suggests.
âWhy would it be one-two-three-four?â Tim asks, exasperated. Cass shrugs. Tim sighs.
Jasonâs phone suddenly dings with a notification, the sound drowned out by the surrounding chaos. Still, it cuts through the cacophony of noise to Jason like a siren.
âMessage from âbaâââ Tim starts to read. Jason leaps off of Dick, his brother yelping as heâs trampled under Jasonâs feet.
His heart soared when he saw your name on his screen. His shoulders loosens and his face softens, his heart beats a million miles an hour as he taps to open the message. However, his demeanor quickly sours once again once he sees heâs locked out for another forty-two seconds.
Cassâ brows rise imperceptibly as she watches Jasonâs body language rapidly change, seemingly going unnoticed by their brothers. She grins and studies Jason closely, thoroughly intrigued now.
She cocks her head, that sly grin still splayed across her lips, and approaches Jason. She peeks over at his phone screen that he alternates from glaring at to Tim and back.
âWho is it?â She asks in a whisper, like they were trading secrets under a comforter way past their bedtime. She hangs over Jasonâs arm, trying to get a look at the message as the timer ticks closer to zero, before sheâs pushed out of the way by Damian.
âWhat? What is it?â Damian demands. âI want to see.â He tugs down at Jasonâs arm, trying to move it out of the way and snatch the phone back.
Cass pushes Damian back and retakes her spot, Damian doesnât take kindly to that and soon theyâre having an all-out tug of war with Jasonâs forearm.
Jason tries to push them both off, but heâs quickly bombarded by his plethora of siblings. Dick finally gets up off the floor with a groan and drapes himself over Jasonâs back, and Tim takes a spot hanging over Jasonâs other open arm. His siblingsâ voices all overlap one another as they continuously get louder trying to speak over the others, making it nearly impossible to pinpoint what one is saying. However, if Jason had to guess, the gist of it all was them wanting to know what was on his phone.
âWould you idiots calm down?!â Jason shouts over them, though it does little to quell their mayhem. However, once he ever-so-casually drops that itâs just you messaging him, that gets them to freeze and the cave suddenly goes dead silent.
Jason rolls his eyes, finally squeezing out of his siblingsâ grasps and walking back over to the couch he was previously sitting on. All the while, Dick, Cass, Tim, and Damian stare after him in utter confusion, Jason doesnât even notice their puzzlement.
The four share looks with each other, looking to one another for answers but coming up short each time.
âUhâŠâ Tim finally speaks up, âWho?â
Jason repeats your name absentmindedly, like itâs one he says on a regular basis. Like it was one they were supposed to know.
This also catches the attention of Bruce, whoâd previously been sitting at the batcomputer ignoring his childrenâs rambunctiousness. The four kids glance back at him for answers, but he has no answer for him.
âRight.â Dick says, walking over to Jason who was almost giddily tapping away at his phone, completely unaware of their odd behavior. âAndâŠwho is that again?â
Dick chuckles awkwardly, trying to gently coax an answer out of Jason. He leans over the back of the couch and peers at Jasonâs phone with his siblings joining him, no resistance from the younger man this time.
However, that seemed to be the wrong thing to ask as Jason whirls around to glower at Dick, pure disbelief and outrage on his face like Dick had just committed the most heinous of crimes.
âAre you serious?â Jason asks, tone hard and deadly. âMy wife, jackass?â
Jason scoffs and turns away from Dick, and Dick notices for the first time that night Jasonâs fiddling with the necklace strung around his throat. The necklace with a wedding ring hung from it, the inside of the ring engraved with âMr & Mrsâ followed by initials of two names, one he knew as Jasonâs and the other hyphenated, and a date. A wedding date if Dick was so bold to assume.
The cave was now so quiet Dick could swear even the resident bats had stopped to settle into absolute shock. He could practically hear Timâs jaw drop to the floor.
Also for the first time that night, Dick got a good view of Jasonâs phone screen. Jason was scrolling through a chat on his messages app;
âbaby đđâ:
sorry!! I got caught up in a poker tournament (ááŁá)Ő

Dick watches in stunned silence as Jason replies to each message, taking time to reply to the person saved as âbabyâ with a heart and ring in his phone that texts with emoticons, with care and attention.
Dick thinks he nearly falls to his knees with a heart attack when he sees the images sent to Jason were baby cribsâand heâs pretty sure Bruce actually does when he hears a strangled gasp to his left. He hadnât even noticed when the man had come up and joined him and the others, but there he stands mouth agape and his skin a worrying pallor.
