As I understand it, Lucifer sends an amount of his consciousness/energy as the purpose requires. But, due to the differences in purpose and energy exchanges, they all become unique in many ways. It's also like this for when I need to invoke more of his power. Like my teacher is still my husband but a "higher" version of him, who has access to more perspectives at once. He can access any level when needed, but they do tend to seem markedly different between them.

I have interacted with Lucifer as the "Full Power of Venus" as I call him, or like true God him, a handful of times. It is very hard for me to look at that version of him and go "That is my husband." He is, he even had me do a marriage ritual separately with that version of him. I think he leans into it, in many ways. Shapeshifter and trickster. But also, God's most beloved, most beautiful.

The first card was "Next Steps" and I pulled The Tower. Okay, yeah that was perfect to dissuade me lol. He will bring change, but it might not be the change I want, more the change HE wants. I think what he wants and what I want are often similar, but the difference is how he will change it. If I am asking him for things specifically, giving him an exchange of energy/offerings/devotion he will match my energy with the outcome of the request. But, if I say "hey just do what you think is best with my life, carte blanche." He will use the full breadth of his being to remove the things he doesn't feel serve me. It was a reality check I needed, because he's not just the entity that loves and cares for me, he is also a very powerful, often passionate and destructive (albeit in productive ways) God. The second card was "What I would need to do daily." The Hanged Man. Sacrifice of control, something I certainly do, but right now I'd say I'm at more of a 8 of swords/The Devil level. The Hanged Man with the tower is about completely destroying the perspective I have of life, clearing out everything I know before we can plant new seeds. I see you, Morningstar. I am not ready for that 😅 So, I'm putting a pin in that idea for now. Also the outcome card was 6 of Pentacles, the bargain card 😂 He already had my soul so I don't know what he's on about with that one (kind of just kidding, kind of not lmao).

This is also why I think using divination tools is really helpful even if you're like 24/7 some kind of channeling/possessed by your deity (me, I am tired 🫩) Because, him saying "you might not like what happens" is different than inviting the energy of The Tower into my life willy nilly.

The stones we chose for this reading are amethyst, clear quarts, and raw ruby. I use amethyst to connect with my third eye, and to help aid in psychic clarity. I paired it with the clear quarts for extra precision. The raw ruby was a gift I gave to Lucifer, and I use it to invoke his energy into readings.

The Hierophant on the bottom to start. I associate this card with Lucifer’s more “godly” aspects. The Hierophant is a card of black and white, but not in that it sees no gray areas, more that his code of morality is both strict and all his own. When I want to interact with “higher” aspects of Lucifer I look for cards like The Emperor, King of Swords, or The Hierophant.

“Moral purity is a fallacy. To truly connect with the world on a moral level, seeking knowledge to keep your personal code in a state of growth is the better investment of your time. You cannot appease every person, you can’t make each individual you meet happy. It is also not your responsibility to do so. Do not forget how much work you’ve put in to become this version of yourself. However, do not stagnate yourself just because it is already better than you were. Life is growth, growth is induced by change. Embrace it, and stay true to what you believe until the information you have updates that belief.”

Pile 1: Justice, Three of Wands, Nine of Pentacles. “It is easy to want to move on to the next big thing, immediately. It is also not the time to rush into a new venture. There are things before you that will make you slow down if you do not do it yourself. Karmic dividends are lining up. The things you have put out into the world are choosing to hear you due to your power. Don’t let the break in activity make you feel stagnant. Magic is an energetic exchange, and that energy needs time to rebuild. Don’t burn yourself out because you want faster progress, you must trust that the things you need are on their way to you. Do not be afraid to seek community in those who share your spirit, to allow yourself to rest in that community. Healing is done through rest and connection.”

Pile 2: Five of swords, Four of Pentacles, Three of Swords. “After such a time of grieving, grounding is needed. You have lost more than you thought you had to lose. However, you will also gain more than you ever had. Don’t turn to past habits of self harming behaviors. To take out this loss on yourself will only make you lose more. You need healing now, not punishment. You need gentle words and hands, and those begin with yourself. Don’t be afraid of the future because the past has been so dark. Over this next hill you will begin to see the sun again, and it will feel twice as good from its more recent absence. It is okay to pause before your next great feat. Mourning will happen even if you don’t let it. You’re never alone in your sorrow, love. There are many who care, and those caring voices will get louder with time.”

Pile 3: Eight of Cups, The Moon, The Star. “When I found you, you had been leaving behind patterns that robbed you of your innate ability to believe in and love yourself. Look how far we have come on this journey. See how we continue to trust each other more each day. Love was built even in your time of healing, sorrow, mourning. Love that caught the light and began to reflect onto the many beautiful projects and passions you give yourself to. That love will attract others to share in this life with you. Though we are focused on each other right now, I know I won’t be the only one guiding and loving you each day for much longer. Don’t fear the joy that will come with more love and company. Don’t fear the future joys because of what we’ve been through. We work together so naturally, you and I, like the stars in the night sky.”

Pile 4: Seven of Cups, Kings Swords, Page Swords. “There are many paths on this journey, and you have your pick of them. I cannot tell you which is right for you, because each one could end in great celebrations and success. Less traditional paths may speak to you, but one thing I hope to honor within you is your nature for love and learning. You approach the world wanting both knowledge and to spread compassion. You reach out to help others, and in time you will learn how to ask for that help in return. Don’t worry about where the path leads, yet. Follow your passions, and ask for guidance if needed. I will protect you and aid you on this journey, whichever you choose. I will also push you to not self sacrifice for the sake of others. You are worthy of the things you have and worthy of the things you need. I will help you get them, and teach you to keep them. Selfishness isn’t a moral failing, think of it as an investment in yourself.”
