Hi! I'm here to ruin you're day with a science fact that has been slowly eating my brain since freshman year of high school.

So bats live in caves. they hang upside down from the top. We all know this. But what happens when they have to poop? they just do it and it falls to the cave floor. All good right?

WRONG! there are so many bats that their shit can cover the floor and get multiple feet high. It can eventually fill the entire cave and force them to move.

But there's more:

cockroaches live in the defecation and eat it.

Bats occasionally fall from the cave ceiling. Into the giant pile of shit. And they can't get out. They drown in their own shit while getting eaten alive by cockroaches. That's an actual way to die.