âToddâŠâ Damian is the first to break the silence. His voice barely above a whisper at first, though he might as well have just set off a hydrogen bomb.
âYou have a wife?!â The boy screeches, voice raising an octave in disbelief.
âSince when?â Cass asks next, in complete disarray.
âSince how?â Tim chimes in, eyes nearly bulging out of his head trying to piece some puzzle together.
âJasonâŠâ Bruce says breathlessly, the quietest among them sans Dickâs abstaining, the gears in his head working overtime trying to figure things out. His brow furrowed and his eyes rapidly blinking, he looks almostâŠhurt.
Jason looks at them all quizzically, almost appearing as confused as them though Dick is positive that is impossible.
âWhat? What are you morons talking about?â Jason asks, his demeanor truly lost.
âWhat are you talking about?â Dick canât help but throw his question back at him. He feels his legs starting to get shaky and he has to sit down.
âIâve been married.â Jason says as if heâs stating the sky is blue.
âJasonâŠIâwhy didnât youâwhen didââ Possibly for the first time ever Dick witnesses Bruce at a loss for words. No contingency plan existed for missing your sonâs wedding, apparently.
Jason stares at them all strangely, seeming particularly unsettled by Bruceâs reaction. âUhâŠyeah. Iâve been married for like two years now.â He says casually.
âTwoâtwo years?!â Tim and Dick shout simultaneously, Dick shooting to his feet. Bruce releases another one of those dying animal sounds and sits down where Dick was before he could topple to the floor, rubbing his hand over his face.
âYeahâŠâ Jason is startled now, clarity slowly starting to creep into his features now. âDidnât IâŠtell you guys?â He asks apprehensively.
âNo!â They all shout back.
âWell, how did you not know?!â Jason replies defensively. âArenât you people supposed to be the âworldâs greatest detectivesâ?â
âJason, no offense, buddy, but you donât exactly give off the whole loving husband vibe.â Tim says, looking Jason over as if seeing a whole new person.
Jasonâs face screws up in definite offense. âOh fuââ
âYou are having a baby!â Cass interrupts, tone caught somewhere between bewilderment and excitement. Sheâd snagged Jasonâs phone while heâd been distracted and now she and Damian scroll through the two of your messages.
Bruce really does collapse that time.
Itâs the next day when they all gather together again. The night before, after Dick and Jason had deposited Bruce in his bedroom upstairs, theyâd all agreed to get some sleep and resume their talk in the morning. Hopefully, some rest and preparation would help soothe the situation and their conversation can happen in a more civilized manner.
That was the plan, however, when Jason walked into the dining room the next morning for breakfast, he found his family already there looking as if they hadnât slept a wink.
Jason sits down in his usual seat, ignoring the disappointed look Alfred gives him as he places a plate in front of him. They all sit in silence as Jason serves himself breakfast.
âLookâŠit was uhâan honest mistake.â Jason says sheepishly, breaking the silence. The sound of forks scraping porcelain halts at Jasonâs words as his family all look up and stare at him incredulously.
âAn honest mistake?â Dick asks, as if his lack of sleep was causing auditory hallucinations.
âTo neglect to inform us that youâve been in a relationship. The past four years.â Damian tags onârather judgmentally might Jason add.
âAnd married. The last two.â Tim says. What was this, some kind of circus act?
âAlso, you are expecting a baby.â Cass helpfully adds.
Jason shrugs, finding his food rather captivating. âCould happen to anybody.â That was that catalyst. All of a sudden everyone is shouting, trying to speak over each other.
âRight. That too. Is there anything else youâve forgotten to tell us about, Jason?â Dick asks, overly sarcastic. âYou know, besides your secret family.â
âAny more babies?â Cassâvoice bright.
âOh god, please, no.â Bruce moans.
âWhy have you hidden this woman from us, Todd? Are you ashamed?â Damian narrows his eyes suspiciously.
âWhatânoâ!â
âIs she a hero?â Tim.
âWho does she work with?â Bruce.
âIs she a criminal? That would explain your reluctance.â Damian, again.
âNo, sheâs notââ
âWho is she? What does she look like?â
âAre you going to invite her over?â
âOh! Tell her to come to dinner tonight!â
Jason could hardly keep up anymore. Between his brothersâ rapid questions, Bruceâs hard scrutinyâas if he could figure out every answer to his questions if he stared at Jason long enough, and Cass making dinner plans with Alfred, Jason couldnât even hear his own thoughts.
âShut up! How am I supposed to answer anything if you donât give me time to breathe?â Jason snaps, huffing and throwing his fork down. âRuined my damn breakfast.â He mutters, crossing his arms across his chest.
