lemme just talk kareem and waleed for a second. (slightly long post).
so the red daggers are a mantle, which means that waleed trained kareem to someday succeed him. we don't see or hear about kareem's biological parents in the episode, which centers around the red daggers.
each situation kareem and waleed find themselves in, kareem defers to waleed. every fight, he knows what to do and he knows his priority isn't to make some big, dramatic stand. the red daggers have a purpose bigger than both of them, and kareem knows that far too well for someone who was trained merely in his teen years. he has the same quirks during fights that waleed does (ie. the little bring it on hand thing they both do), and he trusts waleed enough to turn his back and trust waleed to watch it.
kareem fights and moves with the confidence of someone who is not only assured in his skills, but assured in the lessons he has learned through their acquiry. lessons of patience, trust, determination, and perseverance that we see him put into play all throughout the episode reflect the fact that while he is a kid, he's not only trained to be able to carry out the purpose of the red daggers, but he has been raised on the same values. when we first meet him, there's a careful balance between the exhilaration he feels when he's fighting kamala and the genuine knowledge he has that this isn't about how fun the fight is, it's about the fact that he has to protect her. that the bangle on her wrist is the priority.
when waleed dies, he has a choice. he can either save himself or save kareem and kamala. his final act represents that selflessness that he's taught kareem. and instead of stopping to grieve, kareem allows himself only one second of shock and anger before he's moving again.
so i think that waleed raised kareem. i think he might've been the only father figure kareem actually knew. and i think that makes even the journey they go through in just this one episode that much more painful.
Wait wait wait one second gotta flex seeing Farhan Akhtar IRL reeeal quick-
The next episode is indeed going to be an emotional roller coaster, the end of the episode Marvel did an amazing job it really pains me even thinking about the partition
The Clandestines they reached Pakistan really quick I’m curious to see their powers also they just killed of Waleed that quickly I mean seriously Marvel
I just feel bad for Kamran now
I like how casual Nani is
Okay but this is so cool first realms and now dimensions
COMIC ACCURATE
Also their chemistry is good
I want a Bruno Carrelli and Peter Parker meetup I don't know but it's essential for them to meet each other and have nerdy science jokes session

DUDE FARHAN AKHTAR AS WALEED IM IN. THIS IS WHAT I SIGNED UP FOR
Najma's like, "We are the Djinn!"
And then Waleed is like, "Okay, dial it back. The Clandestines are not literally the founding basis for the mythical Djinn. Our forefathers called them Djinn because that was already an established concept for supernatural creatures, so what else were we supposed to think?"
