civilians. don’t. work. for the GAR.

they don’t. it’s not canon. and it’s not a thing. they aren’t intelligence officers — they’re upper leadership, like admirals. they were assigned to serve the jedi.

they command the GAR.

like tarkin, like yularen. they’re important people and important assets.

this idea about civvie officers in the GAR, being more readily engrained and involved — is an original idea. to me and lauren’s knowledge it didn’t exist before she wrote translation error and i wrote about fennec (my oc) & his officer. even further, mechanics and other supplementary civvie officers don’t exist. pilots, certainly don’t either.

and i’ve rung my brain in my writing to explain why i wrote these “fix-it so my reader can be around a clone”. i never just boop! throw something in. i’ve worked to make shit work, y’know? i’ve made it a story. it’s a plot point. the outer rim sieges, the slowing down of clone breeding, etc. why else would they hire civvies?

and i hate that i’m speaking in terms of “me, me, me” because it makes me feel like shit. but to my knowledge, there’s a small group of peeps who have set a present with reader characters and lots of people have picked ‘em up and ran with it.