âOh, quit pouting, Toddââ Damian rolls his eyes.
âI am not pouting, you littleââ
âThatâs enough!â Bruce cuts in, his tone firm and commanding, quelling the cacophony of voices.
âJasonâŠâ He says, trailing off like he wasnât sure where he was originally going with his sentence. âAre you sure about this? Marriage is uhâŠa big decisionââ
Jason snorts, cutting Bruce off before he could hurt something with how uncomfortable he was. âLittle late for that, big guy.â
âWhen are you bringing her over?â Cass inquires again. She seemed to be the only one finding the positive in this situation. âTonight? What should we make for dinner? Does she have any allergies? Alfredââ
Cass turns to Alfred and continues with her dinner plans, not waiting to consult with Jason.
âShe canât come tonight.â Jason rolls his eyes, sighing heavily. âSheâs visiting her family in her hometown.â
A collective groan of disappointment resounds around the room, even Alfred and Bruce seem to huff a bit in despondency.
âSo even your own wife canât stand to be around you, huh?â Damian taunts.
âI swear to godââ
A week later, you and Jason stand out front the manor.
âWe can leave, if you want.â Jason says, squeezing your hand reassuringly. Though, you think that was more for himself than you. âReally. No offense on either side, weâll just say something came up with the baby. That youâre not feeling good, orââ
âJason.â You interrupt, gently gripping his hand in both of yours. âItâs going to be fine. I promise.â
âI know. I know that. Of course itâs going to be fine.â Jason scoffs, seemingly thinking his casual attitude covered up the stiffness of his shoulders. Your sweet Jason, doesnât he know you know him too well for that?
âDoesnât mean I have to want to do it.â He mutters under his breath. You huff out a small breath of laughter, shaking your head.
You rub comforting circles on the back of Jasonâs hand. âYou ready?â You ask, hopping excitedly on the tips of your toes once you two stop in front of the large, double front doors.
Jason softens as he observes you. A smile slowly overtaking his face and his shoulders loosening, your presence calming and your smile infectious. He couldnât help but almost share in your excitementâalmost.
Before you could even finish knocking, the door swings open. Standing in the threshold was Jasonâs sister. If you didnât know any better youâd suspect sheâd been standing there watching and waiting for you two to knock.
She looks over you critically, doing a full head to toe scan of you before looking you straight in the eyes.
You clear your throat, squeezing Jasonâs hand for courage. However, before you can let nerves get the better of you, her face breaks out into a brilliant smile.
âHi!â Cass says, her eagerness barely being restrained. âWelcome! I am Cassandraâbut just call me Cass.â
Cass reaches out for your hand, pausing for a moment to see if youâre alright with her grabbing ahold of it. You meet her halfwayâmuch to Jasonâs dismayâand you swear the sun shines a little brighter as her face lightens.
She pulls you into the foyer, talking amicably with her entire body as if there werenât enough words in the world to express her thoughts. âIâm so excited to meet you! I canât believe Jason has tried to hide you from us.â
âI didnâtââ Jason tries to cut in.
âI asked Jason what you like so I hope everything is perfect for you.â Cass says excitedly, ignoring Jasonâs grumbling. She pulls you along further and you have to pick up the pace to keep up with her.
âHey, careful!â Jason growls. You swat at him and quietly tell him to âknock it offâ. He looks at you with blatant offense, his eyes telling you he canât believe youâre taking her side. You roll your eyes and continue following Cass.
Cass drags you into the dining room, Jason trailing in not far behind you. The atmosphere is warm with candles lit and the table all set, the air filled with the comforting smell of all your favorite foods.
An old man dressed in a butlerâs suit appears through a swinging door, presumably from the kitchen the smells of food are wafting from.
âGood evening, Miss.â He smiles politely, warm and grandfatherly. âI am Alfred Pennyworth, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance.â
You brighten at the familiar name. âAh! Alfred, yes, Jasonâs told me so much about you!â Alfred nods and pulls out a seat for you, you take it gratefully. You smile jubilantly at Jason as he takes the seat next to you, conveying an âI told you so!â, absolutely elated with the smooth meetings so far.
Jason shakes his head fondly. Cass pats your arm on her way out of the dining room, smiling reassuringly. Faintly, down the hall in the foyer youâd just arrived from, you hear her voice call out; âTheyâre here! Dinner!â
A moment of silence goes by. You and Jason were left alone in the dining room speaking quietly amongst yourselves, Jasonâs hand never having left yours.
Then, you hear thundering footsteps approaching from the hallway. Jason groans and slumps down into his chair.
