2. peggy carter and howard stark created an organization in steve’s honor and then recruited hydra/nazi agents including zola (who they knew had experimented on bucky) leading to the infiltration of the govt and are inferred to have known bucky was the winter soldier. so what, steve would be fine w that?

3. sam wilson is captain america. if they wanted steve to come back so badly, than old man steve should have been an imposter & steve himself should have come back as nomad

PLEASE I bet that back when they were Batman and Robin, when they were bored while waiting for the computer to finish some analysis or other (the Batcomputer wasn't as fast in the 90s as it is now) they would practice the most unnecessarily convoluted moves or coordinated trickshots for fun.

So imagine:

- discreetly passing objects between each other without looking, with various sleight of hand tricks? Saved a couple of missions, both in and out of costume, when they needed to smuggle some kind of dangerous artifact or data.

- a fighting move that's so unnecessarily complicated they're basically a living Rube Goldberg machine? So chaotic that it completely disorients the enemy, devastatingly effective.

separated by time, an ocean, and also being really mad at each other, yet united in the irresistible impulse to make snarky commentary about prudence's name <3

something i always think about re: the synchronized moves is this moment in new titans 65, published in 1990, when we get an explanation of what tim's trying to learn / what bruce is looking for:

Tim: Tim, he said, I want you to move like some well-oiled gear - Dick (finishing the quote): - so we mesh perfectly, one smoothly working with the other instead of creating friction. Emphasis on the word friction, right?

and then in detective comics 818, published sixteen years later (!) in 2006, we get two face narrating and something i am 99% certain is a deliberate callback to new titans 65:

It's different now. How they fight. That was the problem. Batman and the first Robin... they were too in synch. A perfect match. The next boy, and this... the third ... never the same. Never as good. I think that was why Batman drew into himself, away form the others. Too much. To a different Gotham of accusations and alienation. It was almost his downfall. Hell, I was almost his downfall then, when I was Two-Face. But look now. Batman and this third Robin... how they fight. Perfectly meshed. I wonder if the first Robin has had a hand in this boy's instruction...

so, like, this is the goal that dick and tim both have when working with bruce, but specifically the way it works with tim is tim is imitating dick's moves!! and so especially in the dick & tim teamups, neither of them are necessarily overpowered fighters the way bruce is, but they're great at anticipating each other's moves and they often win that way <3
