#wizard au

Nolan is a wizard from ilvamorny(the American wizarding school) and he actually works for the American ministry of magic. He took the job as the ADA because the ministry wants him to keep an eye on the muggles as a sort of "we can't afford for the world to almost end again because of an evil wizard" precaution. The reason hes able to work so many cases? Minerva gave him the timeturner that Hermione was using in PoA, because she met him when he was still in school and decided that he was responsible enough. He uses it so that he can work many cases at once. Sam has a feeling that something is off with Nolan, Jack knew 100 percent, and Nick is just oblivious. Everytime something REALLY bad happens(like the subway shooting) he's always afraid that another Wizarding war is about to go down because he was so traumatized by the last one.

He mostly focused on charms in school and is skilled at spells that have to do with persuasion, but he doesn't use his magic much because he might get caught. He was really good at Quiditch, but he preferred spending time in the libraries. He definitely would have been either a ravenclaw or a hufflepuff(sorry I don't know the american houses).

He told Grace immediately when they started dating, and was surprised to find out that she's a wizard supporter, because she has magic in her family. But Nolan actually got in a lot of trouble for telling her.

His family was a well respected Wizarding family, and helped a lot of muggle-born wizards during the war in the HP series. His mother was a muggle and his father was wizard. Both his brothers are/were very strong with their magic, but Thomas and Christopher went to a different school.

I think its a cool idea, and what if all the ADA's were some sort of auror(auer? Aouror?? Wizard fbi) and they make sure that the muggles behave themselves. Thats awesome in my opinion. Feel free to make your own theories building on this one, id love to hear yall's opinions.

I really should sometime it's got some of the most in-depth lore of any of my aus. I should figure out how I want to tag it though.... I generally call it the wizard au, but the world of the au itself is called Eldrimancica. (Like a mix of eldritch, the suffix that can be used for magic users such as hydromancy or somethin, and lastly somethin that's like what a place name could end with) So the people of that au could be called eldrimancicans.

There are different races there like elves and orcs and well. Mainly different kinds of elves (including but not limited to dark elf and high elf. The Drayton is a high elf). and there are tieflings there too. They're pretty cool. (debating on adding halflings, dwarves, and kobolds but I haven't decided for sure yet) There aren't any humans in the au except on The Other Side (<- something that will need its own super long post)

Also the amount of creature diversity there is wild. They got pokemon, digimon, regular animals, fusions of regular animals, monster rancher monsters, fantasy creatures (such as unicorns), and even some bizarre creatures that originate from my own imagination.

While typing I decided I'm just gonna call it the wizard au in the tags.

it’s like. a film crew hired to make a biopic of Francisco’s legacy and they follow isabel around school for a whole year. it’s awful and she hates it. we get a more casual and comedic look at the school and her everyday life & wizard training. There’s a shot when one camera guy needs to duck and cover during an alchemy class, because johnny transmuted sulfur and accidentally sparked it and he blew up half the room.

isabel and johnny still sneak around together and have their romance plot but the best we see of it are blurry zoomed-in distance shots of them talking, or huddled conspicuously in some alcove or hidden corner. one lucky crew member manages to get a wizard boom mic close enough to pick up muffled whisperings about “finding one between classes” and “making sure nobody’s around” and “need to be careful” before johnny catches sight of them and chases them down

there are total drama island-esque interviews and in one of them max is like “the hallways are creepy but i don’t have weird gothic architecture to parkour on at home so i guess it pays its dues” and then cuts to a shot of max doing a flip off a marble staircase while 3 student watch in an otherwise bustling crowd. isaac keeps trying to get on camera. lisa shows up in the halls when the film crew don’t expect her like the twins in the shining. violet hates being on camera but she’s just so cool. um what else.

Adam is in his wizard tower researching magical plants and is happy alongside Lute, a crow familiar.

Suddenly a man enters her tower shouting "Princess, I've come to rescue you"

The knight removes his helmet, revealing a blond man with blue eyes. "Oh, Princess, the stories don't do you justice."

Adam and Lute just exchange glances and see the subject who interrupted them.

Adam, "I think you've got the wrong tower, buddy."

Lucifer, looking Adam up and down, said, "I don't think so, beautiful."

Before he can even object, he finds himself tied to the back of a horse, headed for the capital.

Adam: ………WHAT THE FUCK!?!?

Lute watches her friend be taken away with a bewildered expression.

Lute: ……Should I call the local law enforcement?

Yes she should.