The dining room door bursts open, and a man you recognize as Dick Grayson, Jasonâs older brother, stumbles in pushing through the crowd of his younger siblings also trying to fight their way in. You giggle and his eyes snap to you, his face brightening with a charming smile.
He calls out your name and approaches you with his arms spread like he was coming in for a hug. âItâs so great to finally meet you! Iâd like to say Jason has told me a lot about you, but he really hasnât.â He says, obviously still bitter over the fact Jason had kept your relationship a secret from him.
You chuckle sheepishly, glancing at Jason who was glaring at Dick. Jason told you about how it may have slipped his mind the least couple years to mention he was in a relationship to his family. You couldnât even really be upset considering the fact it may haveâŠslipped yours as well?
The thing was you had met his family before! Sort of. About a year into you two dating, Jason had dragged you to a gala hosted by Bruce Wayne, practically begging you to accompany him so he wouldnât be âbored to death surrounded by a bunch of pompous assholesâ (his words, not yours). Youâd clung to Jasonâs arm the whole time as Jason skirted on the edges of the ballroom, and fifteen minutes in you two had elected to ditch the event as a whole instead having a date night in.
Throughout the evening, however, quite a couple of his family members had chased him down, and at the least greeted him before he could shake them off. Ok, you guess you can see how being seen walking beside Jason at a gala filled to the brim with people could be overlooked as a proper introduction.
But you knew of Jasonâs unconventional relationship with his family, heâd only just startedâslowlyâintegrating himself into their lives after all, so you never pushed for anything.
You felt a bit guilty now, though, after finding out how upset his family had been about not knowing of you.
Dick tries to take the seat next to you but Cass is quick and silent as she slips behind him, yanking the chair out from under Dick before he can properly sit down and sending him crashing to the floor. She maneuvers the chair around him and places the seat next to you again, sitting down with a victorious grin.
Jason bursts out laughing. You try to stifle your own laughter and ask Dick if heâs okay, but with the way Cass and Jason are looking at you with amusement you must be doing a terrible job.
The youngest of the bunch, that you know is Damian Wayne, clicks his tongue. âGet off the floor, Richard, you are embarrassing me.â
You nearly lose your composure again after hearing the words coming out of the young manâs mouth. You canât help finding it incredibly endearing how prim and proper he presented himself. You really do laugh when the boyâs face turns bright red after you tell him that very notion.
Last to enter is Tim Drake, snickering at the sulking Dick who took the seat across from you instead, and the blushing Damian.
Youâre pleasantly surprised how easily you all slip into comfortable conversation. Laughing and teasing, trading stories and silly secrets as if youâve been doing it for years.
You were having an amazing time, any doubt or anxiety you previously had completely disappearing with your reverberating laughter. Even Jason had lightened up.
Bruce Wayne finally made his appearance once Alfred began bringing out the nightâs dinner on trays.
You stiffen imperceptibly, that anxiety slowly creeping back into your stomach, but you donât let it dampen your mood. Only sitting up straighter and keeping your carefree smile on your face.
Jason sets a reassuring hand on your thigh, heavy and warm and familiar. It soothes your nerves and you take his hand in yours, sending a smile his way.
Bruce sits down quietly, the other Wayne family members not bothering to briefly break in their conversations to acknowledge him. He seems content with this so you donât say anything either, only waiting for him to look up and meet your eyes.
You greet him politely, and he says your name in return with a small nod. From what youâve heard from Jason that is a wonderful sign and probably the most youâre going to get out of him, so you take it in stride and smile widely returning to the rest of the table.
It was nice being so included in their inner circle. You had a bit of a rocky relationship with your own family, but youâd all been working on it in recent years. However, the way you slipped so naturally into their dysfunctional quota was like a missing piece of a puzzle finally finding its home.
You could feel even through all the teasing and poking fun that this family would always have each otherâs backs. Through the rough and hard times, or even when theyâre at each otherâs throats, theyâd never give up on one another. Knowing Jason had something like that to look after him if anything ever happened to you comforted a piece of your soul.
Halfway through dinner, you glanced at Bruce Wayne, having almost forgotten he was there. Silently he sat, eating his dinner and observing the attendants at the table and your heart melts as you saw the contented warmth in his eyes. He met your eyes and gave you a slight, warm smile, you saw the way he watched Jason and you.
How open and easygoing Jason became with you around, his arm thrown over the back of your chair and him openly talking and laughing without a care. Your heart soared as he gave you an approving nod, almost thanking you for taking care of his son.
Wow. You totally got why people lost their mindâs for the Batmanâs approval now.
