1. Marc Andre Fleury's last game as a Pen. From the practice videos, the pranks, Sid's obvious joy, to the actual game and the heart wrenching post game interview and crowd farewell, every moment in #pens lb was pure joy and love and grief and gratitude and a high unlike any other. Genuinely one of my most treasured hockey memories and a game that will pop in my head whenever someone asks me why I'm a Pens fan. (And I became aware of my precious mouse Sergei Murashov, who valiantly fought for two periods to give Flower a chance to win it for the Pens.)
2. Whamgate. Oh boy. I still have sooooo much I wanted to add to that and perhaps I will this summer, but. what a fun time to be like guys he's singing right??? do you think he's saying this? Are we crazy? WHO CARES #norulesjustright. Anytime I see a wham reference in a fic or fancomic I am truly moved. We really built something that day.
3. When Warso's line blending and benching of Will made us all so mad and we were all just yelling at each other EXACTLY YES NO EXACTLY YOU GET IT. Hating in a group is very healing
4. Have to say Marmongate even despite the slightly tense vibes. Truly hilarious to be in the airport and get rolling updates of mackerin drinking like a feesh and failwifing his way through Boston while his boybestie supported a woman athlete running for charity. The incredulous nature of every post was so funny. Memes immaculate. (Apologies for never finishing the timeline—I spent too long working on it and then the moment had passed)
5. Halifax 2: Tiramartini Boogaloo. This was a moment I truly would not have gotten through without the support of the moots. Saw a new Halifax picture, did a fun lil webweave. Just a quick fun little google maps jaunt on a lark and suddenly I was staring at a menu looking at the words tiramisu espresso martini and knowing deep in my soul that Will was there. @cassili dubbing them tiramartinis (goated name) and everyone else then finding MORE HALLOWED HALIFAX PICTURES ?? I didn't breathe that whole day probably
Honorable mention to the sharks lb and pens lb every game, which is always the most fun way to watch and often led to a kiki with a mutual or someone new.
