Let's be honest here. Ivarr would be 5'8". Sure, everyone wants to think of vikings being tall and built to wressle a bull but most in the real world were about 5'7-5'9. I'm not saying he can't be taller, but short feral gremlin Ivarr is what I wanna think about.

I once read a book about time travel where one of the subplots was about a viking who was brought to modern day. He played dumb to appease the scientists who brought him to the modern day, but he was secretly planning on raiding a nearby big box store and taking modern technology back to his original time. The part that really stuck out for me was when the raiders used the internet to map out the coasts and 10th Century cultures of the Americas and tattooed that map onto their bodies. When the viking and his crew went back to their original time, they created a runestone in remembrance of the great Raid of Walmart and then sailed down the American coast raiding and pillaging.