âHey.â Youâre pulled away from Cass and answering her million questions about your pregnancy; âDid you know what it was yet?â âHow far along are you?â âHave you picked out names?â âWhat do you think about this nursery? Or this one?â âHave you considered Kassandra if itâs a girl? With a K of course.ââwhen Tim whisper-yelled your name across the table.
You chuckled leaning in with the others as they all acquired a conspiring glints in their eyes.
âBe honestâdid you totally kick Jasonâs ass when you found out his incredible incompetence struck again?â Damian asks, almost excited to hear about your imagined wrath.
âPlease tell me you did.â Tim chimed in, still whispering as if Jason wasnât sitting directly to your left.
âOh, donât be too upset with him!â Dick says, though his wolfish grin betrayed his true thoughts. âHeâs not the brightest person sometimes, but he means well! We all have our flaws.â
Jason scoffs and you could practically hear him roll his eyes. You respond before Jason can retort.
âWell actuallyâŠâ You begin, tentatively. âI thought you all knew too.â You confess.
The table goes silent.
âI just thought none of you ever mentioned anything! So I didnât either.â You chuckle bashfully.
Well, werenât you two just a pair of peas in a pod.
âAnd technically!â You add quickly, trying to defend yourself. âWe have met before! At a gala, three years ago, around Christmas time.â
âThe Christmas Wayne Foundation galaâŠ?â Dick mumbles.
âMhm!â You nod, Jason holding a hand up to you as if you were proving some point of his.
âThree years agoâŠâ Tim says, almost like heâs trying to make sure he heard you right.
âWhere Jason avoided us the whole night and then disappeared before the event really even started?â Cass asks, this time. Youâre sort of starting to get the feeling youâve said the wrong thing.
You nod again, a little less assured now. âWell, yes. But I was there with him!â
âThat counts as a meeting, right? I did see all of you.â You turn to Jason who nods in agreement.
âNot your fault they couldnât put two and two togetherââ Jason tries to say.
âNo!â They shout in unison.
âAre you people living in delusion?â
âYou didnât even invite us to the wedding! Howâre we supposed to guess that youâre married?â
âWell it was small! There were only likeâtwo other people there anyway!â Jason tries to defend.
âNot even a Facebook relationship status change?â
Lesson learned. Jason will never assume the âworldâs greatest detectivesâ (derogatory) knew everything ever again.
It also didnât sail too smoothly when Jason got the bright idea to check if he maybe ever informed his friends of his relationship status. (Spoiler: he hadnât.)

#1 â AT A BARBECUE
An aroma of grilling onions and bell peppers on a heated Blackstone filled the air. You and Jack were at a Memorial Day barbecue hosted by one of his old Army buddies who he hadnât seen in a while, the sound of your flip flops slapping around on overheating concrete making Jack look up at you as you handed him a beer with a soft smile. âThank you, honey.â He smiled back at you, a stray curl flopping onto his forehead.
You nod, âOf course. You want some fruit or something? Thereâs some really good watermelon over there,â you point to a table with an assortment of different types of fruit: watermelon, pineapple, honeydew, and cantaloupeâwith a manicured finger. Jack shakes his head, putting the rim of the amber bottle to his lips, âIâm alright, honey, thank you.â
You nod again, a small âokayâ falling from your lips before you make your own way to the table, adjusting your cover up on your shoulders. Thereâs a woman already there who looks to be in her late forties, and you can tell sheâs the wife of one of the retired vets that Jack became close with. She smiles at you, holding tongs in her left hand as she picks up a few pieces of watermelon and places them on a plate. âItâs so nice of Jack to bring you here,â She says kindly, âAre you on summer break from the University of Pittsburgh?â
You shake your head, grabbing a paper plate from the stack as the wind picks up, making a few napkins fly away, so you bend down to grab them before responding. âI actually just graduated from the Pitt School of Health,â you correct, âIâm a phlebotomist at PTMC, I work with Jack.â She gasps, âOh, a father-daughter duo at the hospital! Thatâs so adorable. Iâm Teresa, Iâm Emmettâs wife,â She holds out her hand, pointing in the direction of the pool at a tan Asian man.
You shake her hand, âThank you, but Jackâs not my fatherâIâm his girlfriend,â You giggle, and Teresa blushes, looking mortified, âOh, goshâI am so sorryââ She apologizes profusely, but you just laugh it off, shrugging, âItâs fine, reallyâthe age gap and allâit makes sense that you would perceive us that way.â
She apologizes once more before walking back over to her husband, and you just giggle again to yourself, placing a few pieces of cantaloupe on your plate before going back over to Jack. âWhat was that all about?â He asks gravelly, pulling you into his lap with a soft grunt, his hand rubbing small circles on your hip bone.
