I know I’m an 18th century guy but while we’re on the topic of slutty military wear. the OFF THE SHOULDER HUSSAR JACKETS…… this is straight up provocative
my war movie boys 🩵
[with the same imperious tone with which christians tell faggots to repent and find jesus] you all need nietzsche. badly.
Market near my college, right across the subway station that got filled with smoke and rushed people out to the still pretty dangerous streets. I used to buy dried fruits there. Mall over the subway got burned down too. I went there for my every lunch break, and to the crafts store above the grocery store…
They took my summer in Crimea and neglected my favourite town there to the point of non existence, they occupied my grandparent’s town, now they destroyed yet another place dear to me. I fucking cant hate them less at this point. It is simply not possible.

I got the full We Are Robin series for chirstmas! So here are some random silly things I noticed
Though I don't have any of the Robin War crossover or tie-in issues, which is a bummer but still.
Not 100% sure what to make of the Russian "partial mobilization"
Mass army era militaries were full of train nerd autists because moving hundreds of thousands of men and their supplies around in an orderly fashion is not something you figure out on the fly and once you've got a plan you can't change it fast
So now Russia is mobilizing 300,000 (or 1,000,000?) men on the fly. After cannibalizing their training officers to fill the lines over the summer. Oh dear.
There's a classic blunder militaries make of trying an operation on the cheap, then finding they underestimated the enemy, then upping their force a little and trying again, this fails too, and they repeat. The Gallipoli campaign is a good example. Seems like this is what Russia's done, upping the force applied only after a massive setback.
It's a sign of weakness, definitely, but a panicky Putin doubling down and fully committing his regime to victory in Ukraine is a serious concern in its own right. Their ineptitude deserves the mockery it gets, it's sitting on a large nuclear stockpile and we should seriously worry they'll use it in Ukraine.
Pushing forward the sham referenda is a Rubicon crossing they're committed to now. Honestly no clue what comes next, Ukraine is almost certainly (0.95 probability estimate) going to ignore the results and very likely (0.85) to attack the now "Russian" territory.
What probability is there on Russia using nukes in combat if that fight goes badly? 0.5? Even 0.1. is terrifyingly high. I don't think Putin would choose losing power over rolling the dice with nuclear weapons, if his recent behavior is any guide. And if he declares the occupied provinces as Russian territory and is about to get kicked out of them, what other option does he have?
sometimes all it takes to feel a little bit better is imagining sharing a foxhole with your war buddy in the winter time, forcing you to move closer and closer to him for warmth. you know its what you have to do to survive but you feel something inside you that appreciates it a bit more, and you hope he feels it too. you don't speak and you don't move, but in that moment you know theres nothing needed to be said, only things needed to be felt. perhaps it wouldn't hurt to brush your hand against his, though?
