Jedi Survivor Final-ish Thoughts
I loved the story, the spy twist with Bode was well written with little things sprinkled throughout for you to pick up on that he isn’t all that he seems. I felt sad but also vindicated that I was right when he betrayed Cal.
I did not expect the Jedi twist with Bode though, very fun. And I love that they adopt Kata at the end! (Please send Fic recs of this!)
I love how customizable everything was!! So fun! I do wonder why the Mantis wasn’t customizable anymore, I wish they added a few details into the interior at least that made it feel more like Cal’s ship since he’s been using it for the past 5 years. How cool would it be if you could collect stuff throughout the game and it shows up on the ship?!
Playing the game on Story mode was a little boring. I’m not super great at the fighting stuff and tend to get frustrated if I have to repeat it a lot so I chose Story mode but I think they overdid it with how easy it is to defeat any enemies. It was so easy it wasn’t even fun, perhaps next time I’ll play on the slightly harder level but I don’t think it would’ve hurt to make it just a little more difficult. Non of the legendary enemy defeats really feel earned when everything feels easy.
Do NOT get me started on the puzzles. The puzzles were the absolute worst! I dreaded them every time.
Tears weren’t always bad, I liked the fighting ones more then the obstacle course once
I loved all the townies on Koboh, a very fun addition that makes the world feel more alive. I do wish they moved around the map throughout the game, having them all at Pyloons tended to make the rest of the map feel empty especially on Jedah. I think Spider-Man Miles Morales did a good job of implementing the community feel into the game.
There are little things that I wish they would add that I’ve seen in other games, namely RDR2, like making Cal sleep resulting in different times or day and/or different weather, making Cal eat when on the Mantis or at Pyloon’s, maybe even getting Cal drunk at Pyloon’s just for kicks. I mean why even have the option for him to go up to the bar and say “Bar keep” the do nothing?? Felt like they left something out.
Cere’s death was so well done and devastating, I knew as soon as Vader pulled up she was dead and it weighed on me the whole fight . I loved it!
Cal being tempted by the dark side after Bode’s betrayal was so enthralling to watch. I’m very excited to see how this further develops in the third game!
Speaking of further development, I’m so glad that Merrin and Cal are finally together!! I do wish Merrin got more screen time, I would love to see her character get developed more.
I loved that Greez kept a room for Cal at Pyloon’s just in case he showed up, he loves him so much!! More papa Greez please! They better not kill him in the next game
BD-1 was fantastic as always!! Loved all the customization options for him as well!
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Pyloon Saloon, Aurebesh translation Part 1
As always, critic is higly apprechiated and if something isnt readable, lemme know.
We could use a real pilot.
Greezy money, baby! A little Greez Dritus sketch in Procreate.

Star Wars Jedi: Battle Scars by Sam Maggs
Currently reading this book and I thought the cover needed some movement.
Today's Fallen Order request is "I don't see him" for @dragonleighs
Eyes roaming the snowy scene ahead of them, Merrin does her best to mirror Cere and contain her panic, as though they haven’t just watched an avalanche crush an entire village with their friends still inside it. The last thing she saw was Cal, arms thrown out, the Force gathering. “I don’t see him,” she shouts over the snowstorm. “I don’t see any of them.”
“Neither do I,” Cere says. She closes her eyes, breathing steadying. “They’re alive.”
It takes all Merrin’s self-control to not demand more information from Cere. That, and the knowledge that there are a lot of frightened people gathered behind them, people she refuses to scare further when they may have lost loved ones to the snow and ice. Instead, she stays quiet, feeling the Force move around Cere in ways not accessible to a Nightsister.
Cere’s eyes spring open. She points. “There. Where the clinic used to be.”
Someone get this ginger Jedi to take a nap.