âShe thought you were my dad,â you laugh, wrapping your free arm around the back of his neck, stabbing the cantaloupe chunk with your plastic fork and bringing it up to your lips. âAre you serious?â Jack responds, huffing out a laugh, âI donât look that old, do I honey?â
You hum, looking over his facial featuresâthe Crowâs feet by his beautiful hazel eyes, the greying stubble on his cheeks and chin, the silvery-white curls that you loved to tug on and run your fingers throughâand just chuckle, âI plead the fifth.â
Jack scoffs, pinching your hip, âBrat.â
#2 â HAPPY FATHERâS DAY!
You knew that sometimes the age gap bothered Jackânot in a malicious way towards you, but towards himself. He could never understand why you of all people, his best friendâs daughter, chose someone as old and as grumpy as him.
His back ached almost daily. He had wrinkles everywhere. His hair was grey, white in some places, and he had to take Viagra to keep up with you, for Godâs sakesâand on top of all of that, he was a war veteran missing the lower part of his leg.
But you still wanted him. You still chose him.
âBaby, are you almost done?â You call out, walking back to Jackâs bedroom, where you see him standing in front of a mirror, sighing as he struggles with his tie. âLet me do it,â You murmur softly, removing his hands from the fabric, breathing steady as you concentrate on untying it for him. âFuckinâ hands are shaking,â he scoffs, âIâm a doctor, and my hands are shaking. What kind of fucking bullshitââ
âHey, hey, hey,â You cut him off, your voice soothing as you lift your hand to his cheek, âwhatâs going on, Jack? Are you okay?â His hand raises to cover yours as he turns his head to kiss your palm, and he nods. âYeah, justâŠwhat that waiter said at dinnerâI guess it shook me up more than I realized.â
âOh, baby,â you coo, âthe Dad thing? That happens all the time with us, Jackieââ
He cuts you off, stepping away from you and your touch, âI know,â He says roughly, âIt happens basically every time we go out, honeyâI justâit makes me feel so weird sometimes. Like Iâm some kind of predator, I meanââ He scoffs, âYouâre my best friendâs daughter and he doesnât even know about us. I was there for all of your major life events, honâdonât you think thatâs weird?â
Even though heâs stepped away from you, you step closer to him. âJack,â You sigh, âI am a grown woman, who can make my own choices.â
âHoneyâthatâs not what Iââ
âNo,â You shake your head, âI knew what I was doing when I pursued you, Jack. For Godâs sakes, Iâve had a âcrushâ on you since I was a senior in high school. Who cares if someone thinks youâre my father? Youâre not, youâre my boyfriend. And thatâs all that matters.â
Jack looks down at you with softened hazel eyes, a smile perking up on his lips. âIâm your boyfriend,â He repeats, like heâs reminding himself.
âMy hot boyfriend,â You affirm, placing a hand on his chest to slowly push him towards the bed, âmy hot, sexy, beekeeping age boyfriend with a massive dickâŠâ
His eyebrows raise as his back lands against the crisply ironed sheets of his duvet, âMassive dick, huh?â
âYou know itâs massive, Abbot, shut up.â
+ 1 â SUPPLY CLOSET
You knew it was wrong to lie to your fatherâbut he couldnât know about your relationship with Jack yet, he just couldnât. So when you told him you were going to Italy, and he asked with who, obviously you couldnât tell him it was with your boyfriend who just so happened to be his best friend of more than two decades. So you lied.
âJust some friends from college,â You shrug, plopping down onto his couch, âHannah, Veronica, Quinnâthat group.â
Michael looks up from his book, glasses perched on the bridge of his nose as you rest your head on his shoulder. He places a kiss to your hair. âYou better be safe, sweetheart. Use the buddy system when you go to the bathroom, donât take drinks from strangers, practice safe sexââ
âDad!â You exclaim with disgust, lifting your head up from his shoulder. âWhat? Youâre a single young woman in a foreign country, honey, and Italian men are very persistent. Iâm just trying to make sure you wonât be going home with some foreign objects, honey, thatâs all.â He chuckles at his joke, and you roll your eyes.
âYouâre so stupid,â You grumble, âand old. And annoying. And for the record, I have a boyfriend. No sex with Italian men will be happening any time soon.â
This intrigues Michael, and he takes his glasses off, closes his book, and then puts both items on the coffee table. âYeah? When do I get to meet this lucky guy who makes my baby girl so happy, hm?â
Fuck. Youâve already said way too much.
