How I adore the tiny white faire booths peeking through the tall misty rainy forest trees↟ . . Although it made for a very beautiful atmosphere, as someone that’s vended at faires I really felt for all the merchants. Rain typically means less people go, and significantly less money is made for all these hardworking artists that really count on the income made during the faire season. I hope anyone planning on going to faires will go regardless of rain or shine! These vendors appreciate it and personally I think rainy faires create an even more authentic magical atmosphere. This weekend is looking cloudy and rainy again but for the merchants sake I really hope it’ll be a successful weekend. I plan to go back and see for myself! I had just missed 2 customers there because of the storm so if any of you are going/going back to the Oregon Renaissance Faire let me know, I’d love to meet you!↟ . . Also, I’ve been working super hard making countless faire orders these last couple months - I’d LOVE to see photos of you all out in your garb! Even if you just want to send it for my eyes only. Heres a few shots of my weekend! This event took place in the hocking hills area in ohio. The event is lily fest and we are the viking village you see when you enter. This was my first forging demonstration that I've done and it was a lot of fun!! If you are in this area or around next year you should stop by!!