âSomeday,â You splutter, âheâs really busy with work, soââ
âWhat does he do?â
âHeâs a doctor,â
Shit! Way too much fucking said!
The next week, you come into work, and almost immediately, Ahmad is in your face with a mischievous glint in his eyes. âThe great Dr. Robinavitch! Welcome in, my fair lady.â
You look up at him, amused. âWhatâs the betting pool this time?â
He just sighs, a look of defeat on his face as his shoulders deflate. He crosses his arms over his chest, âWho in the hospital youâre dating. Your dad put $40 on Park the Shark, caught making out in the supply closet. Said something like that happened when he first started working at the ED with your mom, and you know the sayingâlike father, like daughter.â
You fake gag, âFirst of all, TMI about my parents. Didnât need to know that. And second of all, Park the Shark? Really, dad?â You aim the last piece of your sentence towards him, where heâs at the nursesâ station chatting with Dana.
âSorry honey!â
Fourâalmost fiveâhours later, thereâs a small chance for a break after the chaos of an MVC begins to wind down. It had required all hands on deck, bringing in multiple doctors from different departments, and also doctors from the night shift, meaning that Dr. Jack Abbot, MD and you were in the same vicinity.
After completing a CBC and CMP for one of the patients, you had a small break. You let out a sigh of relief as you snap your gloves off, stretching and rolling out your neck before going down the hallway, where, strategically, there was a supply closet. You shrug to yourself, figuring that you could do some organizing in there with the downtimeâand shut the door behind you once you make your way inside.
A few minutes later, the door opens behind you, and you gasp, placing a hand on your chest before realizing it was just your boyfriend, who now has a grin on his face. He locks the door before walking closer to you, gripping your hips with calloused hands. âI scare you?â He teases, backing you up against the shelving, placing kisses along your neck and jawline.
âMmâJack, weâre at workâŠâ You try to protest, but they get caught in your throat as his hands move from your hips to underneath your scrub top. âIn a closet,â he states, âwith the lights turned off. With downtime in an Emergency Department. Let me fuck you, honey.â
âYouâre lucky I love you,â You giggle, pressing your lips to his. You moan softly as the kisses get more intense, and soon enough, Jackâs scrub pants and boxers are pushed down just enough to let his cock out. Your scrub pants are all the way down to your ankles, thong pushed to the side, scrub top on the floor and your undershirt pulled up to let Jack see his favorite thing: your tits.
âSo fucking perfect for me,â He murmurs, taking a nipple into his mouth, sucking on it as he slowly starts to thrust into you. âOh my God, JackieâŠâ You whine, head thumping against the shelving. He shushes you, pulling off of your breast, âNot my name, honey. And you gotta be quiet, canât have our coworkers knowing how slutty their favorite phlebotomist gets for her daddy, hm?â He lifts his thumb to your lips, and you gladly take it, moaning around it as his thrusts increase.
âSo big daddyânghhhh,â You whimper, and he groans as you clench around him, shoving his head into the crook of your neck, âOh, fuck. Oh fuck, oh fuck,â He grits out, pace increasing as the knot begins to form in the base of his stomachâand as soon as it forms, itâs gone.
âWhat the fuck?!â Michael snarls, anger clearly expressive on his face as his grip tightens on the supply closet doorâs handle, his teeth gritted. Jack scrambles to pull up his boxers and scrub pants, covering you up with his body as he turns around to face the older Dr. Robinavitch.
âRobby, man, I can explainââ
The door slams in Jackâs face.
âI thought you locked it!â You squeal, rushing to put all of your clothes back on: you pull your undershirt down, put your scrub top back on, put your thong back in the right place, and then pull your scrub pants back on before smoothing your hair and trying to ignore the dull ache that formed between your legs.
âI did!â Jack sighs, running a hand through his hair, âI forgot it unlocks if you pull on it hard enoughâRobby mustâve already been irritated.â
âMy dad just saw me having sex with you,â You whine, âmy life is over.â You hide your face in his chest, and Jack just sighs again, placing a hand on your back before kissing the top of your head. âIâll deal with it, honey. Justâgo back to working, okay? Shut down any shit that people try to talk.â
You look up at him, nodding, and quickly exit the supply closet, avoiding eye contact with any staff as you try to busy yourself with bloodwork labs. Jack, still in the supply closet, grips both sides of his stethoscope, sighs, and then looks up at the ceiling, shutting his eyes before whispering, âGod kill me now.â
After taking a few more deep breaths, he exits the closet, looking around for Robby. His heart drops to his ass when he looks out the doors to the ambulance bay, seeing Robbyâand youâin a heated argument. Against his better judgement, he decides to go outside.
âHeâs fifty years old and my best friend! You are not to date him, and thatâs final!â Michael shouts, a finger pointed in your face.
âIâm a grown woman, dad! I can date who I wantâwho cares if heâs your best friend?â You argue, brows furrowed as you step closer to him.
âGuysââ Jack starts.
âStay out of this!â You and Michael both yell in unison, and if Jack wasnât about to get his head bit off, heâd make a comment about how alike your mannerisms were.
âYou motherfucker,â Michael growls, walking up to Jack and immediately taking a swing. It lands, hard, and Jack groans as his head snaps to the side, a large bruise forming on his cheek as he spits blood from his mouth. You gasp, covering your mouth as your eyes widen.
âI deserved that,â he heaves, and the automatic doors open as Dana rushes outside, âRobby! Go somewhere else, now!â She yells, helping Jack to his feet.
EXTRA â SECRETâS OUT
âI didnât know that was gonna happen,â You mumble, cheek smushed to Jackâs shoulder as he holds an ice pack to his cheekbone in Central 5, âIâm really sorry, Jackie.â Your hands are laced with his as the two of you sit on the edge of the hospital bed.
âDonât be, sweetie,â He says softly, âI knew it was gonna happen.â Jack chuckles, âYour dad has always been protective of you, especially after your motherâs death. Plus, I really think he was expecting it to be you and Park making out in that supply closet.â
You pinch his thigh, and he winces playfully as the doors to Central 5 open with a mechanical hissâyou unlace your fingers from Jackâs immediately as your father walks in with Dana following behind him.
âApologize,â she nudges the back of his leg with her foot like a mother scolding her toddler. âIâm sorry for punching you, Jack,â Michael sighs, scrubbing a hand over his face before turning back towards Dana, who snaps her gum at him before pointing her chin towards you, âAnd Iâm sorry, baby girl, for reacting that way towards you. Youâre rightâyouâre a grown woman who can make her own choices and I have to trust that youâre capable enough to make your own choices.â
You grin, standing up from the hospital bed to wrap your arms around your father. âI forgive you,â You whisper softly, sighing as he wraps his arms around you in response, squeezing you momentarily.
âWhat, I donât get a hug?â Jack jokes, wincing as the stitches on his cheek almost split open when Jack cracks a smile. Michael huffs, pulling Jack into a hugâwhich is a lot tighter than the one he just gave you, and Jack can tell itâs a warning.
âIâm not saying I approve of this,â Michael mutters, the sound low enough so that only Jack can hearâyou were doing something on your phoneââbut I tolerate it. I love you, brother, but I love my baby girl more. If you hurt her, so help me God, I will find you down and hunt you.â
âYep, point taken,â Jack strains out, feeling his lungs get restricted from how tight Robby was holding him.
âFirst thing in the morning, baby girl, report this damn relationship to Gloria,â Michael says, aiming the sentence at you, his voice louder now.
You nod, laughing as you snap a picture of Jack and your father hugging, sending it to Perlah. âBest buddies!!â You caption it.
EXTRA #2 â FOOLâS GOLD
âCome on, just tell me who won the money! I already had to go basically spill my entire sex life to Gloria,â You whine, standing in front of Ahmad as he shakes his head.
âCanât,â He sighs, holding up three fingers and placing his hand over his heart, âScoutâs Honor.â You huff, crossing your arms over your chest. âThanks for nothing, Ahmad!â You turn on your heel, exiting the security office as you make your way over to Trinity as she snapped a glove against Whittakerâs back.
âDo you guys know who won the bet? I asked Ahmad who won and he wonât tell me,â You pout, resting your arms against the nursesâ station. âYou mean the bet about who in the hospital you were dating, which was started by your meddling father, who then punched your boyfriend, who turned out to be his best friend?â Trinity says matter-of-factly, and you huff.
âWay to call me out,â
âPark won it, I think he won like fifteen-hundred dollars,â Dennis shrugs, ripping open the wrapper to a granola bar. Yourâs and Trinityâs jaws drop as you look towards Trauma Two, where Brendon âPark the Sharkâ Park works on reattaching the severed limb of a construction worker.
âWhat was his bet?â You ask, tentatively.
âDr. Abbot, two years and not HR-approved, found out by Dr. Robby in the supply closet,â Dennis replies, his words slightly gargled from granola.
You donât think youâve ever whipped out your phone so fast as you text Jack:
what would you say if i asked about a potential threesome with park?
